i am getting pop up "do you want to allow this app to make change to your device". its getting more forceful.. its not small pop up but force other things back of screen and show only this popup. i can x-out to bring the previous sceen back but until i hit "yes" this pop up keeps coming back... is this legit? i dont want to hit yes till confirm that this is legit...please see screenshot as attached.
Hey everyone, I tried searching for the answer to this question but couldn't find a definitive one. The situation is this: I have a 1.04 GB company file that is 21 years old, and I want to reduce the file size for better performance. Today I created a portable file as a test, that took the size down to 144 MB, which is a huge decrease. My understanding is that Quickbooks shaves off all customizations including logos, templates, etc. when creating a portable file. My question is, if I were to restore the portable file and place it back in the original location (after backing up my original file), and give it the same file name as the original, will it find and restore all the existing customizations and support files in that directory? If so, this would be a better solution for me than condensing the file which has me a little nervous about losing data. Thank you all in advance!
As a small business owner, I sought assistance from Quickbooks to reconcile my books. However, I was surprised to receive an invoice totaling $1500, when the fee for cleanup was only supposed to be $500. Unfortunately, the invoice did not provide a breakdown of the additional charges. I attempted to dispute the charges with customer service, but they were unable to provide guidance. I also reached out to my live bookkeeper, but have not received a response yet. Do you have any suggestions on how I can resolve this issue?

Is it safe to delete old Program Data and Program Files directly for previous versions of QB Desktop from the C drive folders on a PC? I've used QB Desktop & Enterprise for many years and found that QB takes up alot of space in our hard drive. Is it safe to delete files from Program Files, Program Data, Company Files that are older versions of QB? Is it also safe to delete from the QuickBooks Auto Data Recovery folder if the file is marked "ADR.old"? Thank you for your help!

I have QuickBooks Enterprise and manage several companies. Right now I am only able to have one company accept credit cards. I have set up two merchant accounts using our general email, but am not able to set up the second account to receive credit cards. When I go to Customers > Link payment service to company file, it only allows me to transfer the current merchant account. When I click on any of the links to add credit card processing, nothing happens. I need to be able to accept credit cards through multiple companies using one email address and multiple merchant services accounts. Can I do this?
I recently moved from Quickbooks Desktop Pro to Quickbooks Enterprise and all the notes on my inventory items are gone. So I resolved to go back and add them in again. Notes will not save and disappear completely. This is extremely annoying.
I was able to make one of my old products inactive but I have several others that give the following message when I try to do the same with them:"We couldn't make your item(s) inactive Take a look at the item(s), and try again."
I can search for the items by the description in my Products & Services list but not when I am creating an invoice or estimate.
Hello, We are using QB Desktop Enterprise 24.0. We are suddenly experiencing an issue where users are logging into QB and are immediately logged out/QB crashes. Sometimes they receive the message attached and sometimes they do not. We recently did a condense on the company file (without removing transactions), so not sure if this has had any impact. Any suggestions on why this may be happening and how to fix it? It does not seem to be happening to all users.
I am in the process of switching everything to a new computer. I include attachments to all of my invoices to keep paper usage down and we have a lot of invoices as we are a general contractor. My QBDT (2024 version) does not automatically migrate the attachments, as Intuit knows.(Why it doesn’t migrate is beyond me except I know you want everybody to go online.) so with the guidance of an online QB support person we thought we figured out how to do it. Copy and paste the file folders within the “attach” folder in the company file. Now when I go into my new computer and look at the invoices it shows the red tic in the attachment tab but when I open it, there are no attachments. What do I do now? This is absurd. If I can’t do this and am audited I am screwed because this is my backup!!!

I have many products on different categories so while making an invoice it's quite time consuming going over the whole list of products and services to find the one that I want to include. Is there a way to filter the products by categories while making the invoice or what are your suggestions for finding the products easier while doing the invoices.

HI TeamI have two requests to make1. We have been facing a recurring issue with QB desktop. When users try to login to QB they get the error, " this action requires windows administrator permission" and then it does not allow anyone to login until an admin having access to server logs in. This most of the time happens on the Mondays. We are not sure why this error is coming and what could be a permanent resolution to it. 2. Also, can anybody help with a regular maintenance schedule that QB desktop with 2023 and 2024 version.Kindly advise.Thank youBasanti
It says my account has been disabled. Neither myself or my bookkeeper can access our online account. We paid our annual subscription fee in December. Nothing works. It just says: Sorry, but this company is not subscribed to QuickBooks Online Plus.I'd like to subscribe now. I don't need to subscribe again. I need access to my accounts. Who can I contact to fix this?
