Employees and payroll

Due to new regulations, our employee's hourly wage could be different depending on what project they are working on that day. What is the easiest/best way to do the payroll for them without creating 2 separate checks and changing their hourly rate twice a paycheck? Is there a way for me to figure total gross pay manually and just enter the amount, and have QB calculate net pay?
One of my employees asked to have his payroll check split in 2 equal amounts. For example, Employee ABC makes $1,000 biweekly, and he would like getting two $500 checks. Is this possible? My other option is to run payroll weekly, but I would like to avoid running weekly payrolls only for one employee only.
We recently converted from Sage 50 to Quickbooks. In Sage, we would create recurring payments for our payroll tax liabilities using an placeholder amount (equal to an average amount we pay every month). This would allow us to use those amounts in our cashflow calculations. When we try to create these same liabilities as Bills in QuickBooks, we receive the following message: Problem: It appears you're about to pay your payroll liabilitiesSolution: To ensure that your payroll tax forms and reports are calculated correctly in Quickbooks, you should use the Pay Payroll Liabilities feature to create checks for payroll tax payments. We will use the "Pay Payroll Liabilities" feature to pay our payroll taxes every month but I want to also have a way to forecast these amounts and calculate them into our cashflow reporting. I don't believe this is possible without first creating a bill for these amounts. Can someone clarify how we can accomplish this while still working
Has anyone had their 4th Q 941 rejected due to the ERC? The 941 in completed correctly and the startup recovery box on the information page of the 941 is marked but it is being rejected and the rejection message is that the recovery startup business box is not checked when it clearly is.
But, medicare wages in box 5 equal box 1. None of these employees are anywhere near social security caps - mostly part time college students
My employee hasn't been paid yet through direct deposit even though I submitted his pay a week ago. Does it usually last this long for direct deposit to go through?

I've called multiple times to notify QuickBooks/Intuit of errors they made when migrating our data as they "retired" and Intuit Online Payroll and moved us to QuickBooks Online Payroll Core. Nobody has been able to elevate this for correction. Does Quickbooks/Intuit even care? The transition has been as hard as moving to an entirely new provider...except they would have cared about doing it right. I'm about ready to give up. Who can actually correct the issues so I can have confidence in our payroll system again.?
The payroll amount on my employee W2 are incorrect. Can these be adjusted before filing?
All work is performed in CO, where the business is located.
After 15 years, Intuit forced us to move from Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) to QB Payroll Core in December 2021. The transition has not been smooth. That said, I did manage to create accurate 2021 W2s using QB Payroll Core, file them, and archive them with all of my past filings. HOWEVER, QB Payroll Core would not create my 1099s. I was told by the Help Team that I had to use Quickbooks Online itself to make 1099s. Although this seems wrong on its face (and expensive) , I did so successfully. But now I'm stuck with 2021 1099s that cannot be archived and stored in my account. How can I put these documents in the QB Online Payroll archive where they belong?
I post this with hopes that someone at QB might actually care enough to help me -- and I suspect others -- who have had a horrible experience after being converted from Intuit Online Payroll (IOP) to QuickBooks Payroll. I also write to ask if I'm alone as an Intuit Online Payroll user forced to convert to QB Payroll Core only to have my once-perfect payroll system and archived data turn into an unreliable mess. 1. Despite requesting otherwise, we were forced to migrate in mid-December, not exactly a great time of the year. 2. Migration introduced *true errors* in our payroll reports and records. While support agents have been helpful, it's clear they cannot solve the issue as the *root cause* was the conversion. 3. The errors are not trivial and are ones QB should care about as they relate to local taxing jurisdictions. While (thank goodness) paychecks can be issued and W2s are correct (although I had to proofread them all!), some of our internal QuickBooks Payroll generated reports ar
Am I seeing this correctly?--Looks like we here in NJ once again have no QB e-File option for NJ W-2/W-3 in a state that is e-File mandatory. It is going to take hours to manually enter every employee name, address, gross wages, withholding and all the DOL taxes. This a huge issue if true. Any commentary from moderators?
When trying to send payroll/direct deposit nothing happens. No error message, no prompt to enter PIN. I have to hit ESC to unfreeze.
I have quickbooks online
Long time reader, first time poster. We recently set up a 401k matching program for our employees. We also use QB to track PST and PTO for our salary employees. For years I have just inputted how many PST hours, PTO hours, and regular hours they have worked and it automatically divvies up the annual salary and simultaneous tracks the PST and PTO accumulations/usage. I love this feature because I can internally analyze how much of our total payroll costs are associated with vacations and sick days. However, I just set up a 401k contribution and 401k company match payroll item as a percentage of salary and things are no longer working. QB is only calculating 401k amounts against the regular salary dollar amount, not the gross including any PST and PTO used. Basically, I want it to calculate both the 401k contribution and 401k company match from the gross of all compensation payroll items listed for that particular paycheck instead of just regular salary hours. Any help wou
I have a few manual payroll checks issued to employee paying gross wages not net of taxes. I saw the taxes and gross pay on the payroll detail reports (outside company). The payroll taxes EE/ER were taken out of the bank account. I did journal entries for net pay for this one employee. What should I do here?
Some of our employees get 4 a paycheck sick/vacation and some are now entitled to 6 a paycheck. When I change the hours from 4 to 6 in the employees number of hours to accrue for each paycheck, it reverts back to the lower hours as soon as I get out of it. How do i get the specific employees who are now entitled to 6 hours stay at 6?
Doing W-2's. My box 3 & 5 are not correct when adding back in the 401(k) amounts for the employees. They are off a small amount, several employees are off the same amount. Has anyone had this problem? How do I fix it?
I am hoping I can find some help with the following questions regarding the Massachusetts EMAC/UHI Contribution and Supplemental Contribution payroll Items and liability adjustments; 1) Can anyone give specific details on how both the Massachusetts EMAC/UHI Contribution and EMAC/UHI Supplemental Contribution payroll items should be set up in QuickBooks Desktop with specifically with regard to the type for mapping? Is it supposed to be "other" or "none"? 2) In which area should these items have been entered into each employees account? Unser the "Additions, Deductions & Company Contributions" section or under the "Taxes" "Other" section? 3) While I have paid the EMAC/UHI and EMAC Supplemental liabilities that the DUA calculated, Quickbooks never calculated the amounts or showed the liability due, and I am unsure how to adjust the liability in QuickBooks. When I go to adjust payroll liabilities, should it be adjusted it as a company adjustment or an
Hello- I sent a link to a contractor to fill out their profile. They took a few days to do it and the link expired. When i go to their profile, there is no way for me to "resend" them a link. (See attached screenshot.) What should I do? Thank you-
When I click on Taxes/Payroll and choose to manually pay my 941 Weekly, QBO keeps assigning that payment to the wrong bank register. It doesn't matter which bank I choose in the bank account drop down box, it keeps placing it in the other bankI need it to go to Hancock Bank, but it keeps showing up in the People's Bank register causing that account to appear to overdrawn.
I have not deducted tax for 1 employee due to her wrong W4, after correction of w4, QBO asked to deduct the tax from other deduction and file manually, which I did and Iris, return .
