Looking for best practice as a Non Profit to track and retain minimal information to protect privacy of the those we help. Currently I reference a client by Last Name in the Description field to assist in any reconciliation vs setting up each person as a Customer. This works well.
I am trying to print an unpaid bills report with the following:sort by due date - when I ask it to it just reverts to sorting by vendor nameOnly show the invoices, not a total for each vendor How do I do this?
On the Sales - Invoices screen, the Status column shows me how many days overdue all of my customer invoices are, as well as whether the Invoice has been "Sent" or "Viewed". I use this screen to scan the list and quickly identify client Invoices that might not have been viewed yet by the client, so that I can follow up with them another way for collections purposes. The problem is, many of the Invoices arbitrarily show a status of "Sent" when they have in fact already been viewed by the client (sometimes viewed as many as 10 times). Is this a bug in the system that it is not displaying the correct status of "Viewed" as it should for all viewed invoices? It shows the Viewed status for some, just not all viewed invoices. And please, before anyone suggests that I clear my cookies, etc, this error occurs just the same in Incognito mode - I've already tried this! Are other users having this issue? Is QBO aware of this malfunction/bug?Thanks!
Hello, I need some help. Last month, we updated our workers comp costs. Since then, workers comp/pacheck items have started showing up on the "unbilled costs by job" report. A picture of how it looks on the report is attached. I can't figure out how to get rid of them! When I open the items they take me to the employee's paycheck. Help!
I am a bookkeeper with multiple companies on QB Desktop for over 20 years. Quickbooks trying to force everyone into their online platform when they have not brought the online platform up to standards is absurd. I have researched QB Online various times through the years, and every time I still see the same complaints about it not having the features and capabilities of desktop, and what features it does have you are paying nickle and dime for each one. This year I couldn't even renew desktop without calling on the phone. Now the notice they will be selling no new desktop subscriptions. (Yes, you can still renew - for now.) Not to mention every single time I call customer service with a problem, they skip right over my problem and try to convince me to change platforms. Why would I change platforms when your customer service is horrific and your online platform has never been up to standards? I have spent my whole career working with QB. I will s
When the transactions download from the banks you can only categorize it directly into the account but won't let you categorize it with the item list for products and services, this is very frustrating because you have to create every transaction manually from the expense tab which does let you categorize the transaction with the item list. This is extremely important process for the estimates vs actuals report to work with the items. Please QB team add the option to select the item list from the bank transactions to make the process easier and productive.
Somehow I setup my Undeposited Funds Account with the detail type of "Other Current Asset". Thus, when I deposited checks into the Undeposited Funds account, the checks weren't showing up in the Bank Deposit window. When I try and edit the COA details to make the detail type Undeposited Funds, or if I try and create a new COA entry as an Undeposited Funds account, I recieve this error message : "Something’s not quite rightYou cannot change the detail type of an account to be Undeposited Funds or change an Undeposited Funds detail type account to be another detail type." How can I get around this?
I see that several people have posted of issues with negative amounts showing on purchase orders or on item receipts...for over a year...yet I don't see that QB/Intuit have ever addressed that they have fixed this issue. We are constantly having item receipts and bills that don't balance because the item receipts don't pull the correct amounts. We have a negative show as "On Purchase Order" yet the goods have been received in. We are constantly having to rebuild our data, which often creates a new issue. Today, after our rebuild, we had an item receipt have a negative quantity, yet when we try to fix the item receipt to a positive number, QB thinks it is a negative number...but then will actually leave the negative number. So WHEN is Quickbooks actually going to fix these issues once and for all. They seem to have started with the 21 version and do not seem to be rectified after years!!
I'm new to quickbooks using quickbooks online. I have a specific client who i send a fixed invoice to each month. I would like to create the invoice and have it automatically emailed to them at X date. For the life of me I can't seem to figure out where this option is. I tried the "Send Later" check box but that didn't work.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have some unpaid/noncollectable customer invoices, i wrote them off and credit the account for labor or parts purchased. I am a cash basis, can I zero out a negative AR balance? Do I need to?2023 will be the FINAL return for this company and books closed.
1) On Quickbooks Self Employed emailing receipts manually was working just fine with [email address removed]2) I was trying to get automatic (instead of manual) fowarding of receipts from email. I followed some instructions from the community that lead me to change to a customized email that ends in @qbodocs.com3) now receipts are not working on my quick books self employed that i use for tax view
Hello all, I need to record a non-cash charitable contribution. In other words we provide service to a church and we want to record the value of this service ($80) as charitable since we don't really bill them. Thanks in advance.
