Evening everyone, I sent an invoice to a customer and being my first invoice with QB, the number was 1001. However, when I went back to QB to view this invoice, it was nowhere to be found! Instead QB were asking me to create my first invoice with the number 101. What has happened and how do I view my original invoice of 1001? Thank you.

Hi there community and Happy New Year! I've just setup Qbooks for MTD and it has all seemed to have connected correctly to my Government gateway. I was due to submit a VAT return this week with my new company which hasn't charged any VAT yet so it would be zero for now. Will QBooks let me know when I have to submit and deal with this current return? or do I now have to get in touch with HMRC to let them know I have setup QBooks for MTD or will they automatically know this already? I'm worried I'll get fined as I've just made the crossover. Basically do I need to email HMRC? Or am I going to be ok? First year doing all this and I'm a little naïve. Kind regards,Simon

When I check the 'disconnect this account on save' button and then 'save and close' I get the error message"Something's not quite right. There was a problem saving your changes. Please try again later." Similarly if I try to make the account inactive (it is about to be closed) I get the error message"There was a problem saving your changes. Please try again later." Any ideas anyone? I need to de-link this account and then inactivate it, as it being closed at the bank.
HMRC requires goods bought from a UK supplier who is not VAT registered to be included in Box 7. What code allows this in Quickbooks? It's not right to call them zero rated and they are not No VAT or exempt.
When I look to do my end of month payment run I can pay the first bill and it shows all the payment fields e.g. payment date, select invoice and amount. But when I look to pay any more invoices then the bill payment window looses most of the data fields, so I have to log on and log off each time I pay a bill! Hope someone can help - I'm running Safari 16.2 OS. Thanks...
Ok, i have came across an issue and looking advice.I charge customers Commission, which i log in Quickbooks as Sales Receipts weekly per customer.The commission i charge is held in my online payment processor and i then pay my fee's/bills (platform costs&payment processing cost) out of it before the remainder of my commission is deposited into my account.I then select the transaction from banking feed and go to match it to my weekly sales receipts. My issue is, the payment that hits my account after fee's is less than some of the customer sales receipt so they do not appear in the list when i need to match the transactions.My process is:I receive a payment into my bank, go to match the sales receipts for the week, then i manually have to reconcile and input the bill i automatically paid out of the commission before it hit's my bank. This should balance the week, but as some of the customer sales receipts are larger than the amount that was actually received in my a

I have made a few partial payments towards our VAT account. These payments are showing in my bank feed but I need to match these to the VAT account to mark them as paid. Can someone advise on how I can do this accurately please? I should also note that one of the payments had a fee on it so it will be showing more that what is outstanding on the VAT account.
Hi I need some help please recording corporate tax due / liability and also corporate tax payments. I have the figures for my corporate tax 2021-2022 (Apr 2022 year end) that needs to be paid by end of this month (Jan 2023). I only started using QB in May 2022 so haven’t recorded any corporate tax for 2021-2022 (and don’t know how to do this). 1) How do I record in QB the corporate tax due for 2021-2022 in QB. I’ve never done this before so don’t know how to log it? Is it a retained asset / liability account etc. Please can someone give me step by step instructions how to record the corporate tax due?2) When I pay the corporation tax for 2021-2022 that I will be transferring to HMRC this month, how do I record / code the payment in QB?3) Finally, is the corporate tax 2021-2022 classed as an expense effecting my profits for this financial year? Eg. If I have made £10k profit for 2022-2023 so far when I pay the corporation

Hi, I have a custom build e-commerce and CRM system which contains all invoices and customer/client details. I use my system to generate invoices for digital advertising products. Is there a way to link my system to quickbooks so that both talk to each other? So that everything is synched. Here are some of the things I want to do. > I have nearly 5000 invoices I want to upload to quickbooks Going forward: - When i raise an invoice in my system it creates the same invoice in quickbooks automatically.- When I make changes such as marking invoices as paid on mine it changes the status on quickbooks as well, and visa versa. I understand that there is an excel/CSV upload function but I'm looking at something which is more automated and synched. Does anyone know of anything? Thanks Marc

I have an employee who opted out of our auto-enrollment pension, but who has now changed their mind and would like me to re-enroll them. How do I do this? Can I do it immediately (i.e. in payroll period after the opt out)? In the employees account I can see the details of the enrollment and opt-out process that I have processed, but how do I re-enroll them? There is a button 'Un-assign Pension' but I'm reluctant to touch this without guidance! (using Advanced Payroll)
