I can see questions, I have asked questions in the past, but it is always a head scratcher on how to post a question. I know I am asking a question here, but it is in totally the wrong part of the community. Is there a phone number to speak to someone on how to use the community? By the way, Intuit, if you are reading this, your community IT is a hot mess.
We currently use Method CRM as a means to get REST API access to our Quickbooks Desktop transactions but we've had issues with their service lately and would like to find another application that does the same sort of thing. Can anyone recommend another application that sits alongside Quickbooks Desktop and syncs transactions that also provides an easy-to-use REST API?
Recurring transaction not working in the QBO invoice template update. Anyone else have this?
I am getting error - You have one or more errors. Fix the fields below to continue.but there are no errors. I started a new invoice and entered only the customer, date and one line of information and tried to save it and still get the same error. It doesnt show any red flags except at the top with the error message. There is literally nothing to fix yet it wont let me save. so I cant proceed entering in any of my invoices until this is solved.
I keep getting a notice that says:"Critical Update Released. To enjoy uninterrupted access to your Quickbooks, you'll need to update to the latest version before 31st May" I currently have QB Desktop Premier Plus Nonprofit Edition 2023 and am asking if I really need to update to this new version already and what will happen if I don't.
Hi,There was an update to QBO the week of 9/11/23. After this update, the ability to "Swipe Card" when taking payment on a sales receipt disappeared and we are forced to key in the customers security code, name , address etc. We are charged 3.5% fees for this. What happened to the swipe feature? It is still there when receiving payments for invoices.
We are using QBO Advanced. I am not an Admin, but I have full access otherwise. The reclassify tool is not in the tools menu. We are an NFP. The only app we have that syncs to Quick Books is Bill.com.Is there a reason I don't have Reclassify in the menu?

We issue checks for a third party and post them to A/R. We had to void a check from a prior period. I did the journal entry to post the void. However, in the Customer payment area, the check still shows as if it was still due from the third party. How do I clear this? Thank you,LRH
I heard that Quickbooks is urging QB Desktop owners to move to QB Online because the desktop version is going away end of May 2024. Does anyone know about this? Please Advise? Thank you!
I've been working on reconciling checking accounts. When I go to my chart of accounts and select a bank account, the register will not open. If I go to "Use Register" on the banking drop down menu, it still does not open. I've rebooted QB. Didn't help. I rebooted my laptop. Still didn't help.I'm pretty much lost after that. Can I get some help with this? Much appreciated.
We've been using Enterprise Solutions 16.0 for 3 years. Since we started the users with almost full access have problems with searching the list in customer file. The only solution I've found is the delete the user and create a new name and password for them. Has anyone found a solution for this problem????
Have obtained a new client who wants us to do his books. His current bookkeeper is retiring (common theme these days). She has his books on QB Desktop and I only work with QBO and we're not well versed on QB Desktop. What is the best approach to convert her QB Desktop files to QBO under my administration: Have her convert to QBO and then transfer account to me?Can she give me a file and I can convert to QBO under my account/administration? Any feedback is much appreciated!
i need to know if i correctly changed bank information for deposits
Whenever I open a new tab in the QBO app for windows, it loads my home dashboard, but then starts a reload process for the dashboard over again. Usually I've clicked on a task, and the reload interrupts it and reloads the dashboard. I'd say on average it wastes about 30 seconds from when I've clicked on a link/task from the initial load, then have to wait for it to reload before I can do the task I'd like. It's definitely not an internet connectivity issue as we are on a 500Gbps connection, and new tabs load just fine in the QBO web browser. But it's a very irritating bug in the QBO app, that has made me abandon the app altogether and just use the web browser version, as I like to work in more than one tab at a time, and each new tab double loads and takes 30s to 1 minute to load. This seems like it should be a simple glitch for QBO to fix.
My auditors are asking if I have access to the backend database supporting QuickBooks Online as a customer. Could I please get QuickBooks' confirmation to prove to the auditors?
for the last week or more i have been trying to upgrade my desktop pro plus 2021 to 2024 and it shows a white screen and nothing happens.... as of today my subscription expired and still unable to upgrade. although i keep getting information on switching to ONLINE... i dont want online, i want the 2024 desktop version, how do i get it now? my payment for the subscription is scheduled for tomorrow.
First, what is correct is the file from my CPA with the adjusted balance for last year's taxes, and the current customers I have listed and transactions. Is there a way to amend what I currently have in a QBB file for all of my transactions and customers (as of 05/15/2024), to what my CPA has for the adjusted starting balance from last year's taxes? His number was posted into QB Desktop on 02/07/2024. Thank you in advance.
Been using desktop for 23+ years and now getting ready to setup an online instance. We currently use the payroll module/upgrade and see that option for the Online including "core", "Premium" and "elite". We currently have two QB files for two different businesses the owner want to roll into one similar online environment. Questions. 1. Do we need two different online accounts or can we upload, upgrade and operate our two unique GB file/instances in the cloud? 2. If hte answer to #1 is YES can we use the Payroll Core module to run with both unique company files? Thx. Shawn

Having a hard time finding a definitive answer to this question. Is there a way to set up Desktop so that it logs users out after a period of inactivity? I'm finding lots of information on this for Online, but nothing for Desktop that says either way if it's not available. Not finding it, so I'm assuming it's not there. Running Enterprise 2018.
How do I add items into Inventory without a PO?
How do I set up Location in Desktop? I want to add it as an option when adding expenses so that when I set up my budget I can subdivide by location as well. I see the instructions for QB online that start with the little settings gear, but I don't have that option in Desktop. Can anyone help?
Our company does pool maintenance and repairs. Sometimes repair service includes having to purchase and replace a specific part. We do not really have an inventory since the parts that are purchased are used at that specific time of the repair and are purchases that are made only when they are necessary. How do I record those types of purchases in Quickbooks?
Recently installed windows optional quality update kb5026435. Running QB pro 2022 on windows 10 and quickbooks database server on separate windows 10 machine. Opening the company file only works in single user and the database server does not show any files connected. If I uninstall the windows update, everything works as expected. All machines are up to date with R9 of QB Pro 2022.
