What changed in the Chart of Accounts? I used to be able to have it in detail type and number order; now, it's in detail type and name order. I want it in detail type and number order. How do I get it back?
I am about to start filing my taxes today and I saw that Intuit is promoting Solopreneur Online that has better turbo tax exporting support. So I did the upgrade.And I was asked to enter firm info, and it showed me a dashboard that only contains data from the last 12 months, without any receipts I attached to. All other data including receipts scanned are lost. This is a huge breach of my trust and waste much of my time. Please esculate this to your leadership and engineering team. Thank you,Sabi
I am having issues logging into my company file. When I open QuickBooks it has a pop up that says: Before you open your current version of QuickBooks The latest version of QuickBooks is installed and your data is converted and ready to go. You can launch the latest version of QuickBooks from the icon on your desktop. Any changes you make in your current version of QuickBooks will not be automatically updated into the latest version of QuickBooks. Do you still want to work in your current version of QuickBooks? When I try logging in to my company file, it says: The company file has been upgraded to the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop. To access the company file, contact your system admin to upgrade your QuickBooks to the latest version. When I go into QuickBooks under Help - Update QuickBooks Desktop - Update Now, I have everything updated. See attachments for this issue. I don't understand why this isn't working even though I have the latest update.

I use HouseCall Pro to operate my business, which connects to QBO. I am finding 7 specific items on my items list that are coming through as Sales of Product Income on my P&L that should be either Labor Expense or Materials (GOGS). I suspect the problem to be that. QBO reports the description of an item rather than the parent category, and when I create an estimate and modify the description, when it pushes through to QBO, QBO does not recognize that description and throws it into SOPI instead.Now I am trying to clean this up. HouseCall has an option that I can change the category and that should push through to QBO. To further complicate matters, HouseCall is showing TWO Labor Charge options. How do I go into QBO to locate which one I should use, and eliminate the other one? Thank you so much in advance for your expertise and help.
I am trying to migrate my data from QuickBooks Online back to QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2021 and I keep getting an error using the migration tool. I'm able to open the migration file within the migration tool but as soon as the tool starts the migration it creates the new business file but then fails with the attached error "Internal error: Unknown Exception". When I switched to the online the sales guy assured me I would be able to switch back to the desktop version if we decided to do so and now he's not answering my emails. I just need my data back in the desktop version, this is not brain surgery but Intuit seems to make it very difficult.... I'm guessing they don't want people to go back to desktop. I'll end up taking my business elsewhere if I can't get this solved.
My partner purchased Quickbooks Pro 2013 way back when, and we have been using the POS feature on our PC which is connected to the cash drawer and such ever since in our shop. It crashed two days ago and we can't find the installation disc or the box with the license/registration key in it. Is it possible for Intuit to use his info to look up the initial registration and give him the license/key from so long ago, so we can download and reinstall it?
Hello,I’ve requested a change to our primary admin/contact at least four times, and have received confirmation that the change was made. However, when I contacted support today, they refused to assist me and insisted on speaking only with the primary admin.I am the primary admin.Why is it necessary to speak with the primary admin to resolve an issue that’s system-related? I have never had to disclose confidential information in the past, and most fixes are simply downloaded.Is it standard procedure for the customer support chat to ask if they've resolved the issue and then end the conversation immediately without giving me a chance to respond?I would appreciate clarification on these points.Thank you,
Intuit will not credit us for the account we haven't used in two years but has been billed by them. They have charged $4681.48 in Sept of 2023 and $6171.93 in Sept of 2024 for QB Enterprise and ALSO $1449 in March of 2023 and $1599 in March of 2024 for QuickBooks plus. Somebody didn't do their job when we upgraded to Enterprise and now we are paying for it with no chance of a refund. I spoke to one guy who promised me over a $3k refund on 1/21/25 but that didn't happen. All we got was a small refund for $613.68. Called again today and was told "Sorry we can't refund you for a product that wasn't cancelled and we can't tell if it was used." I was sent a link to try and get a refund but when I enter the date and amount of the charge (which is shown under my account) I get a message saying "We can't find that charge" This is such BS. Is there someplace I can actually send an email to the billing department to find some help without having to

I recently took over management of our QBO account and there were a handful of things from 2024 needing fixing. I believe 11 bank transactions were confirmed instead of matched to the corresponding entry. It looks like maybe this created a fake QB entry to match the bank transaction to, which left the actual QB entry used to print the check in limbo. So I had to unmatch the fake QB entries, then unreconcile them (change R to blank in the Bank Register) so I could find the actual QB entry in the "Find other matches" list. Now these 11 fake entries show up in the Reconciliation Discrepancy Report. I tried to just delete a fake entry and now that one shows up in the Reconciliation Discrepancy Report, getting me nowhere. There are also instances where I voided checks that were reconciled because they were printed in error and were not deposited. Then one other instance where the last person voided a reconciled check that did end up getting deposited later on and is matched. For t
Starting some time in the last month or two, the export of data available at the "/app/exportdata" URL in Quickbooks Online is broken. The export appears to succeed but no longer includes a full history of transactions or other records, making it useless as a full export or backup of our data. I noticed this because the backup files being generated were significantly smaller in filesize than in the past, and I confirmed it by going to the beginning of the transaction journal and observing missing transactions. I contacted Quickbooks support about this several weeks ago and they opened case 15129174575 but have not provided any updates, and the export is still broken as of today. I thought I'd note this for anyone else relying on those exports a part of your data preservation/backup strategy, so you can consider making other arrangements.
I already have an account with QBO from using its free 30 day trial 2 years ago. I still have access to this QBO. How do I erase all my previous financial data on it like general ledger, invoices, trial balance, payments, etc?
