Third Party POS App is forwarding this message: Quick Book Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Our file is 16 years old. We have reached our limit of items. After two hours of trying to export the two years we need to do comparable reports didn’t work because exporting to form a part two of our business to go forward makes us export the list in the choices of what we need. Starting a part two leaves all customers, and every other topic empty. With over 600 active customers we can’t lose all that info. We just want to take the last two years going forward. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks so much!!!

Since they have changed the invoicing as of 10/16/23, I cannot seem to hide the "Product or service" on my invoices, which I could do previously. I only need customers to see the "Description" because it has the details they need. It takes up too much space and is too wordy for my needs. Does anyone know how to hide it? I can't find it anywhere!
Good afternoon,We currently set up projects under the customer to track costs. I invoice from the project also. Someone mentioned that you should always invoice under just the customer name, not the project. Thoughts?
I just wanted to report 2 observations when searching posts on the QB Community web-site. 1) I look for any posts I am interested in, or I just scroll though page by page. Here it would be helpful to see if the post was related to QB online or desktop. I am using the desktop version, thus, would skip any posts related to QB online.Currently I have to go into the post to see if its related to QBO. 2) when I am on subsequent pages and go into a post then come out again, the web-site always goes back at page 1 instead of remaining on the page I was when reading a post. This is rather annoying as I have to go back to the page I was (if I remember it) then continue from there. I just wanted to mention it to make it more convenient navigating through your web-site.

According to forum articles and annotation on My Products page, View Only Access should be available for 1 year after expiry of subscription to QB Desktop Pro 2022. However, no such option appears when we try to open our company file in the Desktop client? See screenhost. How do we gain view only access to our data?
I have QB desktop Pro Plus 2023 and 2023 payroll. It is time for me to renew, I am a one person home based business and don't really need the 2024 update but need payroll for wages & qtrly and yr end taxes. Can I just renew payroll and not desktop?
I have been using Quickbooks desktop for years! Now when I try to change companies, my Quickbooks shuts down. I restart and try to switch companies and it shuts down again. I called support and they told me the problem is, I am using Quickbooks 2021. They told me to close my company and then all my companies would show up so I could change companies. Now that isn't working! Quickbooks shuts down. They want me to update to 2022 or 2023, but I can't. They took away the scan manager ap and want me to download my bill of ladings on my phone! That is a joke! I do many invoices everyday and that is not an option for me!!! I am at a loss and don't know what to do!!!
Reminders from the recurring transaction list is not updating once entered or the internet is refreshed. this has been an issue since the end of sept 2023. Has anyone discovered a resolution?
When doing payroll I find that I have to manually deduct 401k contributions and matches after payroll is done. Isn't there a way to set it up so that it will automatically deduct it (ie, you'd tell it which vendor to put it under), or should this be a manual thing? Or could it at least a reminder in the payroll to do list? I could easily forget to do enter those entries after completing the 401k on my contribution site.

My colleague has the QBO app; he is able to log-in. But before doing anything else, he gets an error that tells him that 'you must do this in a browser'. We can't reset the cache or anything. He's already tried reinstalling the app as a potential solution.Snapping a receipt is not really possible in the browser--adding a bill is a manual process and we're not able to leverage the (very cool) intelligence of taking a picture of the receipt and having it create a bill for us. Why is this happening?

Hello - Our business is an electrical commercial contracting entity. A lot of our payments are done through title companies and waivers for certain amounts off the the entire contract amount. Current process is we create an estimate for the entire project, turn it into an invoice for the total amount- and then do progress invoicing off the estimate when we receive the amounts for each draw from the title companies. There are two problems, one when we create an invoice from the estimate and do progress invoicing we are doubling in a sense our P & L. And second if we just leave the estimate, and not turn it into a invoice for the full amount and just do progress invoicing off the estimate - the contracted amount does not show in the P & L. Anyone else know how to do progress invoicing and also show the full amount of the estimate/contract in the P & L? Thanks!
I recently purchased the license for QuickBooks Mac Plus 2022. It seems like there's a radically different method to the way the software has been built compared to Mac Desktop 2016 and Mac Desktop 2019. And what I'm experiencing is unbelievably frustrating. Drastic 15 second pauses with nearly every single thing I do. For example. I'm trying to now to work through roughly 100 downloaded transactions for one month's bank statement, and naturally I need to add the Payee and Account for each item before hitting the 'Add Multiple' button. In versions past this would be a very rapid process, probably 5 minutes for 100 transaction. Now, after each line, I am paused with a spinning beach ball that requires 15 seconds downtime. For each line! So what should take close to 5 minutes will take more than 30. This is not tolerable. Either there is a preference that I can adjust to get out of this mess (I'm all ears) or th
We have a vendor that we prepay so they can purchase materials to build our product. I have a situation where we prepaid the vendor in May of 2020. Since then we have several bills from them that I have applied this payment to. Only parts of these bills are paid with the prepayment and the rest is covered by check. In March of 2021 I applied this payment to a bill. Let's say I have prepaid the vendor $1,000 and the bill was $700 and I paid the whole $700 with the prepayment. This brings the prepayment balance down to $300. Now I am finding out this was incorrect, and I was only supposed to apply $300 from the prepayment and the balance of $400 by check. Because this was a prepayment and I paid this bill by going to Pay Bills and Set Credits, I cannot unapply the payment from the bill. Does anyone know how to do this so that I show the $400 portion of the bill still open and the prepayment amount open for $700 ? We use Desktop Enterp

QBDT Pro+ 2023Curious why when we email an invoice with an attachment, nearly half the time the response from the customer is that "there was no attachment". When I look in my "sent mail" folder, there is an attachment but somehow many customers claim there is nothing attached to what they get. Is this a known problem, or ????
