I'm taking over as treasurer for a small non-profit organization. The current treasurer has characterized our organization as a for-profit company in QB 2020 Desktop. I prefer to use the non-profit version of QB desktop. How do I convert our organization's data?
Mine has been running 2 hours and is still going. I don't even want a back up. I am trying to copy the company but it won't let me without backing up first.
We calculate the cost for our vinyl by square footage and would like to be able to use QuickBooks in estimates and invoicing to get away from using multiply programs
I am using Self Employed.I just relocated to a new state, and consequently am going to need to split profit/loss mid-year.I created a Schedule C for 1/1-6/1/22 that I will use at tax time. Now I need to for all intents and purposes "start fresh," so have excluded all transactions prior to 6/1. Or so I thought.They all still show up in my Profit and Loss Reports, which yes I know i can view in a custom date range, but the real problem is that the tax summary for Schedule C just shows for the whole year. Is there any way to REALLY get rid of all excluded transactions from these reports so that I don't have to manually subtract Q1 and Q2 from Q3/Q4 at tax time?
I manage my dad's QBO. He has invested in a couple apartment complexes and assisted living facilities as well as shares in 2 other companies. How do I set these up in the COA and how do I set up income accounts for them?

I followed the instruction in the demo video and turned off the radio to off, and refreshed the browser. I even logged out and did it all over again after logging back in. The dark mode theme is still present.
I purchase marketing products from a wholesale supplier and then sell the product to my customer.I usually do all the work, I send it to my vendor to print, and the vendor bills me for it and sends me the actual product. For example, customers order business cards from me then I send over the order to my vendor. I receive the invoice from my vendor.The business cards I purchased from my vendor were $200 and $10 freight. Where would the $200 that I paid to my vendor fall in the Purchase of Goods or the Cost of goods sold? Or if there is an example of a chart of accounts you can direct me to, that would be much appreciated. thanks
I would like to know how to create an automatic customer number for all of my current customers. I know you can do it manually by adding an account number to each customer but I would like it to populate a number to each customer automatically. We are using 2020 Desktop pro, I found how to do it in the online version but the tool bars are not the same and after hours of searching I am at a lose. Thank you in advance for any help.

Try saving again."Only answer I received from QBs Team states QB is working to resolve the issue, and no specific time frame yet for resolution.This has been ongoing since Friday. Hope it's resolved soon. It's costing my business potentially $500 per day.Please advise.Thank You

Missing check payees and descriptions for other transactions after installing Desktop Pro 21 and then performing bank reconciliations. Staff is manually typing in missing payees and descriptions. Why did this happen? How can this glitch/error be fixed? I’m afraid to do another reconciliation. What do I do?
I have been using Quickbooks for over 30 years, but I am getting frustrated with simple tasks that seem to go crazy. The latest is with Data Protect. First, if I don't backup within 2 days, it drops me from the system and I have to "log off" and re-enroll in the data protect process before it will back up my files. The second is that sometimes, even though I back up the files, the program or routine doesn't recognize the fact that the files were backed up. Case today: I backed up this morning. I decided to backup again at 5:30 p.m. When I started the backup process, the data protect screen showed the last backup as yesterday. It was the same in the history. But I know I backed it up this morning. What is going on?
I do not want time invoiced. I just want to get record of the time and not have it invoiced. Please help. those time invoices are frustrating.
Our QB desktop is setup using our previous accountant's payroll services, since they used to run our payroll for us. We no longer use this accountant, therefore I need to remove their payroll services from our QB and set up a new payroll service. I recently bought QB 2022 desktop with 1 yr of payroll. How do I unlink our account's payroll service account and set up our own?
