I am very upset with Quickbooks and want to know what other software you are using? Just found out that you have to upgrade to Pro Plus and it IS YEARLY not every 3 years as before. This has not been relayed to us until now. I will be finding alternative software and will not give in to this BLACKMAIL!

We are using progressive invoicing. And in every invoice the client can see, according to quantity and amount, how much we already converted from the estimate before and will convert later. In estimate I also see the total amount, remaining estimate amount and invoiced (converted) amount. But the client sees in estimate only what is the total amount and quantity. Is it possible for client also to see not only the total estimate amount, but also remaining amount and invoiced (converted) amount as a PDF version? I didn't find such option....
Hi - While I am new to QuickBooks, I am utilizing a feature that should be pretty intuitive. I have customized an estimate to use, but I cannot select it from the Estimates side panel. Under "Other Templates", it indicates "(view only)". I can see the template I created, but upon selection, nothing changes in the main screen. Only the "Recommended Template" (modern) can be used. Please advise.
The last update of quickbooks is awful. Now after adding estimate info, you need to go to settings and refresh data before it will show up on the customer record?? Why?? I don't understand how this even makes sense to add this to an update. It was beautiful before.
I need assistance on what Quickbooks product for a Mac I should purchase. I have used Quickbooks in the past, acutally from its inception for my S corporation business which was retired in 2011. I now have a small sole propriety business that only has few clients but I need a double entry accounting system. I am and will be using my personal checking account for the business which natually I am comminiling both personal and business funds. In the past, one would purchase Quickbooks and download it to a computer but Intuit has a new business model where you either have a desktop or cloud version on a monthly or yearly fee. I'm using my SSN as my EIN and pay Quarterlies. My priorities are to setup a Chart of Accounts and manually input all transaction, which are a few, to the check register. I also need to forward and electronic copy to my CPA. There will be only one user on both a Desktop and Laptop and I am not price sensitive.
I'm just an employee of a company that used QB for many years. For all the times our employees have never been asked to provide a driver license. QB customer service normally ask for a name on the account, and ALL info about a company, company name, address, account and phone numbers, etc. for verification. Based on what law QuickBooks CSR is asking me to give them my driver license with ID#, my personal address, year of birth? Thank you.
I need help setting up a SEP IRA account and to record the contributions (debits from the bank account) made by the LLC in QBO. Since I do not use the payroll feature, this won't be a payroll transaction. I need guidance on how to set up the SEP IRA account and how to properly record the transactions. Should the SEP IRA be classified as a liability or an equity account? Are the contributions recorded on the Profit & Loss statement? To clarify, the company owners have both opened SEP IRA account and used the business account to make the contributions (funding).
I am using QBDT 2022 for a custom homebuilder and need to track the expiration dates of sub contractors' worker's comp & gen liability insurance. Is this possible in QBDT?
They keep telling me its a sytem issue. My vendors are getting irate with me and I'm close to losing payment terms with them and have to be COD. This is very wrong and concerning no one at quickbooks has an answer. Spoke to at least 30 people at quickbooks and not one person has a clue. How is this possible?
Good Morning, I can't be the only one that is tired of the constant updates and things switching around. I don't understand why all of this is necessary. That and the ads that get more and more in your face. You can't even remove them sometimes☹ I just want to do my work without being told I need to have a qb checking account.

I have posted and reposted a split transaction (credit card bill) manually and when I go back in to update it or post a payment, it collapses all the lines into one account. I've wasted hours and not sure what is happening on the back end. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
I've been a customer since starting a QuickBooks self employed account in high school... I love the product as it is simple to use and has been easy up until I recently started a new company and created a new business account. After submitting multiple invoices and getting them paid by clients I waited 2 weeks to then finally get an email telling me that QuickBooks has held my funds for some reason. From there I had a call with QuickBooks and they told me that the invoices looked correct and I was not violating any guidelines. 2 days later I get a call from another person saying they will be shutting down both accounts for "self funding" and there is nothing I can do to stop this. They would release the funds as a curtesy one time but would close not only the new account but any accounts I had in my name. 2 days later no funds are received and both accounts still closed... I call again this time a very polite lady helps me out and apologizes for the
I see a lot of articles online about connection issues with remote computers and how to fix with file doctor, firewall permissions, etc. I've tried pretty much all of it. The issue I'm having can be easily diagnosed if you understand when it happens. I have a computer that is the server that holds the main file and the file resides in a public folder. The server computer can connect to the Quickbooks file with no issues and in any situation other than the typical "turn on multi-user" or "you need more user licenses" (I have 2 user licenses). The issue arises when the server computer is connected to the file and the remote computer tries to connect. I get the error I mention above, but I can connect to the file if the server computer is not connected to file. So what I have to do is always tell my employee to please log out, I log in from my remote computer and then she logs back in with no issues. the option button is missing to switch back to old invoice style. on this new style you can not get a signature, when looking at a customer and hit invoice you have to search to find the customer again, and once you create the invoice it doesn't show up under the customer but it will show the "open" amount so you can't even take the payment!!!
When adding and subscribing for a new QBO client as a QBOA, can I use my QBOA credentials (Email and phone number) for the client organization so that I am a Primary Admin for my QBOA file as well as Primary Admin for the client QBO file. I want to be able to be Primary Admin for my QBOA file as well as any number of new QBO organization I subscribe for under my QBOA account.In my services and SLA with prospective clients I want to make it clear that I would own the client set of QBO Books while I am offering my services to them. This is so that data integrity is ensured of my work and my deliverables to the client are not impacted. This would otherwise be compromised if the Primary Admin of the client organization in QBO is them as they could alter my work performed for them.In future if we want to part ways, I would share their data with them but retain their QBO file and let it die it's natural death unless at that point the client wants to take over their QBO file in which case I w
Want to setup sync between QuickBooks customers and Outlook Contacts. Running the "contact_sync_setup" I get an error that other applications/installations are running. Outlook and QuickBooks are closed. After restarting the windows laptop, and running the setup exe before starting these applications gives the same error result. Can anyone with experience help?

We just recently upgraded to QB Desktop Pro 2020. I accidentally entered an inventory adjustment twice. Is there a way to delete the duplicate entry or do I just have to do a reversing entry? I would prefer to delete rather than have the extra entries possibly cause more confusion. I have searched the web and the QB community but all of the solutions don't seem to work for my version. Many thanks on a solution.
