OK - I been using QBs online under my original company (last 9 yrs) and it let me setup a "customer" and then setup "services" under each customer individually. I was able to assign customer A a rate ($100hr) and customer B a rate ($75hr) for the same service. I've started a new company and have opened a new set of QBs online for it and this ver looks completely different and its not letting me setup as described before - OR - at least I'm not figuring out how to do it correctly in this new ver.??? Do I have the ability to set it up as before or do I have to create a "service" (2,3,4 times) with an identifier for each one based on client???
I have been using Quickbooks POS 19 for over 10 years. With it's planned retirement in October, is there any version that will enable me to continue using my current barcodes/price tags and not have to switch to a system and recreate THOUSANDS of barcodes?

Si hago un invoice por $1,000 y al recibir el pago de mi cliente en mi checking account veo que me depositó $980 porque me aplicó $20 de descuento por pago rápido, es correcto modificar el invoice que le envié anteriormente y agregar un descuento por $20 para que pueda hacer match con el deposito y el invoice quede pagado ? O hay otra forma para registrar eso correctamente ? Pregunto esto, porque así lo hice y luego en el report de profit and loss me aparecen los $20 como "discount given" en Income, y en realidad el cliente me descontó a mi. Muchas gracias !

I do the books for a company that obtained a judgment against a vendor. The company he works for is now garnishing his wages and making payments; how do i enter this in QB Desktop. My first thought is to enter an Other Current Asset called garnishment receivable or something along those lines for the base amount of the garnishment and then a separate account for the interest due. Or, do i do it for the total of the judgment which includes the principal, court costs as well as the interest allowed by the Court?Thank you.
Why they removed the tracking # field?? Why they removed the ship date field? Why they removed the ship via field??? Subtotal field?? Using Google Chrome. Quickbooks online forced me to use Acrobat, which I did, and still had the same printing issue. This issue started today.

This doesn't happen very often, but if I'm working late, or otherwise have to leave hurriedly, I'll leave a company file open. Doesn't concern me, as I work alone, at home, and nobody has the p.w. to my system after it times out. Just annoying when I come it and QB doesn't recognize that it's the next day and adds the previous day's date on all transactions. The only way to really know this is if you open up your bank account and get the blue line that denotes future transactions. Given that QB's always "phoning home", you'd think that it would pick this up. Any solutions, other than kill the file and reopen it? Lyle

Is there a way to have a bill number or memo appear when vendor payments are made through direct deposit in QuickBooks Enterprise Version 23? Our vendors get very confused when they receive a direct deposit from us and they don't know what bills to apply the payment we are making. Seems to me there should be a way to add the reference number when those payments are generated from QuickBooks.
Hi,our company had a long term liability account for a machine. Each time when we made a payment towards the loan, we recorded it against this account. The loan is paid off. The liability account balance is now $0We now have a fully paid machine (asset) but it's not showing on the balance sheet.How do we show the asset in the balance sheet. Seems like it was not setup correctly in the first place. Thanks!
When I invoice my bill to and ship to name stays the same, but the address shows properly. They are set up as sub-customer with a parent customer. I am billing the parent customer. Their address shows in the bill to field, but their name does not. If I add the name with the bill to address, then it shows both names in the field. How do I get the bill to field to show properly? Without having to override the field every time?
Recently QBO updated the platform and it has caused a particular problem. Since that time ALL of the POs that have been created are coming up with Billable Expense Charges and I'm not sure why. We have never had this occur prior. Has anyone experienced this and how was it fixed? QBO told me that in order to unclick billable I have to create a bill, but we don't create bills until we receive the invoices.
I have just upgraded my Pc with Windows 10, a new SSD, reloaded QB SimpleStart 2013 CD with software we previously bought, updated, copied data back. Everything ok but software doing a countdown 27 days to register. Have all details but need a validation code by a phone agent. We are a one man business and are happy with this older version that we bought as a once off in June 2013. How do we acquire a validation code? Have Licence Number, product code

How do you migrate Quicken "for Mac" date to QB online. I tried converting to CSV files and then uploading, only to read that only works for Windows. I can't find any helpful information about this anywhere. Who knew it was such an unusual thing???

Hello! I have a client who sells Avon and Scentsy. She has three different bank accounts that she transfers between and buys products. The last 6 months she has been putting sales funds into her personal account.She is behind on taxes (2022) and is trying to get everything back in order. Is it as simple as putting purchases to products and all sales as income. And if she had sales deposited to her personal account, that would be owner's draw? Am I thinking correctly? All the transfers between accounts has me going cross-eyed.
Hello, I'm not sure of the exact terminology I am looking for. I'll try my best to explain what I am trying to do. The company currently has their jobs listed out one by one in the customer list. However many of these jobs should be under a main company. So let's say ABC Co. is a customer. Instead of having ABC Co listed as the primary, then every job we have for them listed under them as a sub, they are all broken out indivdually. So I am not able to print a simple statement for customers, or see how much profit was made from each parent company as a whole. It's job by job. I know there is a way to set this up moving forward (I believe it's hierarchical view). But what I really want to know is there a way to fix what is already existing? How do I create an ABC parent company then move all of their jobs(already entered) under that new parent company? Is that possible? And if so can it be a bulk update because I am going to have to do this for thousands of orders. Any help is

There is a company online claiming to have 'Quickbooks Online Advanced Certification' and is acting as a reseller. How can I confirm their status with Intuit as having this certification?Thanks.
I am confused about why my screen changes on different days when I log in... Yesterday when I logged in I had a home screen that had all the extra options on the top of the screen, today it is just the basic menu. It does this every few log ins. I log in and out the same way every day. I am just curious as to why it does this.
