Other than not issuing them a paycheck every week and marking them on a leave of absence, are there any other changes I need to make in QuickBooks for this employee? I'm using QuickBooks Enterprise 16.
My business locations are separated by class, I would like a payroll report by class. Any suggestions?
all of a sudden when I download payroll, each check is getting numbers in my checkbook vs being marked as an EFT, I have to go in and manually delete all the check numbers on the payroll because they are duplicates of check numbers. This was not an issue in the past, any ideas how to fix this ??
Using QuickBooks Online. I have employees whose pay is split into various expenses and it's different for each employee. Their current pay just all goes into "Payroll: Wage Expense" and I want to change it manually for each employee as they've been paid already. I tried running a Statement of Activities and clicking on their respective journal entry but it's not editable. Is the only way to edit them to create a manual journal entry to reclass them?
Good morning! We signed up several new clients for Intuit Online Payroll back in June and submitted Form 8655 to IOP. To date, the NC state withholding has not been approved for e-filing (state issue, not IOP). We received notification (from IOP) that the NC State Unemployment was approved and it even specifically states it is approved when we "check e-filing status" in IOP. However, now that the third quarter reports are due, when we try to e-file/pay, it says it's not. Time is running out and we can't seem to get the proper level of support to communicate. Doing an online chat isn't getting us any where. Suggestions? Filing on the state website isn't an option since that requires a PIN that the state issues. Having the client mail a paper form with payment defeats the purpose and will likely cost us clients.
We posted our February net wages payments to the wrong cash account. How do I fix that?
Our payment was submitted automatically to the state for the 3rd quarter. I can see it on the state's website but the form needs to be filed. Where do I find the form in Quickbooks online? We are using Payroll Core if that matters. I just have to say the desktop version is so much easier.
I have contacted Quickbooks/Intuit for help but they still have not resolved the issue... anyone else having issues?
Is there an easy way to extract the employee monthly benefit premiums due for Medical, Dental & Vision that includes both the ee deduction and er contribution? I find the "Retirement Plans" report very clean and helpful. I now have to verify that the reporting is correct from the Payroll Administrator since Zenefits no longer sync's with QBO payroll. The custom report does not add the amounts to equal one monthly total. Maybe I just need help creating it... Thanks, Ruth
He should have worked 9/27-9/30. I called QuickBooks and they said because check date was 10/8 it does not qualify. Per IRS website and phone call, check date does not matter. Pay period does. How do I get QB to correct their error?
Once I click on Payroll>Employees, I cannot do anything else from there. I cannot edit anything and I cannot view paycheck list.
Have One employees payroll that will not calculate Social Security or Medicare Taxes both employee and employer share. YES I have all the right boxes checked on there tax set up. This is an employee whom we have done payroll on for years. It just started out of the blue and only on this one employee. YES I have done all the payroll updates. What's the next process?
It seems like there is no way to set a true maximum number of sick hours per year? Seems a bit ridiculous that we cannot follow Arizona state regulations using this software....
