Good Afternoon QB Community, I operate a small boutique farm and winery in California. I've been using QB since my first business venture back in 1989. I just recently upgraded (I really hope I'm still going to feel that way moving forward) from QB2015 Desktop to QB Online. Still learning my way around, however I've hit on a situation that my QB advisor seemed unable to even conceptually grasp. I use a winery-centric POS system for sales. At the end of each day I get a compiled report of sales by line item and discounts (if any) applied. In QB2015 I could enter the entire day's sales as a single receipt. Here is how it would flow:1) each item with the quantity sold2) subtotal3) apply a pre-set discount4) continue to enter each item/quantity to which no discount would have applied (things like crv collected, or event tickets sold.If the end number in QB2015 was different from the POS report (usually the case, I have multiple different discounts), I would adjust the discount amount

I've recently started collecting PA sales tax. When I went to file my latest return, I discovered an issue with the Sales Tax Liability Report. (FYI, shipping is 'generally' taxable in PA). We had a sale in which the customer bought a taxable item and a non-taxable item. According to PA, the shipping for the order should be allocated between the taxable and exempt items. A simple example: Customer buys a bumper sticker (taxable) for $1, a shirt (tax-exempt) for $9, and pays $4 for shipping, for a total order of $14. In this example, $0.40 of shipping would be allocated to the taxable item ($1/$10 x $4), and the remaining shipping of $3.60 would be allocated to the tax-exempt item. QuickBooks correctly calculates the sales tax on the sale. The problem is the reporting. Assuming this is my only sale, I would expect that the Sales Tax Liability Report (STLR) would show the following:Gross Amount: $14.00Non Taxable Amount: $12.60 ($9.00 + $3.60)Taxable Amount:&nb
I have two restaurants, one company two locations. Can i keep them separate on one quickbooks account?
I would like to run a report for items sales purchased from a specific vendor and for a specific date range.I only want a report of item sales purchased by a certain vendor.
We do not have QB set up to accept payments. Payment Options are not even activated on QB and yet the "Pay Invoice" button continues to pop up on a handful of clients. Very frustrating as QB could not even get it to stop populating.
When QB pulls transactions from my bank account it shows many (but not all) paychecks with the wrong name. When I click on the check to see if I need to edit it, it takes me to the payroll list with all the correct information. When I brought this to the attention of the QuickBooks people they said to classify it to the right person's name and put it under wages. I am concerned that doing that will not keep accurate books as that does not account for taxes taken out. Has anyone else encountered this issue? And how have you fixed it or worked around it? I am tempted to disconnect my bank account and go manual.
I DON'T WANT THE NEWVIEW- WHAT CAN I DO?
When QB forced us to use the new invoice software it took away our ability to use the keyboard to toggle up and down line items. Certainly they wouldn't TAKE AWAY a feature from the old version that was so important? Not being able to use the up/down arrows on our keyboard has doubled the time it takes to do invoicing by forcing us to click each square with the mouse. Can we go back to the old version that had this feature? It's hard to believe QB would overlook such an important feature to use keyboard to navigate line items and call it an improvement. How can we get the "old" template back that allowed us to use our keyboard to navigate line items? Why did QB take away features? Our invoicing takes double if not triple the time it used to because of this madness. Does anyone at QB care? Please upvote this post if you are suffering the same issue.
Appears QB mobile if failing to load all company info on iPad? Uninstalled reinstalled several times. Will open but Quick actions are missing and options to view customers from left side tool menu missing?

But there is a memo/description in bank accounts side but in accounts payable side there is no description. what happened to that and how can I fix this?
If I have a digital invoice from a business expense, can I upload it somewhere and QB will then read it and create the expense
My client has asked for a list of expenses for a particular Tag. When I run the Transaction List by Tag Group report, the report shows Bills as a debit and Expenses as a credit. So the total of the expenses on the report is not correct. Is there a way to customise the report so that bills and expenses are added together to get the correct total?
It just started turning the options off by itself about 2 weeks ago. I cannot figure out what to do to get it back to normal
Although the customers payment cleared, it's still showing as in review on the unpaid invoice page.
This alert came up when processing payroll for one employee, on a separate day from the group processing: "Tax Correction currently inactive in your Chart of Accts". Why?
We have tried it on the app and on a laptop, no matter what code we put in it keeps saying it is wrong.
Hello, Is there a way to get a report for Project transactions that shows the service detail for costs? Every expense incurred for a project I set to a service that is tied to COGS. In QB desktop, I used to be able to get a report for my project and see the service detail. Now I only see one line for COGS. We have a small construction company and I need to see the specific charges, for example, roofing, siding, flooring, etc. I would love to see the "sub" detail on the project screen listed under COGS. Any help is greatly appreciated!
