Good morning,I am taking over the books for our non profit. We have had 7 tresurers in 9 years, each doing it how they thought was right.... non with any formal book keeping experience. So here is my question. I cant "deleate " any of the chart categories. So my next idea is to change the numbering of "60000 Bobs conference " to "100000 " and do the same for the 60000 to 680000 COA to the 100000 COA. Thus maintaining the entrys of the past treasures . Then Use the "60000 " to build the COA corectly going forward.... Do you think this will work? Is there a better way?Second question, why cant I post to quickbooks online forums unless in incognito ???? Frustrating.ThanksTim

I've tried to read all the equity account and retained earning questions. But nothing seems to be exactly my situation. I have a copy that owns other companies (LLCs). My participation in those companies varies. I've modeled these companies in QB Pro with "Other Asset" accounts. Each company has these types of accounts: Equity in Sub-Company A Company A Contributions Company A Distributions Company A Retained Earnings I receive random distributions from these sub-companies and a yearly K-1. I'm using these accounts to keep track of my capital account in each of these sub-companies. The contribution/distribution accounts are straight forward. But when I receive my K-1 for these sub-companies, the "Current year increase (decrease)" line doesn't always match box 1 (ordinary income). That's because the current year change value is income offset by expenses. But the expenses are not something my co
My profit and loss statement is printing with title, date, and separation lines, but no info, as if a privacy setting is turned on. This has never happened before. Is the problem my printer or QuickBooks?
In Excel, the format of the report matches the report online. All the categories and classes are there, and the format is the same, it's just that instead of my values, there are zeros.

Hi there, I need your help. We are attempting to sign up for QuickBooks Online US Version because we have a new company based in the US. We have an American phone number, but we are encountering difficulties setting up an account in QuickBooks Online US Version using it, as we have been unable to receive a verification code despite multiple attempts. Can we use a German phone number to sign up for QuickBooks Online US Version instead of my US phone number? By the way, we are not currently residing in the US. Also, just wanna ask if it's really required to have an American phone number when signing up to Quickbooks Online Version? Can you please help me resolve this. Thank you very much
We need real time project overview so we choose the Hourly Costs for the employee expenses. However, even though we choose that, after running the payroll, we also see the Direct Labor in the overview. It is now making the report double in labor cost.
