It's my first time using QB to receive a payment
HI there, I have a vendor that has sent me an invoice for her services for all of 2022 in 2023. How can I enter her invoice in so that a 1099 will print out for 2022 and not 2023. When I experimented with another vendor, the payment I cut that was for a 2022 expense is showing as a 2023, 1099 payment. I have the date on the check as 12/31/2022, but the check date shows as today, 1/4/23 and therefore shows as a 2023 item. Thanks so much. Carrie
The company I order my inventory from recently started a sponsored savings account. Basically, for every "Widget A" I order, they charge an extra $10 that goes into a company savings account for me. I am able to use the money I deposited for company functions, conferences, supplies, etc.. No interest is accrued on the account; what I put into it is what I have, no more, no less. I am not sure how to enter this extra charge on the PO into my QB. Because of the type of account it is, I would like to track the contribution to the account, and expense out the withdrawals. I am using company money to fund the account so it would not be considered a member contribution. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
we have had $80K in funds from our merchant account held by intuit for nearly 2-months.i have spoken to support a dozen times, received several case numbers and escalations but we have never got an update or seen the funds released.this is completely unacceptable and we need some kind of resolution ASAP.Apparently the Risk Department are the ones who review but we cannot speak to them and they do not reach out. Surely they could review the case during an 8-week time frame....We need answers immediately. please help
Hi everyone, I have a company where we have roughly 250 monthly payments from recurring invoices sent to them via QB, the issue we're having is that the rules are not working the way we would like them to, when the rule is applied the transaction is categorised and not matched, this then shows that the client's balance as 0.00 but they are still overdue, does anyone know if there is a way that QB can automatically match the payment to the client's account against the last invoice? On the screenshot, the red is what the rule does and the blue is when it's done manually. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Have an awesome day.
We have been using qb payroll for some time now and when we applied for quickbooks payment so that we can use quickbooks for receivables we got denied for the merchant, account. Now the question now is, can we hire a bookkeeper that will help us receive our payment on invoices and how did that work? Thank you
Hello. I need help. I have 2 businesses where we pay and invoice each other in house. So Business B took a loan from business A. Business B invoices A and receives payments for services monthly. As an example say the invoice is a total of $60,000. Business A writes a check for $40,000 to pay the invoice while the rest of the $20,000 goes towards the loan that B owes A. So that way we don't have to write multiple checks. Can someone please tell me how I would record this the correct way into Quickbooks DESKTOP?
Hi - I have a separate business bank account that handles all income / expenses for my Short Term Rental property, but my Zelle is the one thing tied to my personal bank account. I have been paying my cleaner the cleaning fees via Zelle on my personal account this year. What is the best way to record this transaction in QB? Do I need to link my personal bank account for these transactions or can I do it without linking? Thanks.
We have an old outstanding AP balance comprising 3 months of healthcare premiums where the vendor issued an unsolicited large credit that they just confirmed yesterday is valid. As we were unsure if the surprise credit provided us would be revoked by the vendor, we conservatively allowed the outstanding AP balance to remain until the credit issued was resolved. We now need to eliminate the AP but need to retain all prior expenses posted to create the AP balance as they're legitimate healthcare premiums incurred and were already allocated to numerous grants currently closed. Currently, the aged AP detail needs to be cleared and the AP balance needs to be reclassed to likely an unearned revenue account. We'll ignore that this is a prior period adjustment for now, but this may come into play with the auditor. I'm new to QB and don't know if we can do a JE to reclass the AP overall balance (for the unsolicited credit provided) to Unearned Revenue and then issue some kind of vendor record c
I have created some recurring invoices for my tenants and when I go to review them in "invoices" I do not see them there. Am I doing something wrong?
How to accept payments
My insurance company has given me credit on my account. My payments are made via payroll liabilities.I now have a vendor credit that needs to be applied to an ACH deduction in my checking account. How is this completed?Thank you for your time and attention.
Why is my account still on hold
Hello, I had a customer pay an invoice through PayPal and I recorded the sale as a PayPal sale so that QB would automatically record the fee and net invoice amount (which it did nicely). However, now my P&L is showing a line for "PayPal Sales" as well as a line for my regular sales, and recording the invoices on both lines. I recorded the net deposit in my bank account as a transfer from the PayPal bank so I don't think I can just exclude transactions from somewhere but I'm not exactly sure. Please let me know if you can help, I need to remove the duplicate transactions either from PayPal or my regular sales. Thank you!Ian
Quickbooks Time is adding sales tax to our bill and we are tax exempt. How do I resolve this issue? they don't give a link on the email with the bill, nor a phone number. I called the main Intuit number but got disconnected and I know if I get through they won't be able to help me. They rarely can.
I would like to print a bill that I created in Quick Books online, I have the essential package. I used to be able to print them in the Desktop Premier addition. Thanks
I have the same issue. I have 3 credit payments on hold. QB has held a check payment since Dec 8 2022 from a 20 year client!!!! This is unacceptable!!!! It’s impacting my business and my clients are bothered by this poor payment service. If it’s not resolved this year I will stop using the QB billing service. There is no one to talk to. Another poor service.
Hello QB community! A vendor bill was accidentally paid twice. The vendor credited the balance to our company's account on their end (no refund will be issued). How do I change the second payment in QBO to a vendor credit? Thank you for your help!

Hi all, I hope some of you can help me. I've been using qbo for a few years and have not had this issue as follows. I usually record a payment from my connected bank and match it to an invoice, and after that the income changes on the dashboard page. The other day I received a payment in the usual way and the income didn't increase. I have since had a few more, and they didn't increase it either. Can anyone tell me why and how to make it alter the income. I've been scratching my head for 3 weeks and can't find anyone on here with this issue. ThanksJames
Uploaded bills in QB are not showing up for payment.
I need help. We have 8 transactions over a period of two days in September for a total of $18k+ that were deposited into an old QB account. We realized the error on 10/3 and reached out to Quickbooks right away to have the error corrected. We were told that QB had to open a "back room investigation" within the QuickBooks system and all we could do was wait. On 10/11 we called again the the representative "escalated" our issue and said I should have an email within a week with an update. No such emails have ever been forthcoming.Fast forward almost 90 days, a multitude of phone calls, and as of this afternoon we are still in "investigation" but not we have to "re-escalate" it to make the process "much faster" because it has been so long the last escalation period has ended. This is absolutely beyond unacceptable! The Payments team is not a fault, but neither are they helpful. They are a frontline barrier to nowhere that can only repeat to me that I have no options but to wait for th
Dec 16th a vendor made 2 $29k payments (since there is a max and we have to split up payments). This vendor is also an owner of the company receiving the payment. It cleared his account 12/19 and he does not have access to that money. They refuse to give it back to him, and refuse to complete their review. We had to go get a loan to cover payroll.. not just any payroll.. freaking Christmas payroll. This will def be a lifelong Intuit grudge. Absolutely ludicrous
according to the help area, I found that it takes 3 business days for bank transfers (ACH) if under $100K and sent before 11:30 AM. "Payments are only processed once a day before 11:30am EST. Any payments submitted after this time will only start processing the following business day" Why is it that if I send a payment before 11:30 AM EST on Monday, the payment doesn't arrive until Thursday? Shouldn't it arrive on Wednesday, according to this? Thank you.
