Trying to edit the layout of a report I save as an excel spread. How can I sort my A/R Aging Detail report in order of descending invoice number? First row the lowest number, last row the highest.
Not all of my transactions from my bank account crossed over to quickbooks. How can I transfer them without having to manually add each one?
The quantity should be before the item.
The owner had a list of items he wanted to receive as deductions and/or reimbursements to the funds he used through the business for investments, donations, contractor payments, purchased vehicles, starting another business, starting a non-profit, etc. all before I came on. I was not the person in the role when some of these happened but I was at the end of the year. The CPA told me to add as a journal entry but for some reason, that buttom or pathway was not available from my access/plan level. I tried contacting QBO for help but was unsuccessful. Everything they tried to tell me to do was only accessible via the accountant's view. How can I make these corrections so that the balance shows accuracy and evens out, instead of it looking like there's over 300k in 'unrecorded' deposits. I told the accountant that this was the only way to enter each transaction into the QBO account for the business and she was supposed to fix everything so that it leveled out but did not and just left it t
I did a reconciliation ending 12/31/2023. But when I checked my report I noticed that Jan, Feb and March 2024 line items were also in the reconciliation. I have already gone to the chart of accounts and register and unmarked the Jan, Feb and March transactions however I would like to now proceed with completing the 2023 reconciliation and also starting Jan, Feb and March 2024 reconciliations. I have attached a screen shot - how do i fix this? The 6016. 40 discrepancy is from the transactions this year ... how do i closeout 2023? Thank you, Sharon
Hello community -- I'm really struggling with reporting in QBO. I used to use QB Desktop for Mac, and it was easy to make custom transaction detail reports. I'm simply trying to make a transaction detail report by Project showing all the client invoices and vendor invoices that have been assigned to a project -- thus determining where I am in the budget. The existing project profitability summary is not useful as I use a WIP account in order to track my pass-through expenses from vendors (QBO does not recognize these as expenses since they are in a B/S account). I would greatly appreciate some guidance on how to build a custom transaction detail report -- I can't figure it out or find the option in QBO. Thank you!Liza
Example: I typed out a massive line of detail but noticed a typo. I click into the line where I want to edit and it automatically highlights all of the text and when I go to type, it deletes it all. The only way to avoid saving it is to cancel but now at that point, I will lose everything ive done.
I use the "Name" column and I want to be able to have XYZ show up before ABC automatically. Right now, I have to manually move each ABC entry after XYZ if both entries are for the same date. If I add more time and re-sort in date order, I have to manually move the entries again. Huge time waster on a 15 page invoice.
How do I generate a profit summary for last year for one particular produce/service?
Why do the COGS not show on the sales by item report but they do appear in the P&L?
The phone number shows under business, but no name. The contact name shows with the phone number in billing address. I need the Company Name on the invoice.
