I can see the "select pay item" for an employee when I open the weekly time sheet but my employee can't. What would prevent my employee from seeing the "select pay item" option?
When I migrated to QBO from QBD I entered the historical checks but for some reason some of them are not getting pulled into the P&L. They show up on the PR summary as "historical checks" but I don't know how to access the individual transactions to see why some are showing up in the P&L and some are not. I have tried calling support multiple times and each time after hours of explaining again what my issue is and sharing my screen to show each agent what I mean, always end up being told they will escalate the issue and yet it's been 5 months with multiple conversations and still it is not resolved. So, I thought I'd try here. Any help would be appreciated. I don't mind entering each check manually there are only 27 but if I do then the payroll summary will be wrong because I can't get rid of the historical checks.
Anyone else able to successfully contact the payroll corrections team? Regular payroll help can't transfer me to them. I had an appointment but now need to reach them.

Out pastor got a retroactive raise and I paid the retroactive amount in the "Other Earnings Type" box. Unfortunately I forgot to zero out that box is the next two paychecks and he was overpaid. In correcting that overpayment will the Quickbooks Payroll system recognize a negative number in the Other Earnings Type box and withhold from the paycheck and correct the year to date field total?
Is there going to be an update to the QuickBooks desktop payroll software to add a Roth Simple IRA plan deduction starting January 1,2025?

I was trying to edit the policies I created, but now I just made a bunch of messed up policies and I cannot delete the old/bad ones.
[I've been using QuickBooks Online extensively to manage our company's payroll and have generally been pleased with its functionality and reliability. However, I've encountered a significant issue that I hope to find guidance on here.Recently, we decided to enhance our employees' retirement options by encouraging them to enroll in a Roth SIMPLE IRA, spurred by the enhancements of the SECURE Act 2.0. Unfortunately, when we tried to set up the necessary payroll deductions in QuickBooks, I was surprised to find that the platform does not yet support Roth SIMPLE IRA deductions. This lack of support complicates our payroll process and affects our operational efficiency. It also impacts our employees' trust in us to effectively manage their benefits. As we all know, retirement planning is evolving rapidly, with significant changes like automatic enrollment features expected in the upcoming SECURE Act 3.0. Timely updates in QuickBooks are more crucial than ever.I'm reaching out to see if anyon
How can I get the system to allow the catchup contribution as well as a company contribution for an employees end of the year check?
Good afternoon, I have noticed that my employees' W-2 forms are missing the state employer ID number on box 15 . Could you please advise me on how to rectify this issue as soon as possible?Thank you
I have a client who uses QuickBooks online for payroll. There were some issues earlier in the year that had to be corrected by filing Amended 941s. We filed the W-3 and W-2s directly with the SSA to make sure the amounts were correct. However, Online QuickBooks shows the W-3/W-2 task as open, forms needed to be e-filed. Is there a way I can mark this task completed so it does not keep popping up? Thanks in advance.
I set up the Maine PMFL with the incorrect number of employees. 1 checked 1-14, it needs to be 15 or more but I can't see how to change it. I have not issued any paychecks yet this year. Thanks.
I added a fringe benefit payroll item (Company Contribution type, Fringe Benefits tracking type) to increase gross pay for two employees without increasing net pay. That worked fine. The problem I'm having is the Company Contribution type of payroll item required a liability account to be assigned. Therefore, after creating a paycheck for the employees with the fringe benefit item added, the payroll liability account was increased by the ENTIRE amount of the fringe benefit, rather than just the amount of the withholding taxes pertaining to that fringe benefit. I can't figure out how to eliminate the excess liability (total fringe benefit minus withholding taxes) from my balance sheet.Thank you for whatever help you can provide.(FYI - I used the Company Contribution type of payroll item because the employees didn't receive cash as a fringe benefit, but a benefit where all expenses had been paid by the company.)
Hello, Does anyone know when/how QuickBooks payroll is going to handle the payroll tax "catchup" withdrawals when the new "withdraw now instead of later" policy goes into effect? I'm hoping someone in a jurisdiction that has already completed this will be able to help. Context:This morning I received a "late tax payment" notice in QuickBooks Payroll. The payment had a due date of Feb 6 (today is Feb 27, and this only just appeared). After much confusion and a long call to support (during which the agent offered several explanations), we determined that this is the payroll tax for January pay period. Historically, this would have been paid in March. That is also when I had it scheduled in my cash flow projections.Reviewing my account, I noticed that my payroll taxes for February pay period are now due Mar 6. That looks a lot like the new policy which isn't set to go into effect until April. What's going on here? It appears that Intuit, in anticipation of the policy goi
Why do you have to send payroll data if you don't use direct deposit
I was looking for a way to format my OH local filings for the EFW2 but the instructions did not pull the local withholdings. Anyone out there that files RITA-OH local filings have any way to do this within QB's desktop would be nice to know how to do this so I would not have to mail the W2s.
The QuickBooks Enhanced Payroll Client Ready Payroll Reports detail tab repeats the pay checks in the first payroll when using "All Payroll in the Date Range" and the date range is greater than one pay period. When running the report for the month with a weekly payroll, it pulls the first weekly pay date and repeats this same payroll data four times instead of showing all four weekly pay dates in the month. This occurs in every company file in QuickBooks Desktop 2022 and 2021. Downloading the entire payroll update and repairing the QB installation, did not fix. Anyone else having this issue?
I updated a new payroll direct debit bank account number but missed the setting where the payroll expense is written to. After two cycles, I realized the transactions were written to the 'old' account. The question is how to reverse these to the actual account, if necessary, so I can successfully close the original account?
I have followed instructions on setting up a customer group and that is set up fine. However, when I go to set up a Role and go to Areas and Activities, then Centers and select Customer Center, there is no option to create a Custom Activity Access Level. Is this a feature that needs to be activated? Anyone know why it wouldn't be showing up?
How do I enter a manual payroll check and distribute it
