I am reconciling my new credit card but already made a payment in full to the account before reconciliation. I am being asked at the end of reconciliation whether I want to write a check for the balance now, write a bill for later or leave the balance in the reconciliation account. Since I already paid the credit card I don't know what to do here.

I have a charge in my credit card account toward a vendor statement. Within that vendor statement are 9 bills and 1 credit memo. When I try to MATCH that credit card payment to the bills and credit memo, it brings in the bills but does not show the credit memo. Without matching with the credit memo, the total is off. How can I match to keep the credit card payment applied correctly?
I'm trying to categorize a credit card expense in the online banking, but keep getting an error message. The message doesn't stay on the screen long enough to read it, so I don't know what the problem is. Help???

I am using the price rule list for customers and items. The problem that I’m having is that there will be changes made to the price rule after I set it up and customers and items will be in the wrong price rules.I think someone is going in and accidentally adding customers to the price rules. My questions are:Is there a way to see changes to the price rules in an audit trail? Or anyway to figure out who and when they were changed?Is there anyway to lock the price rule so no one can edit it? Is there something in the user I can block access to?
Hi there, I'm new and still working on figuring things out. I'm looking for guidance on how I can reconcile expenses with credit card payments. As an example, I pay $xx.xx per month for my quickbooks subscription, and that is charged to my credit card, and I make the $xx.xx payment to Visa, how do I register this so it shows the expense and it's not just logged as a credit card payment on my books? I just set up my account tonight and imported all my credit card transactions from one card to get started. For this card, I get charged $11.90 for one thing every month, and that's all the transactions for the card. For some reason, QB is showing the current balance as $11.91. Where did this extra penny come from and how can I fix it? I want to understand what's going on before I import my other much more complicated bank and credit card accounts. Any ideas?
Our business uses Classes, which are set by Bank Rules for all transactions. However, the journal entries matched to our Channel-related bank account transactions all have blank Classes, and this results in Amazon and eBay income being listed as "Not Specified" on the Profit and Loss by Class report instead of under the correct class. Classes can be added manually to the Channel journal entries, but how can they be set automatically, or a default Class established for these entries?
I noticed when reconciling my bank statement that there were some transactions that should have cleared/reconciled already. Upon investigating, I noticed when they were originally categorized, they were categorized wrong. I Undid the categorization and then I was able to match to the correct transaction. This in turn seem to now have deleted the transaction. I did not delete anything just re categorized. Now it is throwing prior bank rec's off. How do I fix this? If I undo/redo the prior bank rec will that fix the issue? The correct transactions are showing cleared in the bank register but just not reconciled. I thought reconciling them through the bank register would fix it, but is seemed to make it worse. What am I missing?

I was looking at some staffing numbers the past couple of months so I went ahead and update the payroll settings so that the employees are in the right spots (doctors vs staff) and the accounts are consistent again instead of having duplicates. I am having trouble updating all of the previous transactions though. It lets me go back to Sept 1st, however, when trying to go any further back it says too many transactions. It says to change the start and end date, however, I can only adjust the start date with no option to adjust end date.
