The owner of the company I work for took a reduction in her salary to help with cash flow in the company. I need to be able to record this as a "loan" to the company (that will eventually be paid back) but since no actual funds came into the company, I'm lost on how to record this. My thought was I show the full salary when entering her paychecks, then do the reduction applied to the long term loan liability which would make the paycheck accurate, but then does that show her gross pay being more than it should be? I'm just lost here.
Has anyone had issues with certain PayPal transactions not being confirmed. I get an “please select an account” error when the correct account is already selected. I disconnected and reconnected my PayPal and the issue just multiplied! Now I have over 300 transactions that I can NOT confirm because of some “select an account” Can someone please help me!
Hello! I'm trying to get to the bottom of a discrepancy between the Gross Income reporting on Square and the P&L for the same time frame on QBO for a client of ours, we do some basic bookkeeping for them and have Square integrated with QBO. The client also has her business checking account with Square as well. Square is showing a Gross Income of about $209,201 and on the P&L the Total Income is $200,548. We bring deposits/sales receipts using the App Transactions tab. Nothing is missing from her bank account, everything is reconciled so we're not missing any funds coming over. Something is happening within Quickbooks that is not showing all of the income on the P&L. Does anyone have any experience with this that can assist? Any ideas on what I should be looking for?

I currently have a bank account that was used for the two businesses I own and I know which transactions are for each company but I don't know how to account for the transactions. Do I exclude the transactions for company 2 on company 1's quickbooks account and do the same on company 2's account? Or will that affect the reconciliation and bank account balances? How else could I deal with this?Thanks!

Greetings, I have a product 'WIDGET' that I have been selling as a Non-Inventory part, though I do keep a loose count of. Historically, associated value between between CASH, INVENTORY ASSET, and COGS has been accomplished at EoM with General Journal entry. Assuming that I have $100 worth of this item sitting in INVENTORY ASSET account, how can I associate this value with 100 units as a Stock Item so that QuickBooks can start managing COGS transfer automatically during the Invoicing process? I was forced to the new Invoice Layout today at 1pm. I am still using the old invoice layout for printing and emailing, however the Invoice Data Entry screen is all new and no longer shows the Ship Via, Ship Date, and Tracking Number fields. Why were these removed?

I want to have my estimates show the sales price of my item, as shown in the entry on the item list, and then the total price for the quantity listed. For some reason it refuses to do this. I also want the heading on the upper right to say "Order" rather than "Estimate." It doesn't want to do that, either. Let me add that Layout Designer is so buggy as to be almost useless. Please consider addressing this.
Indented columns missing from QB Online Profit & Loss Report for sub accounts and totals
Possible to get a list of customers filtered by the last invoice date? I'd like to find all of my customers who have (or have not) made a purchase within a given time frame -- e.g., find all customers whose last invoice date is before 2019. Every solution I've seen described is for QuickBooks Online -- is there any way to do this in Desktop? (I'm using QB Desktop Pro 2020)
