How do you record invoices as paid considering the owner traded a personal vehicle with the vendor in order to pay the balance due on multiple invoices?
Hi, I am using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop. Is there a way we can set users permission to edit closed transactions for some time (30 minutes)?Can each user have their own password for editing closed transactions?
I'm unable to pay for my quickbooks simple start subscription due to a error "Unable to process your request at this time. Please sign out and try again later. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message. (Error code: -81708, type: INVALID_REQUEST)"It also shows that Quickbooks money is enabled. Maybe that has something to do with it. Anyone know what the issue is?
Quickbooks Online is VERY elementary with regards to Customer Contacts (Vendors also for that matter) I dont see where you can have invoices go to email [email address removed] and statements go to [email address removed] is that right? I dont even see a place to keep track of multiple contact info at all. Right now, I have a huge list of customers that want the statements emailed to their accounting office email, which is different than the main customer email. It requires me to remember, and manually type email addresses in the statements screen each month. Not to mention interim statements if someone asks. As an accountant user, Its almost impossible to keep this up for multiple of my clients. HELP
We need to use two different invoice templates however when do a new invoice and select a particular template - it changes ALL the previous invoices to that template. How do we ensure the invoice template we select does not change all the previous invoices?
Quickbooks management does not have a clue what is going on with there support team. Here is an example of a chat I had today with Quickbooks support asking about an open issue. 30 minutes not one ounce of information. I have no choice but to go to support to ask about my issues because they close them when they have not been resolved and assign them INV number. Then when you ask for information they just give you a hard time. What a waste of everybody's time.
All of a sudden this morning, everything is showing the same error message: "Something went wrong. We are working on it" Is there an ETA on a fix?
Quickbooks 2021 for mac When I manually import (it is the only way I can) a .qbo file from my bank, Quickbooks auto-populates the name of the account it thinks it believes it should be in. Many times it guesses this right, but there are sometimes it isn't. I don't mind it trying since it is usually right, but it is using names of accounts that have been closed. How do I delete some of the names it uses, or tell it to stop using some of the names, etc.? Thank you Screen shot: account name has been closed for over 10 years
I recently switched for Desktop to Online.
The business I work for has two QB Online accounts. The first one has not been used in a couple years, but we continue to pay the monthly minimum QB subscription fee to access the data. The second account is the only one we are using now. We do not need to merge the first account with the second one. We only need to download and save all the data from the first account to archive it. On rare occasions we need to pull some data from the first account. How can we download the data from the first account in a way that we can archive it (and access it if needed), and finally cancel the monthly QB online subscription?
Is anyone else having trouble tabbing from one field to another in checks, invoices, etc? When entering a transaction, as I tab from Tags to Category, there's an GI problem and it also just stops advancing by tabbing. I have to manually click in Category to enter the category and continue (I've included a screenshot). From there it is fine, and if I enter multiple transactions it behaves normally with other transactions going forward. It just happens in the first instance I add a new transaction (but if I close and go back, or close and go to add a different type of transaction, the error recurs). This is happening both in the QB Desktop App (which I am disappointed is going away, BTW) and the regular browser version and has been happening for a few days now. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be appreciated!
Using QBO - Simple Start I say "customer" as we are a scout troop using QBO for accounting purposes and our "customer's" are our scouts, their parents and our leaders. We, the troop, receives payments from our "customers" to pay for camping trips, summer camp, uniforms, patches, etc. Monthly a "customer" acts as the chef for our campout and purchases food for the troop with their own money. They submit a reimbursement request and are paid back for the food out of the camping fee the troop collects for each campout. The problem I'm running into is that the check paid to the "customer" is not showing up on their customer page where I can see invoices and payments. What can I do? Thank you in advance for any assistance.
In the past 3 days, the amount of lag I experience with QB has been horrible. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there a fix?

I had previously set up check printing on Mac QBO. Today I cannot print checks or reports from QBO. When I try to print, or try to use print set up, I get a preview with the green print button at bottom right. When I click that button, it opens a new tab, with a PDF. I have tried to delete and re-add my printer. I have restarted the Mac. I have turned off content blockers and pop-up window blockers. I have tried to print from the Safari menu, which brings up my printer. My printer queue shows up for everything else on my Mac, but not when called by QBO (including check printing, check printing setup, and report printing). I do not know what else to check at this point.
I'm having an ongoing issue with WebConnector in QB Desktop. For whatever reason it seems they do not understand the issue I'm trying to resolve, even when I provide detailed notes, screenshots, etc. The process is a pain as it seems to end up in a flowchart/scripted support session. Lots of questions and basic "try this" steps, nothing has helped.I need a support engineer that has greater knowledge of the WebConnector app, how the logging works, and how to adjust its behavior.I can't seem to get that point across on the Level 1 calls/chats, it just does not register.Hopefully someone can help, please.
I'm hoping someone from the community can assist. This is technical, not inside of the QB app, but in our onsite Quickbooks server. We use Webconnector to sync data between QB and Salesforce. The Webconnector logfile has a "DEBUG" message that repeats around 10 times per second. After a week, there are over 78,000 instances of the message. The logfile is up to 33MB. Not only is it very noisy and hard to read the logfile for any "real" problems... the logfile just eats up storage space. At this rate, in 30 weeks, it will get up to 1 GB? Too much!Looking for a way to stop this "DEBUG" message from repeating. So far I'm unsuccessful with Intuit Support. Who do I contact to change my QBO Recertification Training Webinar dates?
I don't know what happened recently, but when doing entries, when I finish a line item and tab to go to the next line, the tab is taking me to the Add Lines option instead of the next line in the entry. This is happening in all entries. Please fix this!!! It will take me 10 times longer to do entries if I have to go in and click into the next line instead of just being able to tab through and do my entries.
My Quickbooks account has yet again switched to the new layout for Invoices. There is a MASSIVE problem with this template. We use billable expenses and when we do an invoice, there may well be a hundred or more of these items. The new template lacks an Add All button! You have to click every since billable item individually. Is this feature hidden somewhere? Or is it just left off?
Hello Quickbooks Community, we have Updated our Quickbooks Desktop Version 2024 and now we have to make Company file update. We are not able to choose anything else. After a few minutes we receive the message: Quickbooks found a problem with the acct..... This contains sensitive informatin and must be fixed. The support article leads us to the normal Quickbooks website and is no help.After a few minutes the upgrade is closed and we can only start the Upgrade again and receive the same message and the programm is closed. We would like to fix the problem. However we are not able to log in because of this Company file Update / updgrade.Does someone have a solution for this problem? Many thanks in advance.

Is there a way to display unused funds on a line of credit? Let’s say I have a credit card with a line of credit/ credit limit of $100. If it’s completely paid off, could it display something like “credit card remaining unused balance: $100.” or if I’ve spent $30 this month, it shows a current balance of $30, and then display unused balance of $70.
