I closed a business and therefore connected my bank accounts to my new business. I need to look at my old businesses bank transactions but the bank is no longer there.where else can I look
You have a help page on how to use Starling spaces and to treat them like a transaction to another account. However you do not detail how you can reconcile the bank account on Quickbooks to the bank statement because surely it is going to be different because Starling still treats the bank statement as the whole amount and in Quickbooks the spaces are in separate accounts?

Hi,I am using QB advanced payroll and the Employer NI contributions are calculated without taking into account the employer 3% contribution to the workplace pension. Can anybody advise what setting should be changed to ensure we get this deduction? Thanks

Overpaid an employee due to an 'additional hours' admin error. I have a few questions:- I have resubmitted the last 4 months payrolls to submit the correct FPS amounts. I can now see that the employee owes us the 'Actual paid net amount' - 'Correct net amount'. But they also are owed tax and NI that they have overpaid, am I able to reclaim this back from HMRC on the employees behalf or does the employee have to wait until after the new tax year? And would HMRC pay this back automatically or does the employee have to request this?- We expect for the employee to pay this back monthly, so when it comes to doing the payroll for next month do I deduct the monthly amount before tax or after tax? Any help is much appreciated,

Hi, Can anyone confirm if you're able to import additional nominals into the chart of accounts? I don't want to import them if it overwrites the accounts already there - just in case!I've got 42 codes to set up so I could do with being able to upload rather than set them up manually. They're only set up with account names, no nominal codes are there.Thanks,Lindsey
For an invoice transaction type in Transaction Report, in the account column, there is "Uncategorised Income", and in the Split column, "Debtors". Does Quickbooks credit the first and debit Debtors? Does it mean that when I review the bank transaction, I need to categorised it as Debtors? And how to change from Uncategorised Income to Sales?
Hi everyone, hoping you can help me with this: We currently have 4 active projects and every month I create a journal entry to transfer funds from these projects to an 'Operations' project for management hours, OH&P and insurance. Operations, isn't really a project, it's our ongoing operating expenses to which we bill each of the projects for. This solution works, but doesn't feel like the best way to do this. Should I set up a Chart of Accounts for Operations? I have also seen it before where Operations is treated as a completely separate entity / company but I don't want to create more admin by having to physically send each project a monthly invoice when it is just an internal transfer. Everything is managed out of the same bank account. Thanks!
I have create an estimate template where I want to offer discounts on certain items and not on others. I want this to be a percentage discount. I have created a discount item and added it below the items I want to discount and then subtotal after. All well and good but I cannot make the discount to be a percentage just an amount. I want the discount item to calculate the percentage discount for all the items I want to discount not have to calculate it and add the amount. Can anyone helpp
We recently had some assets donated to us from another company (some laptops and a phone) What is the best way to record these assets in QBO? I have followed the instructions for in-kind donations, and the value is correctly appearing in the 'Computer equipment additions at cost' ledger, but the donations are also marked as income on the P+L sheet, but not then as expenses. This causes our p/l figure to seemingly be inflated?
how do I set up my corporate credit card to my quickbooks?
Unlike Sage, QB, I believe, does NOT alert you if you make a mistake and post an invoice/bill etc etc with a date outside of the tax year you are in. This really is a vital alert that I feel QB should prompt the user with. Has anyone else encountered this problem and made QB aware of this really important change that needs to be made to their programme?
August was showing £0 on the statement itself though still listed the transactions (invoices) o it. then same again for sept and Oct 23
Hi,Im hoping someone here can help me with a problem I have been having for some time.When I click on the option to view my previous tax years invoices and expenses a ton of my data is missing.if I log out and log back in it will then show a different selection of missing data.I have enclosed a screenshot to highlight the problem.So far Quickbooks have been unable to solve the problem for me and my accountant cannot submit my tax return as its not showing a full year of invoices and expenses.
