I migrated 13 years of data from Quickbooks desktop to online last month. I have filed & paid all payroll taxes all those years, yet QB online states that we have a payroll liability of approximately $54,000, or all the taxes since 2013. What can be done to make this go away?
I have added Sub-S health insurance to a corporate officer's pay. Where does this liability show up so that I can record the payment to the insurer? I recently migrated from QB desktop, and this always showed up in desktop under Employees: Create custom liability payments. Now I cannot find where QB online has put it.
I have added Sub-S health insurance to a corporate officer's pay, however, where does this liability show up? I need to record this payment to the Insurer. It was easy to find in quickbooks desktop, which I had used for 25 years, under 'create custom liability payments'.
I am trying to set up paid Holiday Time off, but I'm having a hard time getting it to set up the way I need. In my state, there is a tax that gets deducted based on the hours worked . These paid holiday hours will NOT be hours worked, there for shouldn't have this tax. My question is, is there a way I can stop this tax from being deducted? I tried setting it up as a vacation pay, but that obviously then deducted the hours from the employees vacation time. And when I set it up as an hourly wage, it automatically takes this tax out. When I edit that tax from the "Payroll item list" and go to the "taxable compensation" page, it will not allow me to unselect the Holiday Pay. Is there any other options? Or am I stuck just having to edit that tax on each and every payroll that receives this pay?
I've received acceptances from the SSA with our efiled W2s, but will I receive an acceptance after the state receives the W2 information?
I can put my tags in a group but it doesn't seem like I can put the group in a group, like categories and subcategories.

Hello,I have one employee who went over the Social Security maximum income for 2023. According to QuickBooks documentation, the system automatically sets the limit with payroll updates. I always run my payroll update at least once per month. Now I am running my W-2s for 2023 and have errors because this person is over the limit. How do I handle the overage? TYIA

One paycheck processed under PA income instead of NY income for last year which is incorrect. The employee only had NY income. How do I correct this for the W2/W3?
Can you help me with e-filing W-2s?
can I delete a state from payroll that is no longer needed?
I have collected new employee paperwork for 15+ years. I just saw this option and am struggling with not collecting paperwork and just letting the employee do this. Is there anything legally or any reason why I need to collect paperwork or can I now just let them enter the information themselves?
Hello,How can I go in and pay my employee for a last year's payroll? I transferred the money in the bank but forgot to enter the payroll in QB. Now that it's a new year, it won't let me. Help.
I have the employee deductions and employer contributions set up in QB but will QB send the deducted funds to the Simple IRA issuer? I have a salary reduction agreement that I was told to submit to my payroll provider but I don't see anywhere in QB to upload these forms or even set this up.
