the bank - QB link expired and now trying to do an OCt 23 bank recon, but transactions not showing so added manually - sales on QB bank recon but not expenses. what can i do?
HiIm seeking some assistance, i have been using QB for a few years now with no issues uploading manual bank statements. Now I am having an issue, after uploading the balances on QB online dont correspond with the bank statement they are totally different numbers.Has anyone else had this issue and know what the corrective action was.
Can not connect my banks to quick books
This is a convenience issue more than anything. If you're going through transactions that have been made via Google Pay then the transaction field will always say "Google", and all the useful information that will allow you to categorise it is in the bank description field, which you have to expand with an extra click. This seems an inefficient way to list transactions as you're constantly having to expand transactions to see what they are. Is it possible to have the transaction list display the bank description field without needing to expand the transactions first?
Hi, Can anyone tell me how I can find out the date an invoice was marked as paid in Quickbooks Self Employed? Can't see it anywhere. Hoping I'm just not looking hard enough and it is actually possible to find out. Thanks!
Hi Can anyone tell me if its possible to change the default category the system selects when adding Receipts/ Invoices that have been emailed into the system ? For example Quickbooks is currently automatically selecting " construction in progress " when the Category we want it to be is something else ? This would help us speed up entering supplier invoices as we wouldnt need to change it everytime ? Thanks in advance
I have asked this question to the VAT specialist and I received the answer below which conflicts with QB guidelines. Please see below;’You raise a very valid query and guidance is very conflicting of this point. HMRC's own guidance does not refer to the value of purchases from non-VAT registered suppliers needing to be excluded from the Box 7 total so I would indeed agree that these supplies should be included.
Really annoying that on searching in products & Services that it will only search by in order rather than by "contains" does anybody know where to change search criteria. Eg if searching for a Ford part and i know its a gasket but somebody has inputted as Ford Head gasket then i have to look through 800 Ford items to find Ford gasket head. Wheras if the search criteria could be changed to "contains" then i could put in ford gasket and QB would probably show about 12 items. Thanks in advance.
Hi There I have run our payroll by QB Advanced Payroll and then paid the wages to my employees by BACS. After that, in QB Transactions, I categorised the wages expenses as Wages and Salaries. However, in Profit and Loss report, the wages expenses are duplicated. One expense is from my bank statement (QB Transactions) and a duplicate one that is created automatically by QA Advanced Payroll. I wonder if someone can help me to fix the above problem?
A customer deliberately overpaid us - they are happy for the rest to be kept to apply to future invoices - and I don't know what to do with the bank transaction in the "for review" tab, nor how to apply some of the payment to the outstanding invoice. With other incoming transactions from the linked bank account I've been able to match them to invoices, but that isn't an option for me now, I don't really understand why not. Ideally I would like to be able to allocate some of this payment to the outstanding invoice, and leave the balance as a credit on the customer's account ready to apply for future invoices. How can I achieve any of this?
Link to bank now working for last 90 days but previously reconciled to 11th August 2022 so big gap. Can this be done for dates in between please. Been ill so not been able to use for some time. Thank you

Hello, We are a firm of accountants and, as master admin, we receive emails when a clients bank connections needs to be reconfirmed. The problem with these emails is they do not tell us which client. When a connection completely expires we can view a handy list but this does not appear to be the same for bank accounts that just need their connection to be reconfirmed. Is there any way we can view which clients have bank accounts that need reconfirming? Thank you in advance, Al
