Unable to change employee status
QBO keeps telling me the engineers are working on it. I use premium payroll. I don't want to do a journal entry which one agent suggested. Is there another way?

Hello! I'm need to run payroll in MN (where our company just moved from CO), however our company's primary location is set in CO. I would like to change that to MN, as we do not need to pay taxes for CO any longer. I need help switching the primary location to MN, as well as getting the proper tax information entered. cannot process payroll, employee profiles need updated before i can run payroll
Attempted to run client ready payroll reports in QB Desktop 2020. Only the first tab pulls up. No box to select reports or tabs, time period ext. Just the one tab with "Please Turn on Macros".
The moving expense reimbursement for tax year 2018 is showing up in box 1 and box 14 of my employee's W-2. Is this correct? If so, can you give me some documented support for that? I've looked all over the internet and can't find an answer. Thanks!
I just took over bookkeeping and payroll. The paid time off doesn't seem to be accruing or subtracting correctly and I'm trying to fix it. I think I figured out how to fix the accrual, but it still does not subtract the vacation days. I have been using the items called vacation which I assume should be subtracted as paid time off. Is there any way to check if they are indeed set up as paid time off? I have gone to the item list and it won't give me any detail. It seems like the only option I have left is to remove them and create new ones making sure they are paid time off.

I have tried to update the information as required by the new update and the information will not save on 4 of my employees. I have updated to the latest payroll update; I have changed the phone number, I have closed completely out of QB and still it will not save the information to get rid of the stupid exclamation points. All my other employees had no issues. I spent 45 minutes on a chat support that did not help at all. They just kept telling me to change the information and click on save and close; worthless and waste of my time. Any ideas on what to try next? I even tried to deactivate the employee and I received the error message before the employee was deactivated. I reactivated the employee and still received the m
So I have an employee that still is not able to get setup with workforce. I have invited her several times and still she is getting the following: "Looks like you don't have Workforce" and to contact employer. This is for desktop enhanced payroll and yes I have updated my payroll. Still not able to get her on.
I have an employee who started 5/3/23 and supplied me with a copy of his Social Security number and we've had 3 months without problems. I just went to update his profile as he will now accrue vacation time yet when I hit "save", I am getting an error message "The Social Security no (SSN) for this employee seems incorrect" and I can not make any changes to this employee. Why not? I have a copy of his document and now I can not update his information. Before anyone says documents can be falsified, I am not in the business of determining a real card from a fake. If it's fake, it is good. And I don't want to racially profile my employees either. What can be done to update this employees information??
How do I access my payroll history reports in desktop after I migrated from desktop to online? Desktop does not migrate payroll history to online. My desktop is telling me billing needs to be updated. I only pay for online now since they moved to subscription.
Back in 2021, when IOAP was sunsetting and transitioning to QBOP, Intuit made a statement that they "are working toward a solution for those who would like to consolidate clients into a single account and will notify you when this is made available." We still have clients on QB online payroll with a separate Accountant platform for their QBO accounting software and they are very much ready to have all of their information in one place... and so are we. Does anyone online or at Intuit know the status of this solution?

Question: If the employee started on May 15th, and has a 90 day probation period, do I set the accrual to start on 8/15 and add a one time allotment on 8/15 for the previous 3 months? Or do I start accruals on 9/15? I have settings set to accrue every pay period which is on the 15th of every month. Just don't want to double up for the 7/15-8/15 pay period. For example they accrue 13.334 hours per pay period. I will add 40 hours one time on 8/15 for the probationary period. Do I set accruals to start on 8/15 or the next pay period on 9/15? Thanks
How would I go about switching my current bi-weekly scheduled payroll to a weekly scheduled payroll?
Previously when we looked at profit and loss detail, the payroll expense deducted all tax deductions and only showed net pay. Then something happened and it only shows gross pay.

I am brand new to QuickBooks and I have an employee that get's money taken out of his check after taxes every week and would like that amount paid back to his savings account at the end of every month. I am so confused on how to set this up in QuickBooks! I have a new employee who has joined, who has the same name as an employee already on payroll. Eg John Smith. QBO won't let me add the new employee because it says John Smith already exists. I tried to add fake middle initial, but it said "this name already exists" I could add him as John2 Smith, I can find him easily, and differentiate him, but his paycheck will print with John2 Smith. How do I work around that?
