Hi... my QuickBooks Online checking account statement ends on the 9th of every month. Is there any way to change that to end on the last day of every month (like every other bank on the planet)?
On the Banking and Credit Cards page of Quickbooks Online, there is a button (with a bell icon) labeled: "Banking Alerts". Every time I log in (whether on the app or via chrome) the alert is "red" and says I have one "new" alert - but - it's the same alert from March 28, 2019 that reads: "We're working with Citizens Bank to fix your connection. You'll see an alert here as soon as there is an update." However, I have no issues updating from Citizens Bank and this alert won't go away. Please help.
Our non-profit purchases grocery and gas gift cards that we give away to clients who come through our doors. I'm thinking to track the balance of these, I can simply set them up as separate bank accounts? I'd deposit funds to those Grocery Card and Gas Card bank accounts when we purchase more and then write a "check" from those accounts when we give them out to clients. Does that sound correct? What's the best practice for a check number in this case when we're not actually writing a check? In the past I've used a check number format of MMMYYYY and been ok with duplicate check numbers in cases like this. Volunteers would be recording these deposits and disbursements so I want to make it as easy and straightforward as possible while keeping a consistent format.
We have thousands of checks with the same amount. I need to see the check number before I can check them off.
Hi,I already reconciled my savings account when I realized one of my transactions should have been broken down to have different GL's and charged expenses. Now that it's reconciled, I can't go back to break it down. Any suggestions? Do I restore the reversed charge and than split out all the transactions under that lump sum charge?
I have over 20 QBO accounts and over 50 American Express cards. About 1/2 of the cards stopped syncing with American Express at the end of October. This is an ongoing issue where QBO and American Express do not play well together. We need to get a mediator in there so that this stops happening. It is a nightmare to have to download and upload transactions from 20+ accounts every week. The error I see is : There's a problem with this account connection We’re having trouble getting your bank data. Please try again later. (355)" Please do not respond telling me how to download transactions manually, I know how to do that!
Migrated desk top data and all worked great. Two months later I decided to add the direct bank transactions. This created a new account. I now have the original account in my chart of account with sub accounts and my on line account.

These were all deposits. I went through the register; however, that procedure wasn't helpful as I could not find the deleted deposits. There are many deposits of the same amount (e.g., 21.95 77.45).
HI there folks,I need help with handling a tip with a credit card payment. When ever a client pays an invoice and adds a tip, why does Quickbooks consider it as an over payment or credit. What can I do inside Quickbooks for it to count it as a tip- which it should count as income and not a credit towards the customer's future payment. Thank you.
I'm clicking on the "Quick Books Export" icon in the Home Depot Pro site. I see the green spinning dots as if it's trying to access Quickbooks but nothing gets imported.
My credit card processing company collects their fee from the customer. If I have a total sale of $100.00 and run it through my terminal my customer ends up paying $104.00 (example).$100 for the sale and $4 for the fee. I have a receipt showing exactly that. The bank deposit shows a deposit of $104.00 and then the next day or so another transaction for the -$4.00, netting me my $100. How do I record this sale in Quickbooks Online correctly? I have tried several ways but nothing has proven solid.
I was adding bank detail and suddenly my bank register is not showing all my transactions, nor is it showing my balance. Instead it shows "Only displayed with date/reconciled item sort". I have made sure the filter is set to "All". I have signed off, given it some time and signed back on. I have looked for answers online, but nothing helps. I need to know how to fix this.
