Most of the time we do a backup, QB Desktop Premier Pro 2023 makes us do a rebuild. The problem is that the rebuild brings different issues up every time. When we complete the rebuild we also find that the data can sometimes get messed up. For example, a random customer may show up under a vendor, etc. It is very inconsistent and this has been happening for years. It's scary to do a backup/rebuild given the issues we have almost every time. In all the times we have worked with QB, no one could ever fix the issue. Any suggestions?
Hello,I’ve requested a change to our primary admin/contact at least four times, and have received confirmation that the change was made. However, when I contacted support today, they refused to assist me and insisted on speaking only with the primary admin.I am the primary admin.Why is it necessary to speak with the primary admin to resolve an issue that’s system-related? I have never had to disclose confidential information in the past, and most fixes are simply downloaded.Is it standard procedure for the customer support chat to ask if they've resolved the issue and then end the conversation immediately without giving me a chance to respond?I would appreciate clarification on these points.Thank you,
Intuit will not credit us for the account we haven't used in two years but has been billed by them. They have charged $4681.48 in Sept of 2023 and $6171.93 in Sept of 2024 for QB Enterprise and ALSO $1449 in March of 2023 and $1599 in March of 2024 for QuickBooks plus. Somebody didn't do their job when we upgraded to Enterprise and now we are paying for it with no chance of a refund. I spoke to one guy who promised me over a $3k refund on 1/21/25 but that didn't happen. All we got was a small refund for $613.68. Called again today and was told "Sorry we can't refund you for a product that wasn't cancelled and we can't tell if it was used." I was sent a link to try and get a refund but when I enter the date and amount of the charge (which is shown under my account) I get a message saying "We can't find that charge" This is such BS. Is there someplace I can actually send an email to the billing department to find some help without having to
Hi, I use Quickbooks desktop and Fishbowl Inventory. They are both normally connected and Fishbowl exports data to Quickbooks. Recently Fishbowl has stopped connecting to Quickbooks for some reason. I tried to resync the two but it cannot establish a connection to Quickbooks. Below is the error code, does any have any ideas? 2019 QB MAC desktop will no longer work on my laptop once I updated my laptop to Sequoia . Intuit said my only option is to move to QB Online. I have 2 companies & only use GL, ( Dep & Cks) JE & Memorized Trans. Can anyone recommend another solution? I really do not want to start to have pay a monthly fee! One computer is used only.
I did "Add a new deposit" on 1/29/25. There were about 5 checks in the deposit. The checks have been stolen.How can I pull up that deposit (the last one I've made) to find the invoice numbers and who paid me?.

Hi - I am using Desktop Pro Plus 23. We often take advance deposits on projects. When I would create an invoice for a customer - a reminder would pop up asking if I would like to apply a credit to the invoice. It had options - Yes, No, Don't ask me again. While I do not remember turning off the reminder - it is possible I might have in haste. I cannot find where to turn on this reminder again.I know where to find the credits, how to apply them manually etc. I do not want to automatically apply credits - as we often wait til later in the project or the final invoice to apply deposits. I would just like the reminder prompt to come up again when I finish an invoice - so that I am not overlooking a deposit on hand.Thank you!
I have a vendor who paid me for services and quickbooks is holding the payment without information as to why it is being held or under review. it has been two weeks without my funds being released. Terrible business practices!
A contractor can't remember how to sign into their account to view 1099. How can they find their signin?
Is there a way to have a Singular Part in Inventory have multiple vendors each using a unique PN for that Vendor? Say I'm ordering an item thats available multiple places and at place A it's PN#123 and Place B its PN#321 but I want to track them all under a single part number in our system. Is that possible? I see where I can flag multiple alternative vendors but I can't seem to change any info relating to that alternate vendor.
When I run a "Profit and Loss" report for the year of 2024 and an "Invoice list" for the year 2024, the total income on the Profit and Loss report is showing a lower amount for total income than the Invoice List report is showing. What am I missing?
