Let's say I have a work order open in Quickbooks Desktop Point of Sale. Whenever I add 2 of the same items, instead of just adding +1 to the ordered quantity column, it creates a brand new line item. I would like to change this so that if I enter an item thats already listed on the work order, it automatically 'merges' with the existing line item and just adds to the order quantity. I attached a screenshot above. In this example, if I type in 7755 twice into the item search bar, I would like it to display TWO of the Clear Eyes product. Thank you!

There are two "Get things done" views to the Dashboard. One has the Money In - Money out Outline view and the other simply has "Shortcut" icons.. I didn't know the "Shortcut" view existed until it magically appeared about 6 weeks ago. This morning, the login screen changed and QBO is back to the "Outline" view. I don't like the "Outline" view because every time you click Receive payments, you must cancel the "Setup Quickbooks Payments" advertisement. The "Shortcuts" view doesn't prompt this annoying advertisement. An example of both views are shown at about 1:25 into this video:https://www.teachucomp.com/the-dashboard-page-in-quickbooks-online-instructions/ How do I toggle back to the "Shortcuts" view?
Hi,Some of the products we sell are custom orders. When this happens we need to send purchase order to the manufacturer for the custom order. I need to be able to easily find the relationship between the sales order and the purchase order for tracking purposes. Does anyone have a recommendation on how to accomplish this? At the moment I use the memo field of the purchase order, but this method is not efficient. Any recommendations? Thanks
I just manually inputted a years worth of credit card charges as credits, is there an easy way to correct that or am I going to have to delete each one and start over?
We had a previous employee create a bill pay account within QB, but it was only partially done. I am in the process of trying to reconcile the past year. Am I able to just undo this account she created? And transfer everything in the bill pay account to the respective account, such as Supplies, etc?

I am hoping someone can offer some insight as to what I am doing incorrectly and how to change my steps to resolve this issue. A customer receives an estimate for the work to be completed. Once they agree to the amount, we collect 50% deposit to place them into the production que. I have set up an Upfront Deposit account and use Sales Receipt to record deposits per instructions listed here (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/help-article/invoicing/manage-upfront-deposits-retainers/L7dNnFGBi_US_en_US). Then, I make a bank deposit when the amount (usually a check) is deposited into the business account. Once the job is complete, the customer is invoiced and the amount of deposit (sales receipt) is entered under deposit (image 1 & 2). Receive Final Payment is used to record final amount. HOWEVER, I have noticed since starting the upfront deposits that a third "Invoice" amount is left in undeposited funds which amounts to the deposit (image 3). Clearly, I am not accep
It appears that QuickBooks customer support has been intentionally set up for failure. Customers using QuickBooks enterprise no less which have made large investments in this for software and support have suffered unnecessarily with terribly ineffective support designed to frustrate the customer to the maximum degree. As an IT professional I've seen this over and over again. I have a situation with an enterprise customer that is suffering constant unrecoverable errors to all users multiple times per day for months now five hours on the phone today and yesterday to help out a client and I was told that I need to call back in when the issue occurs (which is why I called in in the first place just now with screenshots) And was told again that unless the issue occurs while the representative watches it occur it cannot be escalated. Complete Nonsense. No surprise this appears to be an orchestrated plan to shed customers off their desktop products!
I am hating Quickbooks. First the ability to print invoices in the new layout stopped working. The only workaround I could find was to print and save to my computer then send using my email. Very inconvenient. Then I was told that the new layout was still beta and to use the old layout. I started using it thinking, surely it will have the same information on the invoice. Nope. I have customers with sub customers. On the old layout, it only shows the customer. I need it to show the SUB CUSTOMER. This was just brought to my attention, so now I have to go and print out ALL the invoices I have sent with the old layout. Nope. Can't figure out how to open the invoices in the new layout to print them.
I have several QuickBooks company files stored on a Windows server which is running the QB Database server. Other users have no problem logging into these companies. When I login to any of these companies QuickBooks appears to load for a few seconds then crashes before any company windows appear. (I do always get a login screen.) If I copy those companies to my computer I get the same result. If I copy them to my computer then disconnect my Internet connection I can get into them. I have tried different network connections. I have tried creating a different Windows user account on my computer. If I attempt to login to these companies from another computer it is successful. I have completely removed and reinstalled QuickBooks on my computer. What could this be? I'm inclined to believe QuickBooks is doing some sort of Internet check during the company opening process which is unsuccessful, but disconnecting the Internet causes that check to be bypassed. My next step is to wipe the compute
I was approved for $35,000.00 for invoicing when does that enter my bank account?

I have many bank accounts in my QuickBooks Enterprise system. I have used this system since 2011 and love it. Several years ago I began to have problems if I added a new bank account. I could add the new bank account but the register would not open and the reconcile would not open. I get a Warning that says:"Before you can access this account, QB needs to verify that you have the correct permissions. You need to log out and then log in with the user name and password assigned by your System Administrator." Keep in mind the old bank accounts still function that would created before this problem began. Also, if I create a new company and add a bank account it works fine. So, this problem is only occurring in this one company file which is many years old. I am the only user and it is not password protected. I am a small boutique operation so I have found ways around to manage these small added bank accounts. I need to get this error fixed.&
Looking for a suggestion. I have an ecommerce store (BigCommerce) I import the sales receipts using Connex for QuickBooks, works great. Problem is that my customer list is now at 33k, this is not sustainable. Although I like being able to search for a customers order, I think I will need to forgo that option.I am thinking of creating a single customer , say BC Orders where each sales receipt comes into, so we will not be creating more customers just more sales receipts. I cant just do a daily run because of the various sales taxes.Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.Vincent

On some of my inventory items, the available quantity is incorrect. The on hand quantity is correct (based on a physical count). The available quantity is to high in all cases. For example, quantity of 2 shows for on hand, which is the correct quantity but the available quantity shows 3. Is there a way to change the available quantity in the point of sale 19.0?
