I need an email address to contact QuickBooks support regarding issues and bugs that require asynchronous work.
When I run my Inventory Stock Status by Site report and select our 1 of our sites it shows some items having a negative quantity on Purchase Orders. How is this possible? How do I fix it? I have tried going to the Bills where the parts were receipted into inventory and not tying them to a purchase order and it fixes it, BUT when I do that it says the purchase order is still open and that we still have the quantity to receive from the vendor. If I go to the Purchase order and manually close it then the negative quantity comes back onto my report.
It’s a little complicated. I provide foot care service to a long term care home and the invoice has all of the residents’ names on it. One of the client’s spouse requires a copy to submit to his insurance for coverage. Is it possible to send her a service summary of some kind, without all the other names on it because of client confidentiality. Creating an invoice just for her would be requiring payment, and she does not need to pay me as I bill the long term care home. Or is there a way to create a letterhead so I can send the information she needs?
Would anyone be able to help me with this issue? I can not export the receipts from the Epson Scanner to the Quick Books Desktop. Thank you.
I am having difficulty with the following: I am submitting a PO to a vender with the old price. When I receive the bill, it is at another price. I need to know exactly how to handle this and have the Inventory, AP, COGS accounts record properly. Roslyn Morgante
First, let me say that QuickBooks has absolutely horrendous customer service. For one of the top-used software platforms, this is appalling! We teach Quickbooks Online for Accountants using the curriculum with the same name published through Cengage. Last fall, we were able to easily help students sign up for a free QBO account to complete their coursework. We are just starting our new students and now are unable to do the same. Between myself, students and parents, we have spent well over 40 hours, collectively, trying to solve what appears to be an unsolvable problem. The website: https://www.intuit.com/ca/partners/education-program/registration/student-quickbooks-online/, which we have always used to register students, only lists Canadian schools now. Clicking on the top right drop-down menu to select United States directs us to https://www.intuit.com/partners/education-program/, which is zero help.I already have my institution email tied to QBO for Accountants, and wh
I keep getting this error message when I try to integrate our Quickbooks Online and DonorSnap. "Uh oh, there's a connect problem. Sorry but the app didn't connect. Please try again later or contact customer support for help." I am not really getting much help from the customer support chat either. Any thoughts on the issue? Thanks!
The Get Things Done page changed and I don't have an Icon called Bills to click on to see pay certain bills all at once.
What is the proper way to record a check given to the company to reimburse accidental use of the company credit card on a personal purchase? The credit card has already been paid in full by the company. If the employee gives us a check written to the company, how do I record it in quickbooks desktop? Also, Can you take the reimbursement out of the employees check if they want it done that way?

Hello all! I have searched and searched for a solution to an issue I am having with QBO. I am a General Contractor and job cost each of my projects. One of the continuing hurdles I face is when I return materials and given a refund (funds directly deposited into my bank account). Just to be clear, not a vendor credit...but an actual refunds of dollars. So my example is this, I purchased $212.35 worth of material from Home Depot and booked this into QBO again Job Name = Hardy Remodel. I then ended up returning $83.36 worth of material to Home Depot, and in the perfect world, I would like to reduce the expense of $212.35 by the $83.36. I just have no idea how to book this refund against the Hardy Remodel job. I even tried to enter in a negative "Bill" but QBO does not allow me to do that. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
This problem started this week as far as I know. I have researched this board and found a couple of answers but they DID NOT work. I do bookkeeping for a general contractor, and some of the time I will remote in using Logmein. That is working fine and is not the issue. My client called me today and he was unable to print invoices. In fact, when he tried to print an invoice it locked up QBDT (Pro 2019). Again, was working last week. I connected to his computer and check it out and it does lock up QBDT when trying to print invoices. I can print reports from QBDT and the printer works without any issues outside of QBDT. I am also unable to print to the XPS Writer and to the PDF Driver (from Acrobat). BUT I am able to print invoices to my remote printer, the one in my office. Also, windows is not affected, this is a QBDT problem, and when the print invoice locks up, it is only locking up QBDT. In researching this problem,
We pay our employees weekly. We have an employee who asked to have child support taken out automatically. I have to manually send the check. When I go to create the check, instructions that I have found online say to click the account you want to use to pay the check from, well there are only four options and they are all "bank" accounts. When I set up the account for the child support my understanding is that it is a liability account and I set it up under Payroll Liabilities and the Account Type is Other Current Liabilities and I named it NC Child Support. Can someone tell me how to do this correctly please? Thank you!

My employer uses QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise: Manufacturing & Wholesale Edition. We have just completed setting up a manufacturing line and now we need to learn how to convert the raw materials in our inventory to a finished product inventory item. We have traditionally only used the Wholesale side of the software but are now beginning to manufacture and need a little processing help.
When sending invoices from QBO, they aren't always being delivered. After doing research online it appears that QBO is suppressing the reality of this situation. Plain and simple, this is a MAJOR Quickbooks problem. Not a problem of their users like me that are trying to send invoices to customers, and it's not an issue on our customer's end either...please QB support and engineering don't use that as an excuse. I've found a lot of communication surrounding this issue, and it's an issue on Quickbooks hands. I use QBO myself, and when I use the ability to send an invoice to a customer from QBO I expect and rely on it to work. I have QBO set up to copy myself on the invoice being sent, my business partner, and my office manager. Sometimes I don't receive a copy of the email with the invoice attached, sometimes my business partner doesn't, sometimes my office manager doesn't, and after talking with customers, they are are also not receiv
What's the difference between taxable discounts and non-taxable discounts in an invoice?
When opening QB 2020 (Pro and Premier) after running the R9 update but before running the R10 update, I get a message indicating how many skips remain. I have a client who skipped three times and the fourth time she tried to open QuickBooks was unable to do so without running the R10 update first. I can't find anything about this in the release notes for either R9 or R10. Is this a new "feature" or is this an old one I just managed not to encounter before?
I have been using the new Square app to sync Square purchases with QBO. I added a new Square location last week, but the list of locations in the QBO Square App Settings Locations list does not show the new location. In addition, there appears to be no way to add the location to that list. In addition to that, sales from the new location are not getting imported into Square.

When trying to close our multi-currency books for the year in Quickbooks Online, I went to the Currencies list and chose Revalue Currency for USD. Under "Rate" it gives you two options: 1) Market Rate on Revalue Date2) Custom Rate In order to comply with Nicaraguan government requirements, we need to revalue our currency using the Nicaragua Central Bank rates. Thus, I chose "Custom Rate" and added in our custom rate or 32.3305. However, the revalue calculation still used the Market Rate of 32.3705, even though I didn't not click that circle. I deleted the Journal Entry that was made and tried again, without luck. So our accounts are currently showing balances in the home currency (NIO) that are not correct according to the government requirements here in Nicaragua. Could this be a programming glitch? Has anyone else experienced this? I can add a manual journal entry to adjust these USD balances, but obviously thi
Prior to me doing some bookwork, people were using a non-inventory "Shipping" item on purchase orders. The item was tied to a COGS account. This Shipping "item" was used for:Inbound freight on inventoryInbound freight on things like office supplies, shop supplies, shipping boxes, tools, equipment, etc. (not directly related to a product we sell).#1 seems correct, #2 seems wrong and should be a regular expense account. In any case, "receiving" shipping against a PO is just weird and this should go in the expense tab on an item receipt or bill. Additionally, this same COGS account was being used for USPS and UPS outbound shipping (shipping orders to customers). I think this is wrong too. Advice from the accountants out there like @BigRedConsulting ?
