Hi Team, I have a question regarding Home Currency Revaluation.My Home currency is CAD.I have 1 USD Checking, 1 AR and 1 AP account, all three in USD.I did the home currency revaluation and this is happen to me:- The revaluation value of the checking account goes to the exchange gain/loss line in P&L. I assume it's realized gain/loss and taxable.- The revaluation value of the AP and AR goes to the unrealized gain/loss line in P&L. Can anyone explain the difference between two? Why when I do the same revaluation, it posts into 2 different categories? I hope someone can help to shed some light on this. Thank you.
I followed the tutorial video to add a new Expense (old transactions that have to be manually added). I successfully added one, but the next Expense I attempted gave me the error message in the question. Cannot Save or Save and close.

I have noticed if the vendor name is too large that it will cause the name to print onto the second check but does not properly record that check number on the second check and this records the whole run of checks incorrectly relative to the number on the check? Is there not a protection feature in the system to prevent this from occurring.

in the "Payee (Optional)" field, all the vendors/customers are greyed out. When I hover over a vendor or customers, I get this message "You can only record credit card payments in your own home currency". How do I fix this? Everything is done in US currency, so I don't know why this is popping up.
I am interested in moving my Windows QB Pro 2019 Desktop file to Mac QB Online. Is this a straightforward process? Is it possible? It is made a bit more complicated because I am changing platforms as well as the overall system.I just want to know if there is anything I should be aware of before I start the process, assuming it's doable.

Hello all! I have a home bakery business making amazing bagels. I occasionally add on to the days orders for my family. I've been tracking it on paper for tax purposes, but would like to get it into Quickbooks. Does anyone know how I would record X number of bagels created for myself on a given day?
Ever since updating to QB22 we have been having issues all around. We have QB22 installed on a remote server, and users log in to do their accounting, each user has a different company/company file. Each user has their own QB Time account where they do all the management. They use the QB Web connector to import data into QB22. This functionality CONSTANTLY breaks. We end up having to remove the desktop integration, remove the web connector company, uninstall the connection in QB Time, reinstall integration in QB Time, download a new web connector file, add a new web connector instance (set to log in as admin any time), clear the company file path in QB Time, and finally we can resync. Half of the time, the sync while it says successful, does not import any data. Green lights all around, but nothing new. Clearing the company file path in QB Time is supposed to fix this. The other half of the time it works. Everything is great, payroll happens, then BAM! 2 weeks later
Is there a way to include the inventory needed for pending sales in any of the inventory reports? I see that there are ways to include inventory that has been ordered but not yet received; it would seem logical to have a report for inventory committed to a sale but not yet invoiced.
Hello, While doing data entry yesterday, I noticed that the "class" allocation is gone. I went into the Item List, and I also cannot see the default class allocation on individual items and services. Has QBO removed "classes" or did something happen on our end that resulted in me not being able to access it any longer? Thank you!
My wife just got a new computer and I need to install Premier Professional Services 2015 onto it. I have the key for it from the install on the old computer and while I was able to download a 2015 Premier version from Intuit, the key doesn't work as it wasn't the Professional Services version. I realize this is old but the business it was used for has been wrapped up and I only need the software for a couple of years on the off-chance I get audited.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am most definitely not willing to pay for an upgrade or buy a new version.Thanks!

Hi..Our bankers have just made mandatory alternations to the cheque formatting. How can I get Quickbooks to print using a new template?
We made a purchase with one of our suppliers and they accidentally overcharged us $ 50.00 on our credit card. We recorded the bill payment with the over paid amount which created a credit of $ 50.00. Now the supplier returned the $ 50.00 to our credit card. If I enter a credit card credit it will not clear the balance of - $50.00 in my vendor account. How do I balance this?Thanks for advice!
How can I view a parent account of a sub account without editing the sub account? Because the sub account is inactive, the edit function is not available. The account will not activate because the parent account is not active.
My boyfriend has a lobster fishing business and he travels far for work so I like that we can track his mileage. But he also travels a lot on the ocean so I wish I had the option to track that as well. Am I missing something? When I go to add a vehicle the only option there is for a car.
There are multiple deposits in the bank for fees received from students, different amounts, different dates. All being Fees received, it would help to select all these receipts and then categorize as Fees received. Currently I am categorizing each deposit individually. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Sync with Square finally stopped working, so we have had to migrate to Connect with Square- where we used to have invoices and payments and the taxes came across correctly. Now all the taxes on every transaction since Connect with Square are random, make zero sense adn are completely wrong. Taxes are set up, the only thing sold are "square items" and all have GST/PST. whle the total of the taxes is correct the split is inaccurate - the best one is GST at 8.8% and PST at 3.1%. it is going to be a nightmare to track and post and correct every transaction manually. Any ideas on how to get the taxes to come across accurately??

in vendor center - click a vendor, show the 'transactions' tab.my transactions tab is set up to display the 'open balance' column, (so i can see which bills haven't been paid yet).ALL transactions that are 'credit card purchases' for a vendor show open balances, which is weird because a credit card charge means the bill is inherently paid....Any ideas how to get those entries to show $0 open balance? thanks folks :)
