We plan on upgrading QB Desktop Premier 2021 to QB Desktop Premier 2024 in May. We run a client/server setup in multi-user mode with 5 users. Two companies are supported with the larger company file at approximately 700MB. Hardware/software specs are fine but was wondering if there are any issues with the size of the company file when doing the upgrade?

Hello, We recently noticed we could no longer go into Multi-user mode for our QuickBooks 2016 (Premier). I have tried following the H202 guide but to no avail. When running the Quickbooks Database Server Manager on our server (where our company file is located) I get the following two messages.QBDBMgrN not running on this computerWindows Firewall: Disabled exceptions not defined I have gone into the services.msc of the server and doubled click on the QuickbooksDBXX and select "Automatic" (it was set to "manual") for the startup type and Restart the Service for the first, second, and subsequent failures. But after trying to start I get the following message "The QuickBooksDB26 Service on Local Computer started then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs. At this point I am not sure what to do and hoping for some guidance on getting this fixed. Thanks.

I'm trying to set up a car loan in QuickBooks. I already set up the long term liabilities account and entered the loan amount. Do I have to set up a fixed asset account also? If I have to set up a fixed asset account, which account do I apply the monthly car payments to? thank you!
Using QB Desktop for Mac 2024Trying to download my Amex transactions as I've done for years.Connects to Amex.Then I get: There were problems with the account(s) at your financial institution. Tried with Chase bank and got the same thing. I reconnected to both. Seems like it's a QB issue, not Amex. Anyone else having issues?
I cannot get QB to print checks to an office network printer. I can print any other type of file from the same computer QB is installed on. When I try to print checks from my printer of choice nothing happens. No print que, nothing.Is there some security feature that doesn't allow printing on a remote printer?
Hello,I have set up a vendor custom field (type=number), and while I can see it and fill it, it saves the value randomly. So I can save, exit, and return to the vendor 3 times before the value is actually stored in the system. I have tried filling that field both from the vendor view and from the transaction view and I witness the same behavior in both.The behavior is so random. I tested changing a saved value, and ended up losing it altogether again.Has anyone faced this? Any tips?Worth noting that I have played with 2 custom fields in the vendor view and one of them is more consistent than the other, although both are not reliable!
I have a intuit quickbooks plus annual subscription. I see where I can download an upgrade to 2024 desktop pro plus. Do I have to purchase quickbooks pro plus 2024 first, and how does that work. Can I first download using my old license or do I have to purchase one online for 2024 first.
My organization is a non-profit. I am a non-financial volunteer who is responsible for posting all transactions in QBonline. We rent out facility for Events such as Weddings and conferences. We currently post each payment we receive to "Current Liability" accounts (Refundable Security Deposits and Rental Deposits Held) as they occur. Can we use a "Pledge" to enter the entire amount expected to receive over time and receive "Partial" payments as they occur. I read online that if a Pledge is created the Rental contract amount will post to "Income" and "Accounts Receivable". I don't know if this is correct since we don't earn the revenue until the event is completed. Any info would be appreciated. Currently, when the event is completed we move the money from current liabilities to Revenue or Decrease Currently Liabilities when we refund the Security Deposit. Can we use a pledge to record each Rental Event?
I just switched to QuickBooks Online from desktop and have tons of questions-set up issues that I can't get the answers to.
I can see that transactions have been categorized, but those transactions are not showing up in the vendor list. Can anyone explain this to me?
I have the mobile app on two different iPhones, one of them automatically updates the IOS and the QB app. This device is up to date and since the most recent update all of the products that are in my QB system do not show up. The device that is not up to date works just fine. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and the issue has not been resolved.
Hi, everyone!We use QB for Desktop, version 21. The files are hosted on a server. Recently, we changed the password and privileges for a user, and all the attachments on that file now appear broken, as if the path where they are located is wrong. The attachments are still in the same folders as they were originally, but we can not open them from QB. All those attachments were uploaded by that user. We already used the file doctor tool, but it hasn't worked. Any suggestions?
We run QB on its own Win10 pro "server" and our bookkeeper accesses it from her Win10 pro workstation. We have two company databases she accesses. Suddenly this morning on the main company database she is having an issue switching out of Single User mode. When she tries she gets the H202 error. I've tried all the common fixes. Whats weird is the mode switching works fine when she is in the other database. Also I am able to switch between modes with no problem on both databases when I sign into QB directly on the server and do it. So it indeed seems to be only when accessing the database over the network.I have run the Quickbooks Program Diagnostic tool from the QB Tool Hub on her computer as well as running the Database Manager Scan on the server. All the services related to the database manager are running. But nothing has resolved the problem. She can use QB fine but she is stuck in Single User when in the main company database. Any ideas?

In QBO, when I click Vendors, I have the column set to show Vendor Type - a custom field.I can click the Vendor Type header, and an arrow appears, as if you can sort by vendor type. When I click, it reloads, but does nothing to sort the list. Is it possible to make this function properly?
I have a 3 user license for QB 2016 desktop for Mac. Two of our computers died. I need to get QB running on 3 machines. It currently is running on only one machine.