Is there a way to set up a custom invoice template in QuickBooks Desktop to only display the total account summary, rather than each individual transaction? For example, I don't want to show a line for each of my individual flight charges, but a single line with the total for the airplane expense account. Thanks!!
Hi everyone!I work for a church and am setting up a Roth IRA through Charles Schwab for my retirement plan. I'm looking for a way to automate contributions directly from my paycheck. Ideally, I’d like a fixed amount to be deducted and deposited into my Roth IRA each pay period. We initially tried setting it up as a “Deduction” in QuickBooks, but that didn’t work. I can add my Schwab account as a secondary direct deposit and send the desired amount there. However, I’m concerned about whether that method might cause tax issues. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
When performing an electronic filing of my 1099s, the Recipients and Totals look perfect in terms of the data to be included in the 1099 forms. And when I look at the summary report for the MISC and NEC filed reports, the amounts are shown perfectly in the reports. However, when I view the downloaded 1099s that were filed, Box 1 (Nonemployee compensation) is completely blank for all the 1099s. Are the mailed 1099s going to be correct and these are missing only online?
Hi, Anyone encountered issues wherein the payroll transactions does not pull the correct class assigned to the employee? What could be the reason and how to fix this? There one more thing I noticed, when there are two line of expense account used in the payroll transaction, looks like one or the two has the class tagging and the other do not have class.
I am using the Gusto QBO integration for contractor payroll. A contractor sends me a bill for their work, I forward that to my QBO email address and log it as a bill. I then issue payment from Gusto, which logs a journal entry in QBO. I then see the transaction in my bank transaction feed. However, when the bank transaction comes in, it sees the Bill and the Gusto journal entry as 2 separate things, and only allows me to match 1. How can I show that the Gusto payment is to pay off the Bill in QBO, and eliminating the apparent "duplicate" of the journal entry and the bill, and easily tying that payment in the transactions to the bill being paid via Gusto? How do I record a customer prepayment on QuickBooks Accountants Desktop ver 2024?
I use Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions Desktop and process our payroll with the Quickbooks Enhanced for two separate companies. On 9/30 when paying our semiweekly 941 taxes via EFTPS online, I made one payroll tax payment payment that was correct. Then I made an additional payment of $8775.24 on the same day thinking I had opened up the other company's EFTPS but I didn't, essentially I overpaid the 3rd Qtr 941 taxes by $8,775.24. I noticed this error before the Form 941 for 3rd Qtr was filed and I reported the overpayment on Line 15 and checked the box to apply to the next return. On 9/30 I first entered the $8775.24 liability check by Create Custom Liability Payments. Then I entered a second liability check, the same way, for the correct liability tax payment so that it would show the 3rd qtr overpayment of tax. When we entered into 4th Qtr, on the first federal tax payment/payroll processing I short paid the federal tax liability EFTPS payment on 10
Our company has been using (dare I say under-utilizing) QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop for many years. We believe that we could achieve significant improvements in our job costing and inventory management by developing and deploying build assemblies for the various products we fabricate or assemble and eventually install.We are wondering what the best practices might be to undertake a project like this to be able to thoughtfully develop the various inputs to the application. Is it feasible to work with a set of files for a "mock company" without disrupting the ongoing business files?We'd like to develop the process and details and test them before adding the elements to the company's actual live files and operations. Is that difficult to do?
I own 2 companies and Company A purchased Property Z. However, I then deeded Property Z to Company B, and the loan still has a balance. Company B will take over the payments for Company A. How do I account for this in QB? I need to transfer the Fixed Asset (Property Z) from Comp A to Comp B and the loan balance. I am unsure of which accounts to use for the loan balance to clear it from A and add to B. Thanks!
We have an employee who already had an Intuit Workforce account. When he clicks our invite, he logs in and only sees the old company he worked at. How does he or we get our company added to his account?
