My client has a lot of duplicate transactions because they manually entered ones that were downloaded by the bank. So now I need to delete the duplicates and in some cases the downloaded ones of have a "cleared" status. The manual ones have a "reconciled" status. Can I just delete the cleared ones?
In the never ending saga of "how did this get worse" with QBO - Bank Transactions used to only show an unclassified transaction 'indicator' (with the number of transactions to classify) on an account when there were transactions to classify. After some recent update - this now shows an indicator and '0' under every synced account. This is a degradation in user experience requiring you to now look at that number on every account to be sure there are no transactions to classify. Is this a bug or just a sloppy implementation? Please make it make sense.

Hi, I am doing reconciliation for April, and bank statement shows transaction on 04/29 of $405 for tax payment, which is set up in QB to run automatically. But on reconciliation page that same transaction is showing on 05/02. I guess payment was withdrawn from bank on 04/29 but paid on 05/02 and QB is showing"Payment Date 05/02/2022 , E-Payment". And I don`t have option to make any changes on this. Now my reconciliation report has difference of $405 which I don`t know how to solve. Please help!
The new account I added as a contractor is from a personal checking versus a business checking. It is only pulling transactions from October. I need the entire 2024 to be pulled into the program

I followed the instructions on the app and the check pictures we clear and both front and back got check marks from the app, but then an error popped up and that said I couldn't deposit the check without any information as to why it would not deposit?
QB has also closed my account and the only excuse I have been given is that this is a "Business Decision" in their part. My funds are being held and I have to wait 3-4 days to hear back from an agent. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. QB can hold MY money? There has to be a way to report these people. D
I manage a small boutique that utilizes QuickBooks. The owner uses Square for her financial transactions that transfer straight to the bank. She uses a credit card to make purchases of merchandise for the store but also puts random store needs on the card as well. I book the merchandise to cost of goods sold when a payment is made to the cc but the catch is she only pays a lump sum on the card each month and not the whole balance. How do I book the random merchandise on the card when a lump sum payment is made vs an amount that includes an exact amount of paid charges?
I want my check number column to stay listed under my checking account. I know that I can this manually by clicking the gear icon and check no. but it I go to another account and come back it will be gone again. Is there a way for it stay listed?
Hello all, Our bank has been bought by another bank. How do I change our banks name in chart of accounts?or do I just stop using that bank and make a new one all together? not sure how this works for our tax stuff. Appreciate the help as we are new to this and are a small plumbing company who manages QB in house.
I'm using QB Mac desktop 2024 and have issues importing my QBO file from chase. It worked fine before and now it keeps giving the OL-222 error. This is sooooo frustrating because we literally just pay for the QBO importing feature and it doesn't work. I've read through every OL-222 post and couldn't find the solution.-I've disconnected and reconnected our chase bank.-I've rebuilt and verified the data. -I've opened and removed all "&" symbols from QBO file.-Theres no 2024 FILIST. I am using the latest version of QB 2024 as of today QuickBooks 23.1.4.668 R5Has QBO importing been disabled or something ?

QuickBooks does not link all my bank transactions. Does anybody have the same issue?
Sorry, It does not show up in the register. It will not allow me to edit or delete the checks received until I delete the deposit, but the deposit is not in the register
For example, Bank Balance=$10,000, In Quickbooks=$12,000. Also, there is checkmark on the Quickbooks line

A customer paid me nearly $70k. I have a Quickbooks email confirmation, but that money has not appeared in Quickbooks (that I can find) or into my bank account, and it's been 5 days. Can anyone advise me where to see it? Quickbooks holds on to your money...and charges too much for this service..then wants 1.75% to pay you your own money instantly. What a ripoff. Mark
how do i deposit a check > $10,000
The beginning balance of my bank statement is different from the one in QB. I generated a discrepancy report which said it was because I deleted a deposit. I see the deposit listed for that date in the customer center, but it's not in cash. I thought I would delete it all and renter. When I try to delete it in the Customer center I am told “You need to delete this payment from the deposit before deleting transaction” The problem is that the deposit is not in cash anymore. I just want to make my bank rec right. Please help.
