I've made a mess. My bank pw changed at the start of the year and I never updated QB with the new one, so I never pulled in any transactions. That's bad enough, but now I'm at the point that my bank won't send them more than about 10-12 weeks worth. This leaves me to have to upload all 9 months of CSV files. I'm worried about invoices paid directly through QB (cc & EFT). They were always in QB of course and I'll be pulling them in as deposits for the 2nd time with my manual upload. Is there any way QB will flag the duplicate deposits for deletion or will I have to do so manually? I also need to delete only the new uploaded version correct? Leaving the QB version alone I would think. This is already a mess and I'd prefer to not make it too much worse. Thanks!
I'd appreciate any guidance on how/whether to set up employees for Delaware Paid Leave program when using an approved private insurer. Since we're using a private insurer for our state requirement, we don't want QBO Payroll to record and make contributions to the state. The set up instructions appear to be silent about this use case. So am unclear as to whether to set up the contribution and exempt all of my employees, or is there another method for this scenario. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
My credit card has a parent account from which payments are made.One account has the charges and one account has the payments. However, they share 1 statement.How do i reconcile if there are 2 dif accounts that are merged with one statement?

My business is exempt from contributing to the new Delaware FMLA insurance. I follow the guidelines from QB to mark the business exempt and my one employee as exempt. I got a “reminder” today that if I don’t set up the policy that payroll will be temporarily blocked. I set the policy, so why am I being threatened to have payroll blocked?

My client moved their data to QBO, however they've been in business forever. They have years of historical data and want to access it. How can they do this still? When they try to open it in QB Premier 2023, it says they have 3 days left. I originally found information that said they would have 3 years to view their old data. They do not want to do anything with the data file, other than look and possibly print old invoices or reports. It seems like Intuit should let QBO users access their desktop files by default. I've read that they just need to download the trial version, but not to register it, and they are good. Is this accurate?
If they are doing away with the tags in February are they going to open up more custom fields?
I know how to set up a company and employees to pay by Direct Deposit, but cannot find where to set up Vendors to pay for Direct Deposit. Comparing 2 separate Desktop 2018 clients - One has the Direct Deposit option next to Additional Info tab in a Vendor record, the other QB file does not.
Hello, The state of CT has a new sick pay rule that starts Jan 1, 2025.Employees must earn sick time|PTO using the accrual method, which gives 1 hour of sick time/PTO for each 30 hours worked.I need the QB system to allow me to set up this 1 hour for 30 hours worked and to stop accruing after an employee reaches the 30-hour mark each week.Quickbooks Enterprise payroll does not allow the system to be set up accordingly. How should I proceed? Any help out there? Do we know if QB will make an update to accommodate the new law?
QuickBooks Online freezes after editing and trying to save an estimate. I have tried "save" and "print and download". Neither work. If I make a copy of the estimate and save that though, it works. In other words, I can only save an estimate once (if I go in to edit it an existing estimate, then I can't save it). The screen just sits in "saving" mode forever. If I try to back out of it, it gives me the "Leave without Saving" prompt. I have tried-*logging out and logging back in*restarting computer*clearing cache of browser and mac*using incognito mode*using a different browser*using a different computer*using a different wifi*using a different account linked to the same quickbooks Open to any suggestions.

Hello, I accidently matched a deposit to the wrong transaction after hitting confirm match which takes it to the use register and reconciles it. It is showing as reconciled in the use register, how do I undo this to match the deposit to the correct customer? Will it still show up in unrecognized after I undo it? Thanks!
I recently merged 2 sales tax payable vendor names together so they would be in one place. ( btw I use desktop QB Enterprise Manufacturing and Wholesale 24.0 Platinum version.)When I go to pay my sales tax for the month, I now have a credit and debit in the same amount that is all of the past transactions for 13 years. I can't click and "pay them", they just give me a message they have been paid with credits and a check won't be written to this vendor. Nothing happens they just stay there in the sales tax payable as a debit and credit line. The credit one has the correct vendor name next to it, the debit one will not allow me to add the vendor name. I did a journal entry, and it doesn't get rid of it. It just messes up my reports. If I look at the "open balance" on the vendor I merged them with, all the past transaction show up, equaling the total that is in the "pay sales tax". Is there an easy fix to this? Afternoon folks,Wondering if this is a bug or what. The 'Sales Tax' section of Product/Service item creation or editing has suddenly disappeared for me. Creating a new item or editing an existing one, the space for the section still exists but there is no interaction possible. I've tried browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari), computers both Mac and Windows, and even downloaded the desktop app and tried that on both computers. I am completely unable to edit sales tax, and a majority of our products are non-taxable. If I create a new one, it automatically makes it taxable. Anyone have ideas for a fix? Much appreciated,
I am having an issue with the desktop app running extremely slow over the past two weeks. Prior to this time it was very efficient. Now if I change company from the dropdown list, it takes 2-3 minutes to complete the change. In addition, I have to refresh or the company data does not change. Any suggestions?
Hello, I received an email that indicates I need to accept new terms and conditions for my payroll deductions and remits to the government to continue. However, I see blog posts in the community saying that I don't need to do anything for the taxes to continue. Which is it? Thank you.PJL P.S. Next time, please include instructions in the email as to where users should go within the application in order to update any necessary information. Don't include links that could lead your users to think that a fraudulent email is actually safe in the future. We use a 3rd party to do Payroll. We incorrectly paid the LLC owner and had to void the transaction in their system. However, it has already been booked in QB. The net pay can be reclassified to owners draw, but how should we reclassify the taxes taken out & recorded with the journal entry? Thanks!
