I need to put customer receipts from the Banking feed onto the customer account without allocating it against an invoice. It will in the future be allocated against specific invoices, however, I don't yet have the information as to which invoices the receipts relate to so want to add as an unallocated credit on the customer's account. Any ideas how to do this?
All of a sudden 24 hours ago I started getting "Something unexpected happened and we couldn't connect to your bank" and now Quickbooks Self - Employed cant connect to my Santander Bank. I have changed nothing. "Fix your connection"
I'm trying to upload bank transactions manually through a csv. file but it keeps saying "invalid file format". Any thoughts? Thank you!
Coutts tell me it is not possible to download transactions automatically - only by .csv. Yet Quickbooks tries to connect but then asks for a code - whereas I log in to Coutts with a password. Is there a way round this?
The owner of the S-corp company took out a line of credit. The money was deposited into our company bank account, then transferred to his personal bank account. He wants to start making payments back to the bank for the loan. How do I set up this type of loan?
TSB Bank have changed there business account web site is there way to change it without removing bank account and re instlling a new bank account ?
Hi,We are a small charity - with approximately 100 small donations coming into a bank account every month. At the moment, we pull the transactions in from the bank and then code them. They are allocated to one GL code but we have to put 88% of the income to one class and 12% to another class.As far as I can tell at the moment, I have to do that manually. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to make this more automated? I did think that I should just allocate them all to one class each month and then at the end of the month do a journal for the 12% but I wondered if there was another way.ThanksAmanda
Since the misfortune of the TSB upgrade system, there's no feed. Anyone got a response to know if this is something that they will fix, or is it gone forever?

My bank account was reconciled last month but now it has a discrepancy. The report has to Deleted transactions displayed - how do i get rid of these? they are right to be deleted so i just need them to go off the report

Hi Not sure how to process this transction. We got a refund for our card processing company of £636.33 Our banking shows we spent £636.33 one day we did 2 refunds and took payment for two invoices. refund 1 £217.24refund 2 £641.33 Payment 1 £117.00Payment 2 £105.35 Total -£636.33 When i go into banking and try to match up the £636.33. It will only show up the refunds and not the payement for invoice. Any ideas how i can match up all 4 transctionto i clear my banking?
Before connecting to the bank, I will manually upload more than 90 days of bank transactions using a qfx file from BofA (i.e. back to 1/1/17 from today). After the upload is QBO smart enough to know that I already have transactions there from the qfx upload and will not duplicate once I connect the bank for future update refreshes into QBO? Or, will it definately duplicate the 90 days and I'll have to figure out how to exclude them somehow? It was my understanding that if the file was qfx for a manual upload then QBO, once connected for pulling in bank transactions, would treat them as already in QBO and not dupicate those dates? Is that an accurate understanding?
Forgotten how to perform bank reconciliation after downloading bank statement into quickbooks. Any suggestion please
Hi, I had some trouble with the banking reconciliation page, I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the linked bank account and now there are two entries on the banking page for every transaction in the actual bank, ie there are duplicates. I obviously want to reconcile the bank but have 350 or so duplicates which is throwing teh bank out considerably. Any suggestions? Thanks.
I've tried to connect my bank account and I keep getting the "We encountered an error connecting your accounts. Please try again later" message. At first, it was going through and getting to my security questions and when I entered the answer it would say, "That's not quite right", but I know it was because I printed off the answers to each question. It actually asked me all three of my security questions and then finally went to the statement that I posted originally. HELP!

I have imported transactions via my online banking which I have linked to QB online. I have used sage in the past but this is my first time using QB.The problem I have is that the opening balance shown when I go to reconcile the bank account does not relate to the opening balance on my bank statement. When I downloaded it I stated the last 30 days in the criteria as this was the closest to the option of my start date of the partnership company we now have.Really just want to run and reconcile from the new financial year (6th April) but doesn;t seem that easy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Banking will not update throws me back to different errors each time 105/107/106 etceither signed in to another devicebanks down for maintenance etc I even opened it in a private browser cleared cache etc still nothing.so i disconnected hoping it would solve it made it worse! Now i have been trying to reconnect the account for 2days still no avail.It throws me back to your logged in on another device which i am certainly not.The natwest bank is down for maintenance ive called the bank it is not. I need to access and update this account everyday this a nightmare,maybe i need to find another provider for this service as this is getting ridiculous it has not been updated for 5 days now.
You may occasionally receive an error when you try to update and download your bank transactions into QuickBooks Online. When this happens, we advise our customers to try the steps below in the order listed, you may only need to follow one or two of them to resolve the issue, but some issues may need you to try all of them. The first thing we want to try is running a manual update on your bank account. 1. Select Banking from the left menu. 2. Select the account you want to update, then click on the Update button in the upper right-hand corner. 3. HSBC have written to us to inform that they have changed our sort code for our euro account. It has not changed the bank account on paper, but has obviusly broken the original connection. Since this happened last month the bank download has not worked. I do I go about reconnecting?
Hi, Usually Quickbooks works very well for me but I am currently having an issue with QB connecting to my RBS Business Account to pull through Balance information and transaction information. I'm getting error "163" and it's been like this for a few days. My accountant tells me its a known issue with RBS accounts. Is anyone else having a similar problem with connecting to an RBS account? And does anyone have any information about when it will be fixed?Thanks.
Hi, - I started using Quickbooks Online at the start of this financial year- I imported my bank balance (hypothetical number: £100k) correctly- My VAT return period runs Feb / Mar / Apr- I need to submit a VAT return for that period- I've inputted an invoice and marked it as paid (hypotherical number: £1,000) and so that the VAT I'm paying in this quarter is accurate- My bank balance in Quickbooks is now out by (hypothetical number) £1,000- How do I correct this? Why has Quickbooks added that amount to my Quickbooks bank balance when it knows the balance was correct as of 01/04/18
Are there some obvious reasons for the bank balance reflecting a significantly lower balance than the quickbooks balance? Thanks in advance.
how do i disconnect bank feed, i have changed pass word so need to reset bank feed, and therefore disconnect old feed before starting process
