We deposited $1155.27 on 8/15/22. The bank cleared it as $1155.36. It is now November and we are just trying to reconcile August. How do we note this error and correct it so we can reconcile August thru October and then when the bank makes the correction what is the correct action?I understand that I can add a "bank error" line to the deposit and add the $.09 and clear it in the reconciliation, but then what is the correct action when the bank makes the correction? Another change in a deposit? That doesn't seem like a very clean way to do it.
How do I split a bank deposit thru bank feed - which consists of 2 or more checksto give an example - deposit in bank is for $40,000 via bank feed. The amount consists of 2 checks - one from a customer for $35600 (with Invoice #....) and the other is towards rental income for $4,400 (for which there is no specific invoice). I would like to "receive" the $35,600 against the customer invoice and "add" the $4,400 to rental income.How do I do that ?
I have purged my QBO to start from scratch and now my linked bank accounts are not showing any transactions. I wanted to completely restart so I can categorize my accounts properly now I’m completely lost. How can I fix this issue
Just made the change from QB Desktop (Mac) to QB Online and started a QB Checking account to take advantage of the immediate deposits. I have tried probably over 50 times to send a check or use Bill Pay from my QB Checking account on my Mac (on Safari-- my default browser), on my iPhone and iPad in the QB app and it doesn't work . A new window opens and 4 blue circles keep spinning and nothing happens. Can stay like that indefinitely. Tried it on my Mac through Chrome, though, and it worked. Anyone else having issues using their Quickbooks Checking account in the QB iOS apps or in Safari? The whole idea of switching to QB Online (other than Intuit basically forcing us to!) was so I can access my QB company data from any device, but if I can't use this checking account in their own app then what's the point. I do not want to be a prisoner to Chrome or to my laptop. TIA!
Income is simple to confirm so I don't believe the discrepancy is from income.

We receive a check from a customer which equals our sales for the month less the monthly rent that we pay for space there. I want to create a sales receipt for the TOTAL sales and an expense for the rent. How can I do this and still be able to match the bank deposit?
I downloaded that app and followed the steps but I think it's not set up for me to deposit checks on my mobile device
Hello, I'm helping a charity get set up with QBO. We have one physical office, and our finance committee and accountants are volunteers scattered across the US.This means all our supporting documents need to be available inside QBO.We have a large amount of incoming paper checks coming to the office; I am looking for a way to scan them into QBO at time of receipt, so that we can process it then and there.I have thought of the following thoughts:1) I have read about the ability to scan a receipt and it generates an expense; and this is simply the reverse of that; like scanning a sales receipt rather than a purchase receipt.2) On that note - is there a facility to scan (or email) an incoming PO? Because we could also process this as an incoming PO.Any ideas?Thanks
I am using QB Desktop Pro 2020. When I select a transaction in the Bank Reconciliation module; QB selects multiple items rather than the one transaction selected. I am unable to complete a reconciliation. Has anyone else encountered this issue?
My bank was renamed last April. I started building my business last month, and noticed that invoices, payments, and transactions were not syncing between my bank and Quickbooks. I called my bank. This is a known issue with several other banking clients, and the bank has reached out several times to Quickbooks with no response. Is there anyway to get someone at Quickbooks to review the issue and support it to be resolved? Beside the amazing elements of Quickbooks for my small business, I chose this platform because of the convenient banking feature. For the $50/month for this service, I don't see the cost effectiveness of my having to download and upload reports to reconcile. Any insights?
Hey there. I recently started bookkeeping and took over the books for a small business that I work for. The previous bookkeeper left the checking account greatly overstated. 20k difference. I have a couple of questions. The months were all reconciled, but the QBO balance is way off, can you reconcile with that being the case? Currently, the owner receives payments and deposits them into one account. However part of this amount is owed to a client, and he keeps a portion. He deposits the portion that is his to the checking account and leaves the remainder in the other account. He records his portion through a sales receipt, though up until last month was recording it as an invoice, so he can send it to clients to show the portion that was his that he kept. What is best practice for recording these? Since the transfers are the payments for the customers accounts, Could it be tracking the transfer and the payment as two separate occurrences and thus showing a much gre
After September 27th of this year I was no longer able to connect to Chase Bank through Quickbooks Desktop Premiere 2021. I deleted all of our bank and credit card accounts and re-added them. QB says the connection was successful but there are no bank transactions in the bank feeds section and when I run a P&L for the month there is nothing there. Is anyone else having this issue? I also updated QB and re-added the accounts again but got the same problem. QB says that it's downloading the transactions but they are nowhere to be found.
Last month Intuit had us switch our Bank Feeds to "New" banks they added. I've re-added them several times because nothing seems to be working correctly! While this affects Chase, Bank of America is such a complete cluster I'd debated NOT using Bank Feeds at all because of all the frustration and extra work that must be done to get our accounts to match. Here are some of our issues: None of our rules are being applied. I keep updating, but none of them are being applied. It's almost like QB doesn't even know we have rules for the entries to be matched too. Our manual entries are no longer being matched to the feeds.If I send a check out on the 1st, but it's not cashed until the 14th, why does the system no longer recognize the check and match it? While in the bank feeds transaction lists for my credit card transactions- I am in the auto-matched section and have items checked off that are correctly matched. So I then click "batch actions", then "add/approve"... nothing happens. The transactions stay there. The only way to get them to disappear from my list is to hit "ignore". Why are these particular ones not adding, it doesn't happen with all of my transactions, only a few sometimes. I tried doing it from batch actions at the bottom of the screen as well as the action on the right side of the screen per line item...neither of them remove these particular transactions. This happens with 2 different credit card accounts. Any idea why this would happen to only some of my transactions?I've attached a screen capture for reference.
