I develop most of my invoices in Excel and import them. Using the old form styles I had flexibility in layout and content. Now that I am using the new form style I can no longer make changes that are sticky and become the default invoice style for my imports. No matter what I do if I import my invoices they look just like the new form 'default' style, none of my edits carryover. I cleared my cache and all the other items I see on the forum but nothing allows me to make edits to the invoice that show up on my imported invoices. Help please.
"Notes" disappear for Non-Inventory Part after entry. They save sometime and disappear at random. I see options for work arounds-however what is the proper function of item "Notes" if I can not enter, well a note for future reference?
Recently our company converted from an LLC to a C-Corp. Each of the three LLC owners, who are now shareholders/officers of the new company, loaned different amounts to the C-Corp to have cash on hand to begin business. The loan checks have been deposited, and now I need to categorize each transaction in QBO to match the bank transaction made. I believe the loans are to be considered long-term liabilities for the account based on the agreed upon terms, however, I am not sure if I need to add/change the vendor/customer entry? In the LLC, when a draw was taken, the entry has us listed as an employee. Will this work or do we need to make a new name for each owner and specify as such? The loans will be accounted under each name as a long-term, my concern is not changing the vendor/customer's name will cause issues.
I use Quickbooks import feature to bring in my sales and expense data from ebay. I have done this for some time and it mostly works perfect. The one thing that doesn't quite work properly is how the ebay fees are imported. It will show both the "final value fees" and "shipping costs" as ebay fees. It does actually split out the advertising expenses as ebay fees advertising. Is there a way that the shipping expense can be dropped into a shipping expense account instead of being show as an ebay fee? My fix up to this point is going through my fees to find what I believe are shipping expenses and changing the account to shipping fees. Not overly complicated but does consume time. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Running into an issue with QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop Silver Edition (minus Payroll) where I'm having issues with data layer security. Followed the instructions in Create data level permissions in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise,Had an open call with Support for over 2hrs this afternoon trying to come to a resolution, appears that this capability has been deprecated in V24, and curious if anyone else is having the same issue. I am trying to limit access to particular Customers in customer center to specific users in our Company.
What are QBO customer service hours to talk to someone over the phone and so screen share? Are they available on the weekends? I need to go over some things and its hard for me to do that when working during the day because of people coming in and out of my office.Thank you.
Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions - 21.0 Does anyone have any links to description of Quickbooks error codes (what they are, how to fix)? Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, there were these things called software manuals that went into great detail about the functionality of the product and gave detailed descriptions of things such as error codes. I've searched the Quickbooks site, Quickbooks Help, and Google all to no avail. Apparently "Error codes" or "Error code list" is too much for Intuit's search to comprehend. Same for "Error 165" or "Error 292". I did a Verify/Rebuild and saw a number of errors on our Rebuild report. This is really frustrating and I hope someone can help as QB support has been 0% on this this far.We are in the process of purchasing a company that currently runs on Quickbooks Enterprise v23 i believe,They want to keep their instance of QB. We have now tried multiple ways and failed in trying to import that data into our instance, We only want to export the last 5 years of data from Enterprise. When I’m categorizing receipts, I am immediately sent back to the dashboard after each one. How do I stop this?!?
