Hi,Is it possible to get a notification sent to my email when someone replies back to my post on Quickbooks Ask My Community? If so, please tell me how to do so.
I have a supplier that most of the time sends an invoice as for a cashout that I input as a Vendor bill and clear using the pay bills feature, easy peasy. In October this vendor owed us money not for overpayment but as a cash in ( they owed for a buyback) of $137.82 so that went in as a customer invoice and goes into our sales. Instead of issuing payment for the $137.82 they applied the October Credit to our November invoice which was $2,716.21 which I put in as a bill for November. However what I actually paid was $2,578.39 because they applied the credit.Because of the way that we report the October credit in our sales it needs to go in as a customer invoice. How would I balance this in QBO? I am sure this is a super simple question but I clearly do not have the brainpower this morning to figure it out.
I need to set up a line of credit construction loan. The entire amount will put into an account. Will the account be set up as an asset or a liability? I will need to record draw downs that will go to various home construction jobs. I will need to calculate and pay interest expense periodically. The loan will be paid off at closing. How is the best way to handle this so that I can track the draw downs and the interest?
In the past month or two, QuickBooks Online has begun hanging while I'm using it in Firefox. It seems to happen mainly when I open an item from a list, like a vendor bill or a customer invoice. The loading image just spins and spins. When I refresh the page, I get to the page I want to be, but then I have to re-navigate back to the list. My Windows OS is fully updated, I'm using the most updated version of FireFox, and my high-speed internet is working just fine. I don't have a large number of tabs open in FireFox or a large number of other internet-based programs open on my machine. Does anybody else have this issue? Does anybody know if QBO is aware of it and working to fix it?

I'm currently working with the QuickBooks Desktop API and have encountered a scenario related to customized job status names.In the QuickBooks Desktop UI, I've successfully customized the job status names as follows (Edit->Preferences->Jobs & Estimates-> Company Preferences):Example:"Pending" to "Test1""In Progress" to "Test2""Awarded" to "Test3""Closed" to "Test4"However, when I retrieve job status information through the QuickBooks Desktop API, it seems to return the default status names (Pending, None, In Progress, Awarded...) rather than the customized ones set in the UI.My questions are:Is there a specific API endpoint or method that provides access to the customized job status names set in the QuickBooks Desktop UI?Have there been any recent updates or changes in the API that address the retrieval of customized field names for job statuses?I appreciate any insights or guidance you can provide on this matter. I have some landlords that that get paid via ACH and some with checks, plus some landlords have multiple tenants. Is there a way I can print a separate 1099 for the landlords that have multiple tenants? (1 1099MISC. for each tenant).
Bank/Card does not exist in Quickbooks. To use this Bank/Card in Quickbooks, you need to first add it to your company file.Can someone please tell me what format this is supposed to be in. I have the main bank account listed and i want to match the debit cards to the main account. I am not using bankfeeds to download. Is this something i need to turn on to make this work in Receipt management?
Good Morning - I have a few questions. After years of using the 'Plus' subscription level, I have just figured out that I have been paying for features that I have not, nor ever will use. So down grading to a plan like 'Simple' seems to match my needs. In doing this - will it change anything in regards to allowing clients to pay through the invoice? And related to receiving payments - is there a way to create a rule that will add 3% processing fee to an invoice if they do use a credit card? For years I have added a manual edit to their invoice to add a line for this fee. So looking for your experience. Next question - I do have a few dozen clients on a reoccurring monthly plan, that I manually enter every month & send out. Is there a way to create a rule for this reoccurring invoice?Thanks for your help!Steve
I need to add a custom column to the Invoice to show the customer the Listing Price wich is different to the actual sale price.Is that possible with QB Online? The Activity Table is lacking the feature to add any custom content. Really disappointing compared to QB Desktop where you have more choices for customization.
I reconciled our company credit cards (several employee cards under the owner's main account) on 11/10/23 and entered the credit card bill of $23K in QBO. Before the credit card payment was due, we received notification that we were close to our overall credit card limit (due to some large expenses), so I made a large payment ($90K) on the credit card that was for more than the 11/10/23 statement ending balance. When I entered the payment in QBO it marked the 11/10/23 bill of $23K as paid and created and additional credit of $67K. We just received our 12/10/23 credit card bill and when I try to reconcile the owner's credit card, I am off by the $67K additional credit. How do I get the $67K to show up when I reconcile the credit card so that I can check it off and get the reconciliation to balance?
How can I make Class a required field on the time entry form?
I would like to ask regarding the upload of Chart of account, particularly for parent and sub accounts. What should be the balance of the parent company? Should it be zero or I need to sum up the balance of the sub accounts?
Been a QB subscriber for about 25 years. In all that time, the software has retained many of its glitches, which makes me very nervous to try to trust Intuit going forward (I never have actually trusted them, but they're obviously good at increasing the price of the software without any accountability towards fixing the issues with it). Just as one example, each time we go into the payroll section to write a new paycheck, the date ALWAYS defaults to a different month/pay period that we are in. This has to be constantly monitored, even though I pay hefty fees for the software each year. This problem has followed us for (at least) 10 years that I'm aware of. I also, for some unknown reason, can no longer use the "Notes" section in a customer's profile, to put notes in that might be of relevance later. We used to be able to do this, but no more. The price of the software has increased every year, for no reason whatsoever, yet I don't feel like I get good value out of it at all.
Why this option Quickbooks lab not appear in setting, how come? I bought the upper level of QBO - Advanced version, someone can help me? I need to import a template made it in QB desktop designer
When I run a profit and loss report it shows the deposits made into the savings accounts as part of income. How do I separate those to show just deposits made into the checking account. I want my income to be accurate and not show donations placed into savings accounts.
When I attempt to open a company It loads but all I get is a blank page and it freezes up.

I signed into QB this morning and now received an error for Tax ID's. I click on every vendor and the tax ID shows up as a bunch of letters and symbols. How does that corrected as I don't have time to re-enter tax ID's for all my vendors. What caused this to happen? I used Premier Contractor Edition 2019.
For some strange reason, I am showing up as the Primary Admin instead of the Company Admin of my own company file. I am really worried that someone else is in my file?!?
I have invoices that need to be emailed out before the invoice date (They are due 01/01/2024) but when I go to send the forms (QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop) none of the invoices show up. I have over 200 to send. HELP!
Has anyone found a way to do a file upload with more than the 3-4 allowed columns in Quickbooks? I need a lot more detail than this in manually integrating my REACH application payout and donation transactions into Quickbooks. Any help is greatly appreciated!!! Thank you. Paul
