My client added two new credit cards to her Chase parent account. I added the sub accounts in QBO and asked her to link the account.When she attempted to link, she received an error message showing that all of the credit cards are connected (she sent me a screen shot which shows all accounts with the last 4 of their cards).I'm not getting any transactions from either of the two new cards - there are a few showing on the statement.How should I proceed?Thanks!
I made a credit card payment four months ago from my checking account. The transaction appears in both account bank registers in QBO (same date, bank, amount, correct to/from accounts, and marked as credit card payments). It appeared and has been categorized in QBO's feed for the checking account, but it is nowhere to be found in the feed for the card account. I've checked for it under for review, categorized and excluded, to no avail. The checking register shows the payment marked as cleared and manually added from bank feeds; these fields are blank in the card register. I've followed steps from articles I found here re: locating missing transactions, but nothing's working. How can I get this transaction to appear in the card account feed so it can be categorized? I've been carrying the error differential for months and need to get it cleared. Thanks!
FED UP! I have had multiple issues depositing checks into my Quickbooks Checking account via the mobile deposit option. I have traditionally deposited checks this way and now, the option on the app is no longer there. I called Quickbooks to rectify, however, after connecting me with GreenDot and then getting turned over to several different departments, the BEST resolution (after 45 minutes on the phone) was that they'd open up an "investigation" and get back to me. This is not an isolated incident. I have had issues with mobile check deposit several times within a year with the same outcome. Why is there only ONE way to deposit checks? And when this option isn't available, why am I provided zero recourse to get around the issue? I run a small business that is reliant on depositing incoming checks on time. It's infuriating that I am not treated with priority and options to circumvent a QUICKBOOKS issue. I am left with making the decision on whether or not I need t

My beginning balance in December is $1M off from what it should be. When i click unreconcile to look at November beginning balance, this is off but by a different amount-$1.1M. I called QB. First, the people that answer the phones know nothing; they are messaging techs who then play telephone game to relay info - I cannot actually talk to a tech. Then i ask for supervisor, thinking as a supervisor they would have more knowledge but nope - they just takes feedback.Their solution - do a Journal entry to force balance to be correct!!! WHAT?!?!?! Any accountant knows that is against GAAP and that it will not help to do a JE if the bank recons are wrong for months at a time; i need to know WHY they are wrong and fix it and watch for it in the future. At least the near futuree becuase we are DUMPING QB ASAP!So i pulled audit report and those shows 2 items totally $2K so no help there. Is there an acutal accoutant or somepne with k
I have used QB's for years but this week has been the worse. Bank feeds won't download transactions, I have spent hours per day with 6 different agents with no results. Truliant Federal Credit Union per them have NO ISSUES, QB can't seem to find the issue? I even went to a level 2 agent who after awhile just disconnected and didn't call back even though he had my number. What is the issue and how to get this resolve is beyond me.
When I first connected the account it was working great, now for over a month it will not update and keeps givign me a Error code (105). I contacted Merrill and they said everything is working on their end and the fix is on QB's end. How can I go about fixing this? I've tried all of the troubleshooting fixes and none of them work
I can see that PNC chose to do a work around and forced me to set up a different account to my online banking portal to make it easier (instead of upgrading their technology). The work around is called account view. After going through the whole process on PNC's end, I try to link my new business card on Quickbooks. linking up an account through Account View (aka PNC's frugal work around) and it is an option on quickbooks to select Account View. However the log in for account view is not being accepted but it is accepting the PNC online banking log in. this tells me that Quickbooks code needs to be updated and needs to point to the actual Account view log in and not the PNC online banking log in. Who in quickbooks is listening and can get this bug fixed!!! I hate working with companies that cannot keep up with technology. I can't wait for AI to take over these inept organizations.
I added transactions and reconciled for all of 2024. I am now trying to go back and add transactions from 2023, but I can't figure out how to reconcile those transactions. Is it possible to do? If so what do I need to do?
We've been unable to receive updates from our Merrill Lynch account for the past week. Despite trying all available methods, we continue to encounter the following message: 'The Merrill site is down for maintenance, so we can’t connect to it right now. Check back in a few hours. (105).' However, we are able to log into our account directly on Merrill Lynch's website.We tried loh into OBO in private window and also tried to edit ML login information but alll failed, the error persists.