I am using QB2016, Windows 10 here. Something occurred last week, not sure what, but suddenly the fonts on screen changed dramatically. The font in the windows looks different than previously and the main issues are some things are too small, or too large. For example, in the Pay Bills window, the checkboxes no longer line up with each bill; some of the labeling in the window is far small than others, and this is in the same window! The popup calendar window is virtually unreadable no matter what; all of the date numbers crash together, overlapping slightly. There are myriad other issues like this thruout the application.I tried resetting the display sizing, but that changes everything for every application and QB is the only one affected by this, so it's the only one I desire to change. I also tried changing the display settings by right-clicking the QB icon and changing things under the Advanced tab. But then everything became too huge.&
I'm running Desktop Pro 2016 on Windows 10 and really don't have a need to upgrade Quickbooks at this time. I would like to, however, upgrade to Windows 11. Has anyone had success in running an older version of Quickbooks on Windows 11? Many thanks
We sometimes create invoices that are not yet ready for sending out to the customer. The problem here is that in some instances, we end up creating duplicates of the same invoices and send out one without realizing we have a second one that was a draft of the one sent out. Ultimately we end up with 2 invoices showing up on the A/R report that shows one that was sent and one that is actually a duplicate "in progress" draft invoice. We'd like to be able to mark our invoices that are not sent yet as DRAFT so they don't show up on A/R reports. Can this be done? Ultimately when the draft invoice is sent out, it becomes an actual invoice and only one will show up on a report. In essence, we'd like to see invoices treated like emails. If you create an email and don't send it, it becomes a draft email. It stays that way until it is sent, which then takes it out of draft mode and puts it in the Sent mail. Hello, we have created a new company and want to import our chart of accounts from the old company. When I go to gear icon/export data/ (all dates are chosen) lists/ the chart of accounts is not an option. All I get is customers, vendors, and employees. How do I access the export for the chart of accounts? Thanks.
Client mistakenly did a backup last week which somehow condensed all of the 2024 work- nothing is on the bank registers . There isn't a recent backup to restore - I learned he does not do regular backups . He wants to move to QBO - would the migration from QBDT include the condensed 2024 work? what is the best solution to get this work back or is entering manually the only way?
so we have QB Enterprise 2023 on desktop PC's and we are having problems with one of the computers (slave) not connecting with the server (mine). we are connected through a router/modem hardwired and the slave computer keeps getting a message saying to have the server be in multi user mode - which it always is. Sometimes we have to shut down both computers then it (slave) will connect, we have also tried putting my QB in single user mode for a few minutes then change back to multi user mode, then the slave will connect????? any ideas on why the slave keeps losing connection with the server??? thank you in advance for any advice.
Hello, I've been using Quickbooks Desktop for quite some time and closed out my books for 2023. Now I want to migrate to Quickbooks Online. I have made sure my Intuit account is setup, with all my info and a valid credit card on file, but I simply can't can't choose a product or subscription. I keep getting this error. You can't add QuickBooks Online Simple Start to Premier Coding Solutions Inc. with your existing subscription. What is the resolution to this? I want to use Quickbooks Online for 2024 and moving forward. Thank you,Andres
Our HOA just added QB AP module. I have been placed in charge, as a board member, to implement this module. However, when I go to set it up the third step requests personal information on the person setting up the module, such as name, address, etc plus social security number. I am an unpaid board member and do not want to share this information. How do we handle this? ThanksSteven
After years of using QB, I now cannot create new invoices without memorizing them, and then I cannot edit memorized invoices. I only get a message that the operation cannot be completed and there is no further information about it. Also I constantly get a message that I'm in View only mode, and I need to renew my subscription. I am using desktop version for Mac. Getting to be the point that I'm ready to ditch the QB and look for entirely different solution.

Today I updated to Quickbooks Desktop V31.0 R12. It has changed how receipts are printing (but only credit card receipts). It is now adding an additional page with "Payment services brought by: Intuit Payments Inc." details at the bottom of my preset template. The template still works for cash transactions and the top of the credit card transactions. Where can I remove the printing of this new "page 2?There is nothing in the template customization to remove this new printing of Intuit details at the bottom. Nor does it show up in the template preview. Images what is now printing is attached.
I own a single short term rental property that is titled to my LLC.For now, I plan to use a property management/listing company (Evolve) to list on all the platforms, take the bookings, and remit the payout/profit to me. Evolve pays the platform (Airbnb), keeps 10% and remits the balance to me. The balance payout are the collected occupancy taxes, cleaning fee and my profit. How do I best set up this company in QuickBooks Desktop? Specifically, I'm referring to Customers, Vendors, Classes, Items, Services and Expenses. Thank you.
