if the tier 2 team remove exceptions on vat return, is it just amount adjustments or willthey be totally gone?
Hello! I've been dilly-dallying over this and need some advice, please. I have managed to export my Wave data as a csv file - however this is an all transaction list (including double entries for credits/debits etc). I can see that if you have tidy lists of invoices or your charts of accounts, these can be swifty imported using Quickbooks itself, but that isn't the data that I have managed to pull out (I don't need Customer lists or Vendors etc - they are very few) So - do I try and import my data, or is there a better way of just moving everything over to Quickbooks? HELP! Thanks :)
Hi, I'm new ro QB and only have access to a tablet. I'm a self employed carpenter on new build, I'm VAT registered but new build is zero rated. I get paid weekly, can I manually input 5he payments made to me? CIS has been activated on my account as has VAT. Ideally I'd like to manually input payment made to me, along with receipt amounts to claim VAT owed.

I recently had to upgrade my PC unexpectedly and have reinstalled QuickBooks Desktop 2021 (with the kind help from the support agents who told me how to perform the offline registration). I am now trying to set up the MTD setting to allow me to file my VAT, but I keep getting a connection error when I try to 'Connect to HMRC'. I guess this is all part of the same problem relating to the absense of Internet Explorer. Please can somebody let me know how I can do this?
Every time I create an invoice it comes up as paid even before I send it
Hi I am having the same problem we had the other month where when you say raise an invoice normally when you start typing the customer it brings the correct one up without typing the whole thing and you can just tab across. Also when I put a product/service code it it normally predicts what I am putting in and i can just tab across. It seems to have gone back to me having to type in the whole customer name and the whole product code and then clicking on drop down options and then clicking to next cell. It is taking me ages to raise invoices as I can have 20 lines on an invoice and raise 10 invoices a day. Why is this not working again? Thank you
HiWhen I create a new invoice for a customer who has registered for CIS, this automatically appears under 'Activity' and 'description' on the invoice.This is great, but if I try to create the invoice from the original estimate or quotation, I have to input the CIS manually. Is there a way round this?Is there a way to get CIS automatically inputted at quote/estimate stage? Thanks in advance!
A client has paid an invoice with two separate transactions (two weeks apart).I marked the invoice as paid thinking I could then match the bank transactions to the paid invoice, but this does not seem possible. How do I match the invoice to the two transactions please?
Hi, Having used Desktop for 20 years, we have reluctantly moved to Online. I need to add a logo to our Purchase Orders and get rid of the 'approved by and date' at the bottom. It would be nice (essential really) to be able to customise it the same way we can customise Invoices. Any ideas? Thanks.
I have a client who uses this report, and finds it difficult to reconcile to the invoices. The customer and amount are given but not the invoice number. TIA

After recently transitioning to QuickBooks Online Advanced, like many other business from reading the online forums, we are shocked and fustrated that we are unable to properly customise many forms generated by QBs to send to our customers/suppliers. And just like many other businesses, we need to include very specific information on our different forms that the Custom Form Styles tool just doesn't allow for. The missing information aside, we feel that the forms do not look as professional as they could and should. Going from QuickBooks Desktop to Online has felt like a downgrade in this respect due to the lack of customiseability of the forms. So I thought I would ask the community what everyone has done as an alternative. Any apps you have come across that integrate nicely into QuickBooks Online? Anyother packages you use in your business to convert the QB generated forms into custom form templates automatically? Other than having to re-write all entered i

I've needed to re authenticate my banking connection with HSBC since November in order to import transactions. However, whenever I get to the stage of signing into my bank account, the green 'Sign In' button does not do anything when clicked. I have tried clearing my caches, tried using different browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox), tried going incognito. Nothing works! I spoke to a quickbooks assistant 3 months ago who said their engineers were looking into the issue - it was marked as resolved a month ago, but I still cannot reconnect my bank account. At my wits end - I do not want to begin a new banking connection as it will simply duplicate all the transactions I have already categorised! This must be a bug that needs fixing. Am I the only one? Any suggestions?

Hello, My transaction usually sync automatically from my Monzo bank account. However I have noticed that three months are missing in the middle of the year. I have tried exporting these months and importing them but it keeps saying there was an error. I note that it says that the import tool is for "older" transactions that the date of the automated sync - however these missing transactions are after I turned on the automated sync. Is there a way to import these three months manually?