How do I download my bank transactions into Quickbooks desktop from a QIF file?
Is there a way to change the account names of subaccounts at a specific bank so that you can distinguish them when transferring money to and from QuickBooks checking? I have multiple subaccounts at a credit union and cannot tell them apart because of the long bank name in the software, either in QuickBooks online OR the app.
I'm using QB Desktop Premier Plus Cont edition 2024 on Win 11 Hi,I had a business trip. paid for hotel with business debit card. The hotel had also charged the card a depositand then returned the deposit after my stay . How do i record the deposit back into my account. Also, on the make deposit window the 2nd column says "from Account". From? how does that make sense? Lets say this deposit from the hotel is being entered , "From Account"?
I'm at my wits end with QBO. Intuit should be ashamed for their terrible customer service and ever more terrible program. That said, I have linked my company checking account, brought in every transaction (ensured every transaction it brought in was accounted for and accurate), and manually categorized each transaction (even the quickbook payment fees because this lousy program can't even manage to auto populate that correctly, what an absolute joke). After spending way too much time doing this, my bank balance (accurate) is $3,136.10 less than "In Quickbooks". I have one invoice of $5,252.52 that has not yet been deposited so this isn't the error. I have downloaded all the categorized transactions into an excel file and the total of all categorized transactions is equal to my bank balance. Am I taking crazy pills or is this just another QBO issue they can't be bothered to fix?
Hi there, We recently had to cancel an event and issued refunds (via Paypal) to a large group of customers that all paid via Paypal. When I look at a Paypal report from Paypal.com, it shows all of these transactions as "Withdrawals and Debits" and not as "Payments Sent." I was hoping that these transactions would appear in my Quickbooks Online Banking feed and then I could classify them as "Refunds Issued." Unfortunately, none of these transactions appear in my feed. I am not sure how I should be adding these to Quickbooks Online so that I can make sure to record the money going back to the customers (and the Paypal Fees charged). I've watched this video (https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/customer-refunds-and-credits/how-to-refund-customers-refund-receipts/00/344870) and it mentions the linked transactions should appear in my Paypal feed, but that isnt happening. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to know why my unapplied cash payment income has about 20K in there. Here is my situation: I collect a retainer from my clients for the services and post it to their account as credit. I create an invoice at a later date and apply the credit from my client as a payment and send the invoice to the client for the balance amount. I have been doing this for the last 4 years. I did not have a problem in QB desktop. But even though I apply the payment to the invoice and make sure it is matched to the right one, it still shows a lot of them as under unapplied cash payment income. I called QB support and they said they have to do something in the backend and waited for them to call back. But nothing happened. I got an email saying that they closed my case. I upgraded from QB 2019 to QB 2022 since 2019 wasn't going to be supported past May 2022. Soon after I did the upgrade I started having problems with company file corruptions (rebuild did no good) that led to a point where as soon as I started QB and logged in, the program immediately terminated. I was told my company file was corrupted so I sent it to data services for repair. They returned my "fixed" file but the file was missing quite a bit of data like social security numbers for my employeese and other important fields such as my bank feed information. I entered all the missing information and reconnected the bank feed to my bank accounts. Now the problem I'm having is that when I do a bank feed, the transactions downloaded from my bank (as old as two years) duplicate the transactions already in my check register that were downloaded before my company file was fixed. I am brand new to QB so hang in there with me.When I go into Banking, I see a bill come through. When I go to find match it doesn't show up, however; It is showing up in expenses under vendor as paid.We only send out ACH's and no checks.Why does this happen, and what steps should I take to fix it/prevent it from reoccurring?
I have 2 businesses in QBO and each one has a different Capital One credit card. When I download transactions in 1 account, it disconnects the Captial One card in the other. So when downloading, I always have to reconnect in one of my accounts. Is there a way around this? Is this a Capital One issue? It seems odd to not be able to download 2 different cards in 2 different QB accounts and have to reconnect every time. Thank you
