The employees are tax exempt through a program and the W-2 must notate this in box 14 - Other. Is this possible to complete?
I have HOA owners who send additional funds with their monthly payment as a "savings" account for their insurance at the end of the year. When the master invoice comes in, I create an invoice in QB for their respective amounts and apply those prepaid credits to their invoice. This has thrown my income, unapplied cash payments, and insurance expense out balance. I'm really struggling to clear this up for this year. Any suggestions? Would setting up an escrow accounts take care of this year end issue? Help!
I have two companies, separate EIN.Can I use the Enhanced Payroll that I purchased for both companies? If so, how do I do it.

I require some help with fixing a payroll entry that was attached to the wrong bank account in QB.The direct deposit and taxes are coming out of the correct bank account and the employee was paid. However, I cannot reconcile my bank accounts in quickbooks as the payroll was linked to the wrong recorded bank account in QB. Can I void or edit this payroll DD to match the correct quickbook bank account to be able to reconcile my actual bank account with the books. Thank you.
We have QB Enterprise and do our own payroll with Intuit making the direct deposit for all employees. Once payroll is completed in house we send data to Intuit. It was working great for 3 years until last 3 payrolls. Intuit gets the details we send but the system states. "We're sorry. We've encountered a Payroll Service connection error and could not send your payroll information" QB stated we need to delete all checks and manually add the data back in a process that has taken 2 days each pay period. When we open up QB it states you have checks to send?
So in the past year I have been thrown into a situation that I have not dealt with in the past. I took over many of the operations of my dad's business (until December when he pasted and now myself and my siblings are owners of the business). As part of the operations I took over, one is dealing with employee payroll. In all my years of using Quickbooks I have not needed this as I always worked on my own with no employees.I started running the Payroll full-time via QB back in April of 2020, besides the random mistake (which would be quickly fixed), I have had no problems with it. That is until now. For Christmas, we issued each employee a bouns check, no problem, but what we did find was for two employees on their next check, the last one of the year, the YTD total for bonus was now double. So for example the bonus was only $500, but the YTD total shows $1000. As far as I know, no other bonuses were given throughout the year and the check prior
how do I add a new paid holiday (good friday) in quickbooks online? We didn't pay employees on this holiday last year
Every other payroll program I use already has W2s available on line to print out and see. EXCEPT QB. I think every business that currently subscribes to QB Online should unsubscribe FEB 1, 2022. They're also not mailing W2s until FEB 1. LATE. As a result, I print out the w2s, when they're finally available, and mail them myself. A service I shouldn't have to pay for since they are already late. What's up QB? This is par for your company, this isn't due to covid, labor shortages or any other excuse you can dream up. I very much look forward to the competition edging you out.
WE STARTED THE YEAR RUNNING PAYROLL FROM QUICKBOOKS ONLINE, THEN SWITCHED TO QB DESKTOP PLATINUM ENTERPRISE. HOW DO I MANUALLY ENTER THE PAYROLL INFO INTO QB ONLINE?
On Wednesday, 1/5/2022, I prepared our Friday, 1/7/2022 payroll for direct deposit--this is usual standard process. All 4 employees received their direct deposit today. All pay stubs printed are correctly dated 1/7/2022. Oddly, Quickbooks shows a red exclamation point symbol on Pay Employees today and says today's payroll is overdue, as if I did not run the scheduled payroll. I have all available system updates. Anyone else having a payroll issue today in the desktop pro plus 2021 verision? I've tried to call Intuit support..... Call 1: they hung up on me. Call 2: I was told I had the number that only supports online payroll, and referred to 2 different numbers for desktop payroll. Call 3: Recorded message said the number (I was just given) is not in service. Call 4: Automated system said I could not be connected to an agent and the automated agent wanted to "send me some articles about how to use payroll". Seriously WTF!? Most horrib
I need to update my State tax rates for payroll. How is this done?
We switched from an outside payroll vendor to Quickbooks Enhances Payroll in Oct 2021. We need to add the previous payroll totals in to QB so the 2021 W-2s will be correct. However, when I try to go in to enter them, it states 2022 as the year. Can someone help? thanks so much!
I am using QB Desktop 2020. I don't have Excel on my machine. Is there a way to export tax forms to a csv format instead of Excel?
Manual entry on Federal website has the payment coming correctly into our savings account. But when we try to complete the tax payment screen in QB - it won't use the savings account. Just checking.
The 2022 CPP deduction rates are being calculated at 5.45% -- This is the rate for 20212022 should be 5.7% - when will this be corrected?
I am a CPA and advanced certified proadvisor. After doing some year-end tax planning --- which by the way happens after year-end sometimes in the real world --- my client decided to issue two bonus checks on 1/4/2022 that needed to be dated 12/31/2021. Since a payroll had already been done for 1/3/2022, the 12/31/2021 bonus checks could not be processed in QBO. I had to contact Intuit and have the checks entered by the "Corrections Team". A task that should have taken me 10 minutes to complete has now taken over 1.5 hours that I cannot bill the client for.I got the results from the "Corrections Team" and they are WRONG. Instead of two employees each getting a check, one employee got two checks. This is a father and son so the names are similar --- but WHY DIDN'T THE CORRECTIONS TEAM AT LEAST QUESTION IT. So now I will spend another 30 minutes of unbillable time getting this fixed.AND the client will have to make an EFTPS deposit because QBO cannot process the payment. I doubt the client
