I accidentailly added in materials rembursment in to one of my sub contractors 1099s. I have corrected the transactions but when I try to submit it I get this error: Correcting the recipient name or TIN is currently unavailable. We are actively working to enable this feature. I am not trying to change the name or TIN. Does anyone know what to do?
Trying to be cost effective. If I charge a security payment and pay the 3% transaction fee is that 3% refunded to me when I refund their security deposit? Is there a way to hold funds on a customers card but not actually withdrawl the funds and pay a fee unless necessary? If all goes to plan I shouldn't have to take any monies from security deposits.
Hello, I am trying to reconcile an account but cannot figure out why I have a difference. The account says there's a difference of $61,661.66 I went through and manually checked each transaction. The account state shows 188 payments and 89 deposits. Same as what QB shows. The only thing I can think of is if an older transaction was changed from (C) cleared status to (R) reconciled? The account doesn't have any discrepancies but still shows this difference. I checked the activity log to see if I could trace which transactions would have caused this but it doesn't show those kind of edits. is there anyway I could create a journal entry to fix this issue?
I use tags to categorize bank and credit card transactions into different budget buckets. With tags going away I have tried to add a custom field, but have had no luck. Is there a way to add custom fields to bank transactions for all my company expenses? If not, is there another mechanism to achieve the same outcome as tags do currently in banking transactions?
how do I get my gl and a/r aging summary reports to download as excel files? they did until last week
QuickBooks calculates our state unemployment insurance at the correct rate, but it does not round the total as our state does. E.g., QuickBooks totals all UI liabilities to $494.78, but my state only charges me $494. This creates a discrepancy of <$1 every quarter. Consequently, I cannot reconcile that account, and our payroll tax center shows multiple small overpayments. What is the best practice to account for these past payments? How should I record these going forward? Should I mark that item as paid, then go and edit the amount in the payroll tax center's payment history? This has allowed me to match my bank transactions to the UI payments, but it leads to the aforementioned reconciliation and overpayment issue.
I am trying to reconcile my Quickbook Checking Account using my statement from Green Dot/ QB. I use the envelopes heavily, transferring money into/out of envelopes. When I download the statement and try to reconcile, the downloaded statement includes the envelope transfers but the reconcile report in QB does not. I am not sure how to reconcile since they do not match. Suggestions?
This can be done in Desktop. Haven't been able to find in Online.
Not sure where else to go but I thought I would put this here in case anyone else has experienced this. I have worked as a freelancer and used Quickbooks Online to get paid by a client for work that I did back in November 2024. After receiving the invoice from my client and when trying to access it, it stated I wasn't verified to access my funds and have been withheld since. I have spoken to at least 20 representatives including sending emails back and forth trying to access my money. The error that I continue to get which I have repeated multiple times is that the link to send my docs to verify myself are stating that I am either all caught up and I don't need to update anything. I had my case escalated more than once and had mainly been in contact with a supervisor named Chanda who had advised to me that the reason why my case had been going on for so long was that the link that was sent to me to verify my information was actually from a completely different department so not only wa
Quickbooks app is not opening. I have uninstalled and reinstalled
For users that have Quickbooks Desktop roles that require an Intuit account linked to their email id, in a new deployment, the window which would normally display a login prompt is just hour glassing. This was not happening at the previous site/deployment where Quickbooks users worked. My proxy team reports that no internet traffic is being blocked. While I am skeptical of this, I'm wondering if the QB community or engineers have any experience with this issue.
When we create customer statements, we select 'All customers' and 'Do not create statesments: with a zero balance'. When we click 'Print' an error comes up that says: Quickbooks encountered errors while creating statement. This may be because of selecting too many customers. Try reducing the number of customers selected (Max of 4500) and create statements We only have a dozen or so customers with a non-zero balance. Is there a way to fix this without selecting 'Multiple customers' and selecting customers manually? We are using Quickbooks Enterprise 23. We were previously using Enterprise 20 and this message did not come up.
QBDT Pro 2023Looking for suggestions on handling the entry of bills, tracking due dates, and recording payment of vendors who are on auto-pay (normally drafted from our account). I prefer entering the bill for tracking and budget review purposes rather than simply writing checks without printing them, but would like to hear of some options that the community has used to simplify while keeping the GL current. Thanks in advance.
showing an invoice paid after the deposit is already entered
None of our employees received their 2023 W2 that were SUPPOSEDLY sent out by Intuit. Has anyone else had this issue? I have had SO MANY PROBLEMS by setting up QBO to handle tax filings automatically this past year.
So that I can schedule that job to the employee who will be working closer to the customer location
