From desktop and app the same message appears and will not allow me to create an invoice. Which I do at least 100 invoices weekly. This is a huge problem!
Checks cut through quickbooks but not applied to bills for bills were entered at a later date.
Unable to create invoices for customers
It appears there used to be a way to do this through the invoice list report - showing the sent column as well as through the transaction history - showing the send date Is there no longer a way to tell if an invoice has been sent to the customer and when the last date it was sent was?
I set someone up as a vendor but they are actually a contractor. How can I move the data from vendor to contractor?

I am looking to generate reports that show expenses organized by customer. For example, we have an invoice from "Builder Company A" for work done on the "John Doe" new home project. I have assigned the vendor/contractor as "Builder Company A" and have chosen "John Doe" as the customer, then saved it. However, I cannot find any report that shows what I'm looking for. I want to see all expenses I've noted as being for "John Doe's" project so I can see the total amount we've spent on that project. Can anyone help with this?
My Sales by Customer Detail report shows correct data and formatting on the screen but it will not print or export the same. I have the report grouped by Sales Tax Name, I have updated my Chrome browser, and ran it Incognito with no luck. The original data shown had incorrect sales tax details. I updated each transaction to reflect the correct sales tax item. I have saved this report and updated it and it still prints with the original old data.
I am looking for a report to will show me the cost of goods that haven't been assigned to the customers project. Quickbooks desktop had this feature, I just can't figure it out for Quickbooks online. My end result here, is to ensure all COGS expenses have been accurately captured for each project.
It has just come to my attention when creating an invoice from an estimate that I no longer have the ability to link a billable expense to an invoice and choose the option to delete the line but keep the billable expense linked as I have done for the last 4.5 years. Nor does the documentation from the linked billable expense populate as an attachment on the invoice I link it to. We use progress invoicing so our invoices are created from the estimate. Often times, a subcontractors invoice we receive will be "buried" in one of our line items so I need to be able to link the invoice but not necessarily have it as a separate line item. I was able to achieve this until the "new invoice experience". Please help!
What scanner should I purchase to scan invoices and documents into QB enterprise?
We frequently look at a report in QBO with subtotals, but the only entries we're interested in are those for whom the subtotal is not zero. Is this possible to do in QBO reporting? If not, it would be a great feature. To give some context about the specific report we're looking at ... it's essentially a transaction report of all transactions that occur in our customer pre-payment/deposit liability account. It details all customer pre-payment/deposit transactions. Most of of our customers have paid us a deposit at one time or another, but 95% have either been refunded or have had the deposit applied against a final payment. So 95% of our customers have a zero pre-payment/deposit balance. We're trying to identify those customers who do NOT have a zero balance. The only way we can figure out how to do this is to sorting and subtotaling this report by customer, and then scroll through the thousands of customers who have a zero balance to find those few who have a non-zero balance
As an admin, I created a custom report. I clicked Share. It says "Visible to anyone with access to report.". However, I had a user go to Reports and though they can see it in the list, when they click on it, it says "Permission denied". How do I give a role "access to report"? Note that this test report literally just lists the names of all projects.
I sell limited edition prints that are numbered. The computer desktop version could do this. I would be able know what the next number should be by the reports generated from this information.
How can I grant a role permissions to any/all of the "What you owe" reports? It has a big X where the checkbox should be. I have tried checking EVERY box in EVERY section to see if there's a prerequisite somewhere, but this section all still retains Xs. I would upload a screenshot, but I can't, which is cool.
