Hi, Is it possible to add different types of information in the Details section of the QBO bank reconciliation reports? For example, can we add the Category type field to give the reader more information? Thanks Dennis
My expenses were properly allocated to its right location, but its corresponding HST was not. why does it happen?
For expenses my computer i put 'Direct Debit' for Payment method but it still pops up as 'Cash' for Payment method on my phone. How do I fix this?
I am a Business Owner who expects to see 10 Year Financial Statements. Is this possible?
Hello, I have a customer that paid their invoices (the invoices were sent in CAD) in USD and sent to my USD Bank Account. How do I now match them and subsequently record the transfer I had to make back to my CAD bank account? Thanks in advance.
Last fiscal year we had set up a new item that was for the purposes of issuing credits to customers. The item was setup incorrectly as a Payment that went against an Other Current Asset account. After year end we discovered that there was an issue with these credits and corrected them through JE's- except now when we generate a customer statement, there is a credit balance showing in the Amount Due field, although there are no open items and nothing in the aging balances. Looking to address the credit memo issues without changes to the prior year but have not been able to find any work arounds other than to create new customer accounts and not use the old, incorrect ones.
To accept payments in different currency, QB offers a multi-currency tab that needs to be enabled first. I don't have that option present at all. What should I do to bill my customers in USD?
Is there difference between Inclusive of Tax and Exclusive of Tax when we record transactions? What is better to use for sales transactions and for expenses? Please explain how do I decide which one to use and why?
Cant edit employee file to add phone number is says "object not found: something you're trying to use has been inactive." its status says "active" beside his name. Also cant click EI exempt. Says "unable to save your tax setup", but doesn't give me a reason why.
hi! I'm trying to import open invoices from our qbd to our qbo, but after editing the csv and doing proper mapping, I keep getting the same "unknown error" message...and it lists every invoice, so no invoices are imported. I have imported open invoices before and the errors were explained so I could go and edit the csv, but it's not happening this time. I have all the required columns and the information for each customer is laid out exactly the way the other csv is (the one that worked). Anyone know why I suddenly can't import? Thank you!
In reports, under employee directory, customize reports i would like to be able to select an option to view the termination dates. How is this possible?
Before I started using QB online instead of QB desktop the main account and sub account were in balance, but not any longer. What to do? Merge? Inactivate sub account?
Working on an account, and see that job income transactions were put in as deposits without having actual invoices. The customer has provided me with the invoices, but the accounts have been reconciled. How do I attach the payments to the invoices without undoing the reconciliation in quickbooks desktop.
I click on sales ( on the left of the page) then all sales. the report doesn't open. the page remains white with no details.
Has anyone ever figured out a way to guess the growth of the QBW file? I called Intuit and they were not helpful. I was thinking that I could go by the number of transactions... so if they have 10,000 transactions in a month, that's 120,000 in a year, which would equate to "x" file size growth. The other option, if other Enterprise users would post their File Size and Total Targets from [F2] in Enterprise, maybe I could make a table and guesstimate something for my client. It seems that probably target value is the functioning measurement.
Hi,I am in Canada and wondering if the QBO Sales Taxes module can track Sales taxes outside Canada, i.e. in a US state. The problem I see is that it can do it but in CAD not in USD. is there a way to change the currency from CAD to USD in the Payable and Suspense accounts linked to the sales module when we create a custom agency and tax for that specific US state?
How do I set up a P&L category, such as R&D, Marketing and G&A and then assign expense categories beneath? I went to the Chart of Accounts and set up R&D as the name, but when I try to create a new expense, I don't see where I can choose R&D and Materials. For Example: R&D- Travel- Labor- Materials Marketing- Travel- Labor- Materials- Promo
