I have two customers set up with multiple jobs under each. The parent company (not set up as a customer) is now making one payment for both customers & jobs. How do I apply this payment to multiple customers & jobs? Is it best to merge the customers? If I set up the parent company as a new customer and merge the two existing customers into the new customer do I lose any prior year transactions? After the merge will I see the existing jobs under the new customer? Thanks for the help
Hi. I received one payment from a cental billing that covers various invoices AND credit memo deductions, from different customers. It is easy to apply the invoices - but how to I apply the credit memo deductions to make the bank deposit work? All payments and credit memos are from different customers. Total bank deposit $500 from feeds. It covers Invoice 2 - Customer A - $750, Invoice 4 - Customer B - $750, credit memo 4 - customer C - $1000. I am using QBO. Thanks.
An Excel question since we are frequently told to export to Excel to use that to create reports that QB doesn't provide a way to do .... when using Conditional Formatting, how do you identify a blank cell. I am trying to highlight all BLANK cells in a column with a color to identify all items that need to be updated with the correct non-blank data. But I don't seem to be able to identify "blank" cells. Does anyone know how to ID cells that contain no data? PDF image below.
I just heard from a vendor who I sent a Bill Pay payment to yesterday. Her notification says it will be there by the 21st. Does it really take a week to send an electronic transfer?!?
It's not any of the 401, 403... options that the existing QBO Payroll deduction/contribution options provide for. The Company Paid plan doesn't allow pre-tax for both the company contribution and the employee deduction. Prior QBO help suggested "faking" it in under a Health Plan since those can be set up as pre-tax, but the issue becomes a major EOY tax reporting problem. Thank you for your consideration of this issue.
File would include check #, $ amount, check date and Payee name on the check.

I have no transactions left to review and my other two cars are marked as inactive. My current car is marked as the primary vehicle and has the date and make/model filled out.
Our Case is: [removed by a moderator]. We were told we would get an update on April 14. This never happened. The Copy function runs for days then fails. This occurred on 3/23, 3/29, and 4/5. Finally, one ran to "success" after running several days on 4/6. But since so much time had passed, and the data did not appear to match with the source (we were uncertain about that), we started another Backup and this past weekend. The backup took over 40 hours. At this moment, the Copy process has been running for over 48 hours and has been stuck at 75% progress for more than 24 hours. This is simply not acceptable. A backup and copy function should be a straight forward process. If there is a problem, a customer should not be left hanging for almost a month!
I am new to online quickbooks and was entering bank statement transactions manually, and i put most of this stuff in as journal entry versus expense or checks. How do I fix?
I make recurring pretax deferrals and matching contributions to my Solo 401(k). I don't see any way to enter that into Quickbooks self employed transactions. What do I do? These contributions would lower my income taxes, but not my FICA/FUTA.

How do I provide proof QB Bill Payment (paper check) to a vendor? They want a copy of the physical check and of course, I don't have that.

I subscribe through apple. When I finished my taxes, it was asking me to pay $288. I already pay $450 for quickbooks. When I called they said that Turbo Tax and Quickbooks are different companies and I would have to talk to Quickbooks. They also said that the only version of self employed Turbo Tax is a "live" version.
I am trying to file for an extension in Turbo Tax and I need someone to help reconnect my bank accounts in Quickbooks Online to freshen up the transaction list, and help me estimate my income for 2024 and file an extension.
I'm not sure if this is something the community can help with, but Quickbooks support isn't giving me an option to chat or call. I've done some contracting work with a client. They use QuickBooks self-employed to deliver 1099s. I received an email stating that I had a 1099 to view. I've clicked that link several times on several browsers. It leads me to sign in to Intuit, and then shows me a blank page with no information. It says Client List and nothing else. I need this 1099 for my taxes (it's self-employment income, so I owe taxes on it!) so if anyone has any suggestions to fix this it would be very appreciated!
