QBDT Premier Plus Contractors Ed, 2024 (now)Last year (2022) was my first year using QBs for the business. There's a lot I didn't know (& still don't know).I'm processing new information every day. We have several Fixed Assets for the business. Last year (2022),we had 4 Fixed Assets, plus a group of 179 deductions. I did NOTHING with these FA in QBs, other than entering the purchases, because I didn't know how or that I should do anything else. They weren't even set up correctly... that I have since learned. However, QBs did the Accumulated Depreciation Gen Journal entries on it's own, on 12/31/22. (screen shot attached). 1) - Should I go in and correctly enter the purchases and the journal entries for those 2022 FAs? (there is no value left on those to depreciate any further). Or just leave them as they are now? How did QBs know to do this, if I have no FAM ? How did QBs

QBDT Pro+ 2023I haven't had any responses from the last few submissions ... I hope my questions are getting thru??? The COA where I am now is poorly designed ... some accts with #'s, some not, organizationally it's a bit whacky in that like accounts are not necessarily all grouped together, etc. So I want to rearrange the numbers into a logical sequence and give numbers to all active accounts. But as I begin I have some questions. Big Red Consulting ... are you online? Need your wisdom. ?? If an account is currently identified as a sub-account of another, can it be moved to become either an independent account or a sub-account of a different account? ?? Can there be multiple levels of sub-accounts? ?? I am used to calling things like AR and AP "Control Accounts, and having them restricted from use in everyday transactions other than Invoicing and Payment receipts in AR or Bills and Payments in AP. But I get no results talking about them when I do a
I would rather not spend countless hours downloading PDF copies of each 1099 individually and then manually emailing them to our independent contractors!
what are the boxes for under batch transactions?
Quickbooks online. There are more than this item so it is not a one off. Plus I want to show we received the full amount even though were not charged for all.
This is dangerous for businesses and shows a lack of integrity

When I pull a report such as Budget vs. Actuals, I see there's a way to add notes to the bottom of the report. But at another organization I remember QB reports that had notes that connected to a number in the actual report, so people reading the notes would know exactly what line was being referred to. ow do I add those footnote numbers in the report? Thanks.
Greetings, We'd like to add payment terms to our Estimates.I see from an old post (Feb 2020!) that this feature was requested by a few people some time back, but I don't believe it's been implemented yet. The solution reccomended there was to add a custom field, but maybe something changed cause I can't seem to follow those instructions. If I go to edit the form->content->header, to add a custom field, my only option is to be redirected to the "custom fields" menu. From there, I don't get the choice to add a custom field only to some of the sale forms, so if I create the field "payment terms" I have to have it and print it to invoices as well, which means on invoices I have both the normal "Terms" and my custom "payment terms" Any way around this? thanks thanks
I made a bank draft which I later returned to the bank next day and this transaction was recorded as 'counter cash deposit'. This showed as an uncategorized income in my Quickbooks online. At the time of reconciliation for that month, I wrongly accepted this 'counter cash deposit' as uncategorized income. Now it shows in my P&L statement. How do I safely remove this transaction so that it does not show in my P&L statement?.
Under Customers & Leads, I am selecting the drop down option for Statement. This will generate a statement for the selected date range and allow you to send it but there is not an option to change the format from pdf to excel.
I use QBDT Premier Plus Contractors' Edition 2022At the risk of repeating a question, I'm trying to get a clear solution to these questions:The purchase of a used business truck included:1) a $10,000 "loan" from me to my husband for the majority of the downpayment for the vehicle2) Hubby put $2,000 down, (for a total of $12,000 down).3) I want to set up the $10,000 as a liability account as hubby is repaying it monthly, from the business account . How would I record this in QBDT ?4) In addition, the Bill of Sale has the Extended Warranty amount and the GAP insurance, sales tax, fees, etc. which was all financed with the vehicle loan.. Should these other items be categorized in the check (expenses) as well, when I record the purchase of the vehicle? I have set up Fixed Asset VEHICLES, with a sub account for the vehicle (2015 Chevy Silverado) (with a sub acct for Accumulated Dep), as well as the Long Term Liability Acct for the purchase loan (principl
For some reason the chart of account number associated with the credit card doesnt show up in the drop down box. I don't want to link it and import entries to the wrong number. Why is it not showing up and what do I need to do to relink it? I see the COA in QBO.
Products need to be easily seen and tracked from several warehouses within QBO. Thanks in advance
I do daily sales receipts and a customer used a $50 gift certificate that was actually purchased before I started using quickbooks. Now it has been redeemed but dont know how to show it since the purchase was made prior to QBO
