We recently opened a line of credit for $450k. I created a new account in Quickbooks, listing it as Other current liabilities > Line of Credit and entered the balance as $450k. However, when I tried to record a Transfer of $130k from the LOC to the bank account, it added $130k to both the bank balance and to the LOC balance, making the LOC balance $580k instead of subtracting the 130 from the available line and making it $320k. Should the opening balance have been recorded as -$450k instead? Or should the transaction be a journal entry instead of a transfer?
My NYS unemployment account is currently over paid.. There is a line (line 😎 on the NYS- 45 allows you to enter in the amount that is overpaid. Then in line 10 it subtracts that from what you owe and line 11 allows you to apply any excess to outstanding liabilities and/or refund. I just can't figure out how to edit that pre-generated form on quickbooks.
Our Christian school is having their first fundraiser. I'm wondering what the best way is to set that up in our chart of accounts. Should I set it up as a subaccount? And if yes, what do I classify it as? Thanks.

When entering a single day transaction, it used to remember the previous day you said you said you were entering for. So if you are entering an entry for today for someone for yesterday, it defaults to the current day & you have to change the day each time you make an entry. Also, we had it set to enter start/ stop times before - now you have to hit the set clock in /out every single entry you make in order to do so. How can these things be adjusted? Thanks!

Hi, I have been using Quickbooks recurring invoices for several months. However, today I logged in to create a new recurring invoice, and then when I try to edit that recurring invoice, it is missing some of my invoice fields and has several recurring payment fields. What is going on? Will recurring invoices be supported going forward without the requirement to use any QBO Payments option? If this will not be supported, that's fine, I just need to know so I can switch to another recurring invoice provider. My customers all pay via ACH so there's no QBO or other third-party % fee. I accidentally upgrade from Self-Employed Online to Quickbook Online. Now all my receipts are missing.Using QBO the transaction suggestion is so wrong. The Bank Connection is never able to reestablished.And they would not let you downgrade back which is crazy!I am thinking of moving away from this stupid tax software.
Can someone tell me how I can backup Quickbooks Online Payroll data? My client has QBO with QBO Payroll and they don't want to pay for Advanced just to get PR data backups. Rewind is a most awesome product for QBO backups (I highly recommend! Everyone should be using it.) But, due to Intuit not allowing the API interface to work with Rewind (security, they say, for real?) you can't use it to backup the payroll info. I'm thinking if Intuit won't let Rewind in to do a backup, then there's probably no other apps out there either that can. Thus the client has to download PR reports....is that the only way?thanks.
when we try to print an invoice for a customer after they paid the invoice is only showing the line items. It no longer shows the invoice paid at the bottom right
When i go to the Developer space portal, i get below message, i do not see my company name. "Trying APIs disabled as sandbox companies not found for this account. Either you do not have any sandbox companies created OR there was a failure fetching sandbox companies for this account. Go to the Sandbox page to create/view existing sandboxes. If you can see sandboxes there, please provide feedback to the team regarding missing sandboxes on this page". Appreciate if someone can please help wit this issue. Thanks!
Is there a way to create a time type that records the time entry to the project, but doesn't add the $$s to the project? But instead records that time type to overhead? Thx!
