Hi,My business partner and I closed our business bank account and opened a new one. On the same day I updated quick books with the new bank account but was unaware that i also had to change the preferences telling quick books which account to deposit the money into. So now paid invoices were deposited into the closed account, (dont know how since it was closed).Anyways, i went to the bank and the the bank teller said that the money is in the process of being returned to quick books. My question is, does quick books automatically update when the funds have been received and send it to the new account? Or do i have to do something?

Quickbooks Pro 2022 desktop - I have been trying to record deposits into the checkbook register and credit the customer invoice. MANY PROBLEMS with this. 1. The Add More Details used to have the option to apply the deposit to the customer invoice - that feature is GONE! 2. Received from (enter customer name), then From Account used to be "Undeposited Funds" - no longer available. I can select from account "Accounts Receivable". 3. Older deposits (b4 Desktop 2022) Receive Payment window opens showing deposit transaction. - New deposits. ...ETC. After several calls to Customer Support and many hours over 3 days, I still can't find an answer. Seems we are BETA testing!!!
In Transactions, credit cards that have been processed no longer show the payee name. When we match, we have to go by the amount. They show up in the Bank Deposit section, but in the Bank Register, the payee name is blank and there is no option to manually add it. This is a problem that started about a month ago. ALL the names going back to the beginning have vanished. I was online with help chat for an hour yesterday and tried all the fixes he recommended and nothing worked.
Someone on my accounting team was able to amend a journal entry within an accounting period that was closed. How can this happen if the accounting books were closed?
I have two deposits for the same amount for the same service and I'm not sure which one to delete? One is posted through my bank feed. The other seems to have posted when the client paid the invoice sent through QB. Do I keep the one from the client's payment so it's linked through the invoice and shows as paid? Or do I keep the one posted from my bank? And will this happen every time someone pays an invoice or did I do something wrong in how I marked the invoice?
How to i get rid of this notice or fix it so the sales receipt number is not duplicated?
I use quick books point of sale and accept credit cards. It connects to quick books desktop when I run the end of day. Then it has the list of credit card transactions to deposit but quick books intuit sends us a payment to our bank every so often and we cannot figure out how to make our quick books hold out to the bank statements. Is there a way to split credit card transaction to make it hold out?
Why do some of my deposits record to "Customer Refund" instead of Accounts Receivable?
I am not an accountant or bookkeeper and only self-taught with QB Online. I recently paid a vendor from Bank Account A instead of Bank Account B in the amount of $368. My boss said not to worry about reversing the payment and he was transferring $368 from Bank Account B to Bank Account A for the same amount (as reimbursement). But then, he made a mistake and did the opposite; transferred $368 from A to B. What is the proper way to post this transaction in QB and fix it? If Journal Entry, please explain in detail. I am new to this but learn very quickly. Any help is appreciated.
I am just trying to change the customer that a deposit is allocated to, but everything I open the deposit and change the customer, when I save it just reverts back to the original. Any ideas?

I have already accepted these transactions and the following day, they are waiting to be accepted again. 8 of my 13 transactions today had already been confirmed last week.
Since the account is closed, it will never connect - how do I deal with this without deleting everything from this account in the past?
Hello.I have two connected bank accounts in Quickbooks online. I need to transfer actual funds from one connected bank account to another connected bank account. The money has to be physically deposited from one bank account to another. Can this be done? I can only find help to record the transaction but can't find how to just transfer actual funds from one account to another. I do this in PayPal all the time, but I want to be able to do this in Quickbooks online now that my actual bank accounts are connected to my one Quickbooks account.
I just recently purchased a business and inherited an old version of quick books. I need it for the client information and inventory/ client billing. I would also like to use it for reconciling my bank account/ basic accounting. The previous owner’s information including bank deposits/ withdrawals etc. How do I start the banking from square one?? I need to delete all of her banking info and begin with mine but I don’t want to delete anything else. Thanks!!
Payroll was set up to deduct from a general "Cash" account and I need them to post under the business checking account. Can I merge accounts and then delete the original one?
Last month my bank changed names. There was a period of 2 weeks when transactions did not flow consistently. At the end of the month, there were 4 transactions on the statement which were not on the QBO register. I added all 4 then reconciled the account. At the beginning of the month, all 4 transactions were in the review tab and I mistakenly added them. The register shows each transaction; one with an "R" and one with a "C" with 2 green squares. Can I safely delete the 4 transactions with "C"? My reconciliation page shows these transactions each month and I cannot clear them from the form. I am assuming this is due to the fact there are duplicates.
