id like quick books online to give me a automatic expense or ref number) for every receipt or expense i enter for example my old system would tell me the each expenses number such as exp001, exp002 , and so on we then wrote on the receipt the same code to match them up paper and online.this also helped to limit duplicates as the receipt would have a expence number written on it therefore wouldnt be entered twice. unlike now i have no way of telling if i have allready entered a expence or not without manually checking 1st.
Hello i think I have did something potentially silly, not being an accountant and being fairly new to it all when I set up my inventory all items has a sale price and a cost entered. Recently I removed the “cost” figures as I had to up date them all, as the manufacture cost increase i thought this field was just for my own benefit but turns out it isn’t, I went for approx 1 month with my stock asset account not changing in summary my stock asset account is down by approx £18k, and therefore my profits etc how best do I correct this? thank you
I have recently commenced as a sole trader in the UK and have set up UK version of Quickbooks Self Employed.I have injected funds to my business to get it up and running, for example selling my personal car and purchasing a van for the business.I am unsure where to show these initial injections to the business to get it up and running, i.e. effectively capital injections.can anyone assist please

When I enter an invoice the Qty column sometimes has a prepopulated "1" in it as I tab accross, so if my invoice has 3 as quantitiy it now reads as "13" and I have to backspace to correct it, this seems to happen randomly is really annoying, I have used two different computers at two different locations to check if it was the interent or computer keypad but no and it happens randomly. Contacted QB but no help / solution offered, I think its a bug in the programme but its affecting my pace of data entry and I'm looking for an alternative package!

Have payments for an invoice showing on one customer and invoice now on company account. How can I clear the invoice with the payments?
When you use the EZ Map field <billingaddress> on an invoice you get the customer address. When you use the EZ Map field <shippingaddress> you get the customer address preceded by the Customer Name on the first line then the Customer contact name on the second line. So, it would seem that the Customer Name and Contact Name must exist as separate EZ Map fields. If this is indeed the case then what are their field names as I would like to show them on invoices separate from the shipping address?
We have a multi LLC. We receive funds from jobs and after we pay back our expense accounts, we immediately disperse funds equally. I.E. $10,000 payment rec - $2,000 expenses = $8,000 profit. We already deposited $10k in the bank. Now we have to do the draws. 50/50. We do a payment to the owners and pay from the bank to the owner equity draw account. Since we are always paying from the draw, we always end up with negative equity. What would be the proper way to receive money from a client, reduce down to the profit, deposit to equity and then draw from equity to show contribution and draw? For now, we know that we will end up with a -0- balance equity but, in the future we may not take draws as often
This has been an ongoing issue for months, the only workaround solutions provided by your team are clumsy and unprofessional. Unfortunately, my employer has asked me to find an alternative software solution unless this is fixed as soon as possible. Please advise.
