Employees and payroll

I asked about this here once before but wanted to bring up the subject once more to see if anyone has any additional input or maybe some new solutions. Is anyone using any employee time tracking software that works with QuickBooks Enterprise? Looking for something that allows employees to use a tablet or PC to log in digitally when that arrive/depart work.

In July, our former pastor's final paycheck was reduced by the pastor's utility bills once she left the parsonage. I should've used Misc. expense for that reduction instead of Pastor's utilities (which is an addition to her salary) It appears to have reduced her federal withholding by half it's normal salary tax. When QB created the 941 form, the total wages on line 2 is $85.31 less than Payroll summary for that quarter. The refund is $85.59. Should I keep the refund? Should I post it to Payroll Expense acct? How will this affect her w-2? Is there a solution????
I first go to Employee List, Employee, then Documents. I am only able to view documents can not edit, delete or add.
Good Morning, I have a employee who has been able to get access to his pay stub in the past and he was trying to sign in yesterday and got an error saying Something not quite right We can't find your company in our system. Let your employer know to reach out to us for help. I tried to access my pay stub from my phone and had no problem. Then I tried from my desktop and got the same error. How do I go about getting this corrected? Thanks, CK18
Our employees went to enter their time for payroll and they now do not have access to it. They get an error message "you do not have access rights to edit this information." I just upgraded from QB Online Payroll to Advanced. I spent an hour on the phone with QB customer service and they assure me that they have access to payroll. Is payroll done differently on QB Online Advanced?
When I import my iif payroll data, it is assigning check numbers. How can I get it to not do that?
Pay period that defaulted starts on a Friday and ends on a Wednesday.
I ran payroll 2 weeks ago (3/1/23). I am currently running payroll today (3/15/23) and there seems to have been a huge update to the run payroll screen. I have been with QB payroll since 02/2017 and have had many issues before that I have just gotten used to making changes in my workflow to accommodate all QB changes/updates even though they should be accommodating the customer. So the update looks nice and I was excited for a refreshing change. However, now that I am entering all the data there seems to be issues that I cannot continue to use QB payroll if they don't get fixed: Before the update I would always click on the regular pay box for each employee and tab over to the next field, if necessary. Now I have to tab to the next employee's regular pay field (for reasons listed in #2) which now takes 8 times to press Tab to enter the regular pay hours. If you have a lot of employees it's ends up being too much work for no reason.I use my mouse to click that box for the next
The payroll department has ROYALLY messed up my books. My books were perfectly correct, but when I transitioned to the QB payroll module, I entered the historical paychecks for the year. The system did not load that information into the payroll module. My chart of accounts was all correct, but the payroll module did not match my chart of accounts. Customer service had to submit a correction request. It took about a month, but the payroll team called me regarding the correction request. I filled out the template they sent me with the data that needed to be added to the payroll module. They entered the data and asked me to verify they entered it correctly. Upon checking, I made them aware that they mis-keyed one of the FUTA entries by $3.00. They keyed $4.50 instead of $7.50. I verified that the data I sent them was correct, and it was. Now, they have not been able to rectify their error. First, they adjusted Medicare, which was never incorrect to begin with. Which led to the payroll sys
I have 2 companies that some of the direct deposits didn't go through for March 17, 2023.Chat lines are down.I need some answers to tell my employees of both companies.
How do I book the owner's payroll deductions for child support in QuickBooks? Is this a payroll expense for him or a liability since he owns the company?
I hate quickbooks support. it is non existent
I would like to suspend my subscription and stop payroll for several months, but I will still need to file the federal and state quarterly tax returns that QuickBooks generates for me. Will I still be able to approve and send those returns electronically through the website? The first quarter is usually not available until early to mid-April. Or can I file them now since I won't have any more payroll for the first quarter of this year? If you could explain the process I'd be so grateful.
Hi Community,I'm a union employer running payroll who pays into union funds. I'd like to remove the company contribution items from showing up on employee paystubs. Is there a way to do this? Thank you!
I have an employee on a wage scale job. I was not aware of the wage scale till the following week. I do use the timesheet feature to process payroll. I owe him 24 hours @ $9.68 an hour that I need to pay him for the week of 27 Feb - 05 March. How do I do this correctly?
One of my past part-time employees (college student) moved to a different dorm and did not get their 2022 1099. They called me with a new address and asked if I can re-send the 1099. Is that something that can easily be done in QB Online/Payroll? Or is the onus on the employee to contact the IRS for a copy? Thank you.
Please advise! What is the best upgrade from QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020? Normally I get the best deal at Sam's. Walmart has QUICKBOOKS DESKTOP Pro Plus with Enhanced Payroll, which doesn't help because I pay QuickBooks for my payroll subscription.
