Trying to export chart of accounts from one company file to another. Online Instructions on website don't work. I am using standalone QuickBooks 2013. I go to File--Utilities--IIF Files, but files are not transferred. What's wrong?
From my app transactions, I typically am able to update or add my customer or items for Square transactions. The dropdown is blank and will not give me the option to add, yet I am getting a message that it's a "New Square Customer and I should Update". I have tried everything for weeks and it's becoming a real pain for my books. Please help! I should also add that Square is pulling over the correct customer and I can see it, I just can't edit it or add it as my Quickbooks customer name. I tried adding directly to my customers list and when I go back into the app transactions, it doesn't show anything. Nothing in the dropdown and no "Add New" option.
All I get is a few random entries into classes.
I have over the years accumulated several files within a QB account file. I would like to clean this quagmire out and get to just what is needed. One, how can this be done easily? But then I don't know what all the files are and if they have any significance to the account. All I need to do now because of a little OCD cleanup is damage a file/account information. I have attached an image of some files I see. I understand that the .qbw are the file itself. But HomeOffice; Tablet; ND; DSN; TLG? Thanks for the assistance and any other bits of information to keep my files clean, accurate and up to date.
I am trying to Open my Company file on a second computer and having trouble. Both Computers have Inuit Quick books Enterprise Solutions 24.0 Desktop Version. I have the Company File Backed up to Inuit Online Backup, and its in multi-user mode but I cannot find the Company file on the second computer. If its backed up online there should be some way to access the Company file online right?
I changed the Online Delivery option to "HTML" instead of "Online invoice" in the settings since it won't show the estimate dollar amount in the email body. But now it says "invoice" instead of "estimate" in the email body. Help!

My company is transitioning from QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop to QuickBooks Online Advanced. Currently, our process in the desktop version is as follows: A customer calls to place an order.A sales order is created.The sales order template is designed as a packing list.The packing list is emailed to the customer, with the email body referencing the confirmation number (sales order number) as their confirmation.The packing list is also emailed to our shipping party for a third-party software integration.Once the items are shipped in the third-party software, we use that information to generate and send the invoice to the customer from QuickBooks. We also use estimates, which we refer to as quotes, for our customers. A sales order is sometimes generated from a quote, but we never invoice directly from a quote. I am currently testing the online version, and I have noticed that there is no straightforward way to create a sales order and generate a packing list from it.
We recently upgraded to R13, and now Combine Reports from Multiple Companies crashes QuickBooks. We started a chat session with case #15133931094 last week, ran data verify, reset update, and repaired the program install, but nothing worked. After over an hour, we rebooted the server and lost the chat session.I've read many forums here about broken reports in the R13 release, so it feels related. I am new to QB online and do not see an option for customers to have multiple shipping addresses?

I am migrating my QB Online company to Desktop (30 day trial) to see if it better suits my needs. I have tried multiple migrations and regardless of many attempts I am always missing some recaords. These missing records do not fall under the "what doesn't get migrated" category - they are the same as records that do get migrated and they are just missing. I notice during the Desktop Migration process it always stops at 10,000 records. Is there a finite limit to the number of records it can migrate?
Hi, I have read all the online notes about adding journal entries, but I have no journal entry buttons. My husband and I share an account, so permissions are not an issue. So, where is it? I have gone through the chart of accounts and tried to add it through the gear icon. Where is it? thanks,J
I upgraded our Desktop Pro Plus 2022 to Desktop Pro Plus 2024 successfully on my computer where the file is stored. I am running into difficulty upgrading our second computer. After trying many things I was able to get to a window that said to upgrade it - I clicked and it started working, however I have repeatedly gotten the message that says QB Installation failure with error code: ________________________________But there is no code so the only option I have is to click ok and do it again but get the same error code (with no actual code) - any ideas how I can get our other computer upgraded so we can use it? For instance, the imported data didn't carry over the account allocations, particularly for payroll, that will require the allocations to be rebuilt for every employee. I am a volunteer treasurer and don't have the time.

Is Intuit aware of how impractical QuickBooks Online has become? Forms load slowly, pages frequently lag or crash, and closing the books now takes significantly longer. This inefficiency wastes time and money, as more resources are needed to update the books. What steps is Intuit taking to address these issues and will there be any major change in the product? Is QBO Advance faster? I'm reaching a point where some of my clients may need to switch back to QuickBooks Desktop or explore alternative solutions. However, I've also heard that Intuit plans to discontinue the desktop version shortly. Can you confirm this?
The printer I was using for QBs is no more and I need to set up a new one but when I click on PRINTER SETUP in the FILE menu it doesn't do anything. Can anyone help me get a new printer option set up?
