Up until September my square deposits into QBO were coming through fine, categorizing my state income tax collected, tips and fees. Since September it is no longer categorizing my NC sales tax collected or tips? Square fees are coming in fine. Come someone tell me why this is happening? I need to file my quarterly sales tax and don't have the correct data in QBO to file this appropriately.Sandra
the action drop down menu doesn't offer deleting an invoice as an option anymore after update
Im looking for a pretty detailed solution to a simple situation. I have an employee that paid for a software subscriptoin for 1 month... can I get the steps to recording the entire thing including the reimbursement to the employee.. HOwever one question is how do we also make sure that the the expense is recorded under that vendor as well since I like to keep track of how much I spend with a vendor..Thanks
We are a service company. I have set up billable time with Timesheets. I can see the hourly costs of each employee on each project, but why doesn't this show up as COGS Labor in my P & L?
If there is a way to link a specific account to an invoice upon creation when no account is explicitly set, rather than using the default, please let me know.
Hi there) In QB online we have service date and invoice date. Is it possible to run PL report, where only the service date will be showed in Revenue section, not the invoice date.Where I can find that settings?
I have several customers with negative accounts receivable balances. I also have "Undeposited Funds" for some of these customers. How can I clear the two?

Hello - I'm working on QuickBooks 2019 for Mac (V18.0.14 R15) and no longer see the large "Paid" stamp on any of the invoices in my records. It's as if a recent update simply cleared everything off. No fine tuning done on my end. I'm at a complete loss...and it's a complete mess. Any advice please?
How can I run a report that shows item usage across multiple assemblies? For instance, I have a part that is used in multiple assemblies. I'd like to generate a report that shows how many of this specific item is used in all of my various assemblies, year over year.
We use QuickBooks online to invoice customers and FedEx Ship Manager to ship to customers. We would like to find a CRM database software that ideally links to both of these systems. Does anyone know of a CRM software with this capability?
Our company relies on manually entering invoice numbers in an incremental pattern, however we have found it difficult to regulate this, as QB Online allows for duplicate invoice numbers to be used. How can this be turned off? We personally have no clue as to why this would ever even be enabled in the first place. Thanks,Matt
Our company just sold a vehicle for $6,000. The ledger on the chart of accounts shows we bought the vehicle back in 2014 for $32,398.72. I don't show any record of tracking the depreciation of the vehicle either. The bottom of the ledger shows a negative balance of $892, which doesn't make sense to me. How do I record this deposit and sell the asset in Quickbooks properly?
Recently condensed a large company file and when we try to use the collection center to perform group email on past due invoices does not work. There is an exclamation point on it and when you click it says building the file could take a while and never does anything. Any suggestions are appreciated. One other thing is I don't see collection center for all users with permissions. Company preferences had collection center enabled.

Hello, I hope you're doing well, I am currently cleaning up the books for my client. He has used QBO since 2021 however the previous accounting agency only connected some of his savings/checking/CC accounts. When I onboarded my client I had to relink his accounts after 4-5 months of being disconnected. However, his two checking accounts have a gap of no transactions from 5/1/24 to 7/31/24 - the bank statements are monthly. I have checked all transactions and registers for both accounts. Additionally, I ran reports for my uncategorized income accounts and expense suspense accounts; finding no transactions for this period. I reviewed the transactions for the following months, 8/1/24 to 9/31/24 and QB has inputted those transactions. I don't mind manually inputting transactions for those months, but I want to ensure this issue won't happen again. Thank you
In our case, a bill is paid in advance if the bill date and due date in Commonsku are the same.
Looks like there has been a report overhaul. How can I see P&L YOY comparison including % of income? Or even a multi-year comparison? Using QB online.
Hello Everyone, Here I am asking question again. I'm dealing with a Spa business and just wondering what's the proper category I should put the candles to? This is the first time I'm seeing a transaction spent on a candle. Is it going to COGS or to Office Expense? Your help will be very much appreciated.
