On on QBO credit card, there are always dribbling charges called, "Purchases cash advance." What are they for?
Don't want them to go in as overtime.
I was able to put in all my expenses and revenue for 2020, but I can't transfer that data on the TurboTax. It is making me input that manually so what was the point of having QuickBooks?
I have taken over for several accountants that posted incorrectly. I have A/P aging dating back to 2003. There are many accounts that have zero balances, but they show up on my aging detail. I've read through the previous questions and tried a dummy bill (didn't work). I have some transactions that have general journal entries; how do I tie these together? I'm working on desktop pro 2019. I also have worked through all the credits available for the accounts except one, this vendor uses more than one A/P acct, can I transfer these to clean up the other A/P? Thank you in advance for your help.Lesa
The group report in Intuit was available after every payroll run. I would like to do the same in quickbooks. Is it possible?
How to transfer from online account to a Mac desktop
Worked OK last month.
My auditor wants me to "prove" that I am using the latest version of Quickbooks On-Line and to my knowledge there is not a place I can go within my Quickbooks On-Line account to see that I am. I have spent time chatting with the Quickbooks support and the best I can get from them is that if there is an update upon logging in you will be prompted to accept the update (I don't recall doing that ever). Also, that I can "see" the version I am using in the web browser right after I enter my user id/password and before I select my Company. So I could see c10/v1954.170 but that means nothing to me (or the auditor) because I have no idea what this means or what the latest on-line version is. Any advice on how to satisfy my auditors question? It feels like this question of "latest version" is meaningful when using a desktop version of accounting software, but doesn't translate to on-line/cloud based software. Thanks!
Just purchased the payroll for QB and I'm setting things up. Three payroll checks were paid, 1/31/2021, 2/28/2021 and 03/31/2021 this year.

Does QBO provide a list of detail types? Or does anyone know how to skip them when doing an imported .csv? In the help article, it says "Tip: If you’re new to types and detail types in QuickBooks, it’s OK to leave these fields blank for now. You can add them later." Not true, at least not that I've been able to figure out. When I try to import my chart of accounts, every single one of my accounts has an angry red box around the Detail Type field. I don't like being forced to manually select from a drop-down menu to select a detail type for every single one of my 200+ accounts. Would be much easier if I could do this within in the spreadsheet prior to import. Thanks for any hacks or workarounds. I would be more than happy to skip detail types altogether, but the upload page won't let me.
In the CSV file, should these amounts have been listed as negative numbers?
I have attempted to delete the original deposited funds and add a new one in case it is a syncing error. I have tried to delete the invoice, create a new one, and re-link the deposit containing the payment but the Payment transaction type still appears on the A/R aging list as a Payment in a negative number.
